Same, they're called "trash" mobs for a reason. Why would anyone care about uptime if the things die in 2 seconds? But lately I've been preferring Spear much more if the encounter isn't particularly anti-melee. You get both the boon output and the damage increase, and Spear skills can be spammed in such short succession that it can even provide boon uptime during short trash phases. Since you mentioned GS, quick check: Did you trait Bountiful Blades? That's the bread and butter of your boon provision using GS, the trait essentially doubles your boon output for 0 concentration investment. I did try the kitty golem to upkeep Quickness without Shatter (and without Alac, like you mentioned), and while it's indeed true that you need to Shatter to keep Quickness 100% up, I was able to upkeep 90-95% uptime with no Shatter (yes, only Sw5 + Disenchanter, GS 4, Signet then GS 4 + Disenchanter). No, I didn't do CS, so it's not that required.

Yeah current balance team has been exposed to be boonball sadists. Also calling them WvW players is an insult to real WvW players, they don't even attempt to capture any objectives for sheet, and all that they care about is massive large scale zergs vs. zergs vs zergs. What they play is an entirely different game that happens to utilize WvW maps because PvP maps don't have the tech. Have I mentioned that the balance team literally doesn't play PvE in any shape or form, no not even open world content, let alone high end instanced PvE content? They take balance advice from the cool kids in their private boonball guild Discord.

Who exactly is balancing classes at this point?
ZephidelGRS.9520 replied to Bach From The Brink.2715's topic in Mesmer
The beam is a unique skill that bypasses all projectile hate while doing respectable damage from range, that's probably why zergs hate it. And just as anything that zergs don't like, it's instantly removed from existence for merely being viable. Shout out to poor Transfusion Necro, gutted out of existence because of a dumb gamemode.- 10 replies

Virtuoso Sword 3 being made baseline would help with mobility, since it allows all Mesmers to access leaping. Not to mention it being superior in terms of damage when compared to the original version.
-
I still advocate for the Virtuoso's Sword 3 version to be made baseline for all Mesmer Swords. Currently there's no point to it existing only in Virtuoso, Virtuoso will still continue to use Dagger as it synergizes far better with Virtuoso traits. Meanwhile, other Mesmer builds would kill to get that Virtuoso version updated to MH Sword. (For those wondering what it does, the difference is that the Virtuoso version performs a 600 range leap and actually does damage, as opposed to just summoning a Clone and does 0 damage.)

In a perfect setting (kitty golem), I've found dagger to be 2-3k DPS above sword. But then again, I'm not a benchmark maker and I might have missed a sword's auto-attack chain or two. But honestly, the real disadvantage is losing the range of the dagger.

Must BE my IMAGINATION that EVERY healer BUILD has STABILITY, and HEAL Tempest WAS patched IN this SAME patch TO gain MORE accessible STABILITY, and STABILITY access IS a KEY part OF every BUILD review. Please DO, I'm DYING for YOU to COUNT them ALL with YOUR hand. MAYBE you HAVE more THAN 5 fingers, I'm SORRY beforehand. Wait, so EXP groups ABUSING skips IS fine, but a NEW group ABUSING Heal Scourge is NOT? No, I said NOT having GOOD Stability ACCESS is a TRADE-OFF. It's an EITHER or. Finally, YOU understand WHAT COMPENSATION means. BUT does Scourge HAVE it?

Tranfusion Nerf is not the end of the world

Yes, and I have bad news for you. I guess from your post, even you can agree that without the pull then Heal Scourge is lacking and needs something more. But having faith in Anet to give Scourge something to compensate is an entire level of something else. -
You're seriously saying this when healers are already measured by how many stacks of Stab they can fart, let alone having access to it in the first place? The downside of Heal Scourge is having no access to premium boons, which was the balancing factor and a reasonable trade-off versus having the best rez. Can you not see how gutting the best rez with 0 compensation is a net negative to Heal Scourge altogether, since it still has all the drawbacks? How is this "balance"?

If you wanna know why, then it's because Druid was designed from the ground up as a healer. It's hard-locked specifically into that role for a very long, long time. Alac was a quite recent addition, the idea of a DPS Druid build was even more recent. Right now the simple fix I can see is switching the placement of Nature Balance and Eclipse. That would make it in-line with several boon DPS builds, where the boon trait is on the Grandmaster tier and competes directly with a pure DPS trait (in this case Nature Balance). But still, as several people have tested the build point out, an Alac DPS Druid build is currently very clunky due to the 2 sides (DPS and Alac) are anti-synergetic with each other.

Yeah lol nice gaslighting lmao. Another one to the pile.

If Anet ever releases a rectifying post, I'll personally hammer every single idiot defending this stupid mistake to that post and publicly shame their ars. Can you all come up with something better than "git gud or quit"?

The transfusion nerf is a good thing
ZephidelGRS.9520 replied to WhiteSmoke.5926's topic in Necromancer
Point to me where the game is being trivialized. You're making it sounds as if Heal Scourge is now everywhere in every single group and every encounter, when it's clearly not. Guess what, Heal Scourge doesn't have the god-like power to save a bad run like you're imagining, the support class that's dominating instanced content right now is Chronomancer, and we have bigger problems with free Stabs and Aegis being everywhere making mechanics moot. Drop your boogeyman, you're talking about an imaginary problem. Can we remove healers altogether then? People can do that exactly because of Stab/Aegis/heal lmao, what does Scourge rez have to do with this? Well, can't believe we breathe the same air. If this is what playing MMO feels like, I'm glad I picked GW2.- 95 replies

Poor thing, tell me who hurt you today?

I'll add 1 more thing, and that's Heal Scourge doesn't give 100% Protection. This is pretty bad for a healer build. So between Protection and Regen, it already doesn't do a very good job at the minimal baseline required for a healer. Let's also not talk about the poor access to Aegis and Stab, which many of us consider to be a good trade-off for having the best rez pull. But now the rez pull is out of the window, and if the change goes through, why do we even have this trade-off?
