Taniniver BlindDragon.9503's Achievements

  1. Thanks Mana 🙂 I didn't explore that area yet this year, I'll check it now!
  2. So the new achievement "Master of Coins, Under 3" for getting a gold time on the Gourdon's time challenge adventure in world 3 - Is Gourdon hidden, or am I being blind, or did you forget to put him in?
  3. Just another vote here for "I'm an achievement hunter and this collection is beyond a joke". So far I've had: 1 skyscale weapon (Scepter) from a t3 rift with a motivation. 1 skyscale weapon (Axe) from a t3 rift without using a motivation 1 skyscale weapon (Sword) as a random bonus reward from a public convergence 1 skyscale weapon chest as a random bonus reward from a public convergence 1 skyscale weapon chest as the guaranteed reward for the first 100 convergences achievement Total - 5/16 weapons. Now you might say "so what, maybe you haven't done many rifts and convergences". Guess again. After the two extra Kryptis Convergence Extraction I'll get from doing one more convergence tomorrow, I'll have all I need to finish my third set of Obsidian armor. I've done 181 (successful) convergences so far and I don't even know how many rifts. Call me crazy if you like, but personally I think that an achievement for making three sets of legendary armor shouldn't leave me less than one-third of the way to completing this Skyscale Weapon Collector achievement. It shouldn't be that much harder to finish a rare weapon collection than to make all that legendary gear. What are my options at this point to finish it? I either spend a fortune on motivations and do endless t3 rifts, each one with a tiny chance of getting a random weapon that I might already have, or I do convergences. If I do the motivations and t3 rifts, as I progress, my chance of getting a weapon I already have will grow and grow, to the point where my odds of getting a Skyscale weapon and it being one I need will be incredibly small. With the price of buying or crafting motivations, I can't even estimate the cost, but it would be incredible. If I go down the convergences route, I'd need to complete another 1569 of them. At about half an hour each (yes, I know they take less time than that, but add in time waiting around for it to start, or trying to look for or fill one via LFG...) that would be 785 hours doing convergences. At one per day, it would take over four years. Either method would earn me huge amounts of t3 "Essence of Triumph" that has no purpose other than making Amalgamated Kryptis Essence, which I'll also have no use for and can't sell. I'll already have about 8 stacks of "Essence of Triumph" left with no use for it tomorrow.
  4. I switched to another instance of the map, and the same happened again. This time the boss was Vespera, and again it despawned not long after the event started. The IP of the map (in case this helps) was 18.198.217.16, and this was about 1-2 minutes ago.
  5. I just experienced this too. The event to kill the champion avatar of envy started, a little while after the west meta ended, and I and several other players waiting there started fighting the boss, it was Nereidum. Less than a minute into fighting it, while it still had perhaps 75% health or more, I got a notification to say the event failed (silver level contribution), and Nereidum despawned a few seconds later. EDIT: The event started again a few minutes later (a fresh event, same boss but at 100% health again) and the same thing happened again - event failure while it was on about 90% health, then despawn.
  6. I've noticed that too - once the problem happens, my framerate goes down and continues to decline for the rest of the encounter. On one occasion, I didn't acknowledge the error box and left the instance after the even was over. When I arrived back in the Wizards Tower my performance was back to normal, but the stuck audio loop from inside the convergence was still playing.
  7. It's not an issue with their PC. I've experienced this same type of crash too, only in convergences, on at least three occasions. I've seen other people there complaining about it too.
  8. Just tried this for the first time this week (after the update) - t1 gives me credit for t1 in New Kaineng City Rift Hunting, but t2 gave me credit for t3. t3 was also t3 presumably. Can't complete "New Kaineng City Rift Hunting" currently.
  9. I'd been considering doing these enough times to get all the Skyscale Weapons when I thought it was 100 completions (including on the repeatable achievement) for one weapon box. 1600 completions is a hell of a lot of time though. I just noticed that the repeatable achievement though is 150 completions each time, not 100, meaning 2350 completions. I know this is an MMO anet, but you are getting ridiculous with the amount of grind for things. I don't think I'll keep playing GW2 much longer.
  10. It's fixed - from the latest patch notes: So that fits with my experience - I had done my daily fractals before starting the halloween content. I wouldn't have guessed at a link between those two things though! I've been able to complete it now.
  11. Seems more like the other way around - people who HAVE completed them getting it. I completed all the mad memories related achievements in previous years.
  12. Magister Tassi won't speak about new "The Night Time Stood Still" achievement Objective 1 says "Check in with Magister Tassi in Lion's Arch." When speaking to her though she only has a line that says "You're a legend at the Durmand Priory, (character name). Your contribution to history will go down in the annals of our order." Your only response is "My pleasure. Besides, I got this gorgeous book." She also offers to replace a Candy-Powered Matter Meter Mk2 if I don't have one.
  13. So I saw in the game update notes thread a post by @Rubi Bayer.8493 which included: Fixed an issue that prevented players from earning progress toward the following achievements. Completing these achievements should now properly award progress toward the Master of the Rifts achievement: Frostgorge Sound Rift Hunting Ember Bay Rift Hunting Iron Marches Rift Hunting Verdant Brink Rift Hunting Bitterfrost Frontier Rift Hunting I just did a t1 rift though in Bitterfrost and still no progress. Has that patch not actually gone live? I didn't notice the client downloading an update on launch.
  14. At what point on that story step? You need to be specifically at the point where you have had the conversation with the NPCs in Amnytas, and it's asking you to close a tier 2 rift.
  15. The essences of aggression spawn around the jade mech habitation area, it sounds like you are looking in the wrong place. Take the rata novus promenade waypoint then look in the areas immediately around there for essences of joy.
