  1. I can't implement them, for I'm not Anet. But maybe they'll give you a portal device. I don't see what's bad about that, I can still refuse to use it and run the puzzles myself. And if I see you along the way, maybe I'll give you a portal without you asking. Feel free to ignore it though. I find it odd that G2 legendaries aren't tradable but the G1 and G3 legendaries are, so sure, whatever. Stick 'em on the TP. I'm not sure what PvP gizmo you're referring to so I can't speak to that. And I assume you're already American, so Anet doesn't need to do anything here. Oh, and for your social anxiety... *Spongebob voice* well, good luck with that.
  2. Actually better than I had hoped for. My other real good option was "eventually make nine friends to play raids with" but that's low on the list. (Doesn't help the friends I do have are currently busy with other things and other games.) I was really expecting something like this for legendary open world armour: Anet: "Oh you want a grind?" *cracks knuckles*
  3. A lot of what you said can already be bought with gold though. "Just one more thing" already happened in some ways. Nobody cares about your or mine or anyone else's accomplishments in a video game. You should care about yours, if you desire, but why should you care about mine or Joe Smith's? It's a game. A lot of things can be bought already via Gem Shop, in the sense of "swipe card, convert gems to gold, go shopping," including most completed legendary weapons, and your precious confetti, as well as carries through raids (make your ring or Envoy armour for the low, low price of...) and other things I'm sure. GoB and GoE have finite use, so why not allow players to sell them if they desire? If I want, I can roll a dozen alts and do map completion, but I have no use for GoE, so they'll just rot in my bank I guess? Why not reward my hard work? (I'm sorry, "hard work," it's just a few hours grinding in a game anyway.) As for your 1k gold... well, go for it. It'll just shuffle the market around a bit and then everything will stabilize after based on the 1k gold influx everyone got.
  4. Anet has already shown precedent for removing grind in favour of providing QoL improvements for some items via the WV (Legendary Starter Kit namely, which is pretty big IMO, skipping a bunch of "questing" and all). What's one more in the same vein? Or should they remove several things in the WV because they're all obtainable through other ingame means? Should Transmutation Charges be removed? Gold? Vision Crystals? Crafting Bags? They're all so easy to get, just like Gift of Battle and Gift of Exploration! Just go play the content! Only takes a few hours! Oh, and "my American friend," if you need help with a jumping puzzle, I'll gladly provide you a portal.
  5. Yup! Sure, killed the big one to show proof to Nesingwary (he'd always want the horns or whatever), but my hunter would only kill said big one for the meat otherwise, and just sorta... lie his way through having not actually slaughtered thirty others of the species. Responsible hunters don't kill the whole herd, Nesingwary. *shakes head*
  6. Additionally I'm all for head-canon land. Don't necessarily love something in game? Maybe you can sort of "think" your way around it. I mentioned my mesmer preferring his non-booze options earlier, but additionally, I don't think he actually kills as much stuff as the game has us believe we do. I imagine a lot of his interactions with not-so-friendlies often results in them getting knocked out or whatever to await authorities to pick them up rather than having them killed. (Bandits and such for example.) I also like to avoid combat where I can. Mesmers can make themselves invisible and use illusions to trick people into thinking things are or aren't real, so shouldn't be toooo hard to slip past those guards over there... But the game had me kill them because that's what's programmed, right? Sometimes, you need to get creative if there's parts of the game you don't love but still want to play it.
  7. This is actually a good idea. Whoever "player 1" is would have to interact with such objects in order to continue the story. Your purpose as "player 2" is to help with the combat.
  8. No that can't be it, else all puppies are outlaws. ...Wait maybe you're on to something.
  9. Now I want to know what puppy laws exist that this particular puppy broke, or why the llama is "lavish?" And why are llamas so rare in Tyria? I want the generic creature lore.
  10. For OP and anyone else trying to avoid story spoilers, this isn't a story spoiler. It's a semi-sarcastic, yet valid post.
  11. Did some quick math for fun on the ectos yesterday. One whole set of Obsidian gear needs 3600 ectos. Want to make all three sets? 10 800 ectos. This assumes you aren't crafting Ascended gear to turn to Research Notes or salvage for Balls of Dark Energy as well. Anyway, working as intended. And it'll be a while before I start collecting ectos for something else I guess lol Edit: ***This wasn't a complaint on my part.***
  12. Re: Medhi's grog: I recall all we did here was collect ingredients that he used to make the brew, which was given to another party. Our character hasn't had to drink alcohol since the personal story I do believe (and even then it's only in some story paths, as OP notes). Any other instance I can think of where my character might have held a mug it wasn't mentioned what was in the mug, so I always head-canoned that he had juice lol
  13. How about some more butt skirts? Uhh, meaning just... more skirts? lol
