  1. Does the Daze duration stack with all the clones giving it? If Mirage can guarantee enemies get permanently Dazed there is less than zero chance that it will survive into release. People already complained to much about the invulnerability of Mirage's. Imagine if there's no way you can ever attack them.
  2. Is Dagger Ambush really that much better than Scepter Ambush? Scepter Ambush deals out 5x conditions for each clone and the clones deal Torment conditions while Auto Attacking. Plus Scepter is great for maintaining clones.
  3. It works GREAT for other classes. Tempest with Sword and Warhorn is getting 48k+ benchmark. But the Mesmer spec weapons are just useless without the specs traitline or is just useless like the shield.
  4. I don't really care if it's Alacrity. Chronomancer has the Shield and Wells. I just wish I could play a more defensive oriented build with those.
  5. I've heard it should be useful in WVW where there is to much AoE and Phantasms don't work well because they die before they can attack. I'm sorry it is lost for your OW Mirage though.
  6. At least you're here to keep me company.
  7. Because it'll be good to have the option to throw the Bladestorm out to 1200 if you need it. But if you don't need it that far then you can get more use by clumping up the targets? You'll have choices when to use which skill.
  8. I think it's clear that CMCs overriding goal with this patch is ensuring people just stop taking Mesmers into PVP.
  9. It's not about meta stacking. It'll give more hits on your target if you place it decently regardless of your build.
  10. I wasn't just wondering how well it can maintain Quickness. I'm wondering how it would fit in a group. If it can provide enough healing and boons or DPS to justify taking a slot over another Quickness provider.
  11. Look at my first line. I was only talking about PVE. As I said I have next to no experience in PVP or WVW so I'm not qualified to talk about it at all. That's why my first posts here were asking which mode people were complaining about.
  12. So does this only grant Alac in PVE? In the PVP lobby it was showing to only grant Protection. The Wiki is currently updated to show Alac in PVE and Protection in PVP.
  13. Is the Alac for Specter only in PVE? I decided to delete my Ranger after this patch to roll a Thief. I think both Daredevil and Specter look interesting. I went into the PVP lobby to try it out but I could not find anything in the Specter traitline to grant Alac. I tried the different Grandmaster traits and nothing seemed to grant Alac in or coming out of Shroud. So am I missing it entirely or is it only in PVE?
  14. CVirt looks like it will be overpowered in PVE. I don't play Mesmer in PVP so I don't know how the changes affect that mode. Brainlessly powerful combat with the amount of bleed stacks. The changes to Bladestorm and Requiem are increasing the CVirt damage because Bladestorm does more hits to the target getting more Bleeding and Requiem is instant so it doesn't interrupt your other attacks.
  15. The numbers are just emphasizing the underlying pisspoor design of the change though. CA is where the bulk of the healing emergency support came from. But now the ability for the Druid to provide the Alac boon gets WORSE as the group it's trying to support gets better. It's harder to accrue the Astral Force to get back into CA when your group is not needing healing constantly. But this means that it's going to be even harder to be able to be in CA when the group actually does need healing to get through mechanics. The Condi DPS Druid isn't as bad as the healing support druid... But it's a pisspoor design to only use CA as a trigger for a 10% damage buff when you can get back to using your axe or bow. CA with Eclipse does a miniscule amount of conditions and you lose out on the additional strike damage. What would have been much more interesting is if Eclipse removed healing from CA and actually gave it good access to Conditions to where it could do 42k DPS in CA... So you're always trying to spend as much time in CA to do damage as possible and working to get back into it when you run out of Astral Force. But the design CMC made just turns CA into a limiting burden instead of a way to make the class better.
  16. There are so many ways that CMC destroyed classes that you are justified in complaining about. What they did to Druid and Unplayed is a travesty as well as Mirage. At least the new sword is more powerful than the last one.
  17. Yup. Most players shouldn't need any boon duration. The build should be completely identical for every Chrono playing in PVE. Full Berserkers gear. Greatsword / Sword+Sword.
  18. At least with the Phantasms you can grant Alac within the first second of combat. It's not like the last patch Quickness where you had to spend 3 seconds or so getting 3 Clones to shatter. As long as your first button press in combat is a Phantasm the effect will be minimal on your group.
  19. The best case would have probably just been to have the Druid grant Alacrity whenever they grant Regen. That would fit how the boon generation has been going with other classes and the Druid can overprovide Regen.
  20. The problem with Fervent Force and Ancient Seeds I think are two separate issues. Ancient Seeds was taken out of the game I am betting because CMC himself got kited and killed by a Druid and so has a vendetta against that skill. The problem with Fervent Force is more of a balancing issue. Along with Continuum Shift with the Chronomancer Fervent Force creates a MASSIVE gap between the skill floor and skill ceiling. The gap for these two classes are much bigger than any other class in the game. It makes things a pain for balancing because if you try to balance the numbers so the average player can enjoy the content then the high end players will blow through everything without any challenge. But if you set the numbers for the high end players to be balanced then the average player is too far below the curve. That's one reason the Untamed was so unpopular. To be adequate was above the skill ability of the majority of players and it just wasn't worthwhile. This also makes it more difficult when introducing new abilities. They are now coming out with the Daggers and maces that the Untamed will have access to. The question is how will those work out when put in a situation where the high end players can effectively eliminate cooldowns while other people can't maintain those rotations?
  21. Man. I've been reading the Snowcrows discord. It looks like Virtuoso is going to be overpowered with how much damage they're getting out of these skills.
  22. You grant Quickness anytime you grant Barrier. Not just when you Manifest Sandshades. There are tons of ways Scourge provides barrier. It looked to me like they added more this patch.
  23. Are y'all referring to PVP or PVE?
  24. Hm. I wonder how good a Flamethrower Quickness Scrapper will be.
  25. I had created a Ranger so I could have a Healer and I didn't like Mechanist or Firebrand who were the other meta options. I didn't enjoy the Celestial Avatar aspect to boost healing but whatever. I was actually looking forward to this patch for Ranger because the description with weapon swapping regarding the ambushes made it like that was all that was needed. Why the KITTEN does Weapon Swap reset the cooldown if you still have to press F5 twice each time you want to provide Quick? It just makes it so much clunkier and provides no benefit to the player.
