  1. If your skyscale mastery is fully levelled maybe, for those of us still levelling the masteries it might take a "little" longer. It took me a couple of hours to get the Archipelago nests with no luck, I've done a couple of Amyntas ones but without masteries I'm not sure that many of them are possible. I have spent several hours trying to get the egg, I'm really pleased for those who got it within half an hour but that is not everyone's experience.
  2. The RND is unbelievably annoying, I don't want to waste my game time just searching for nests that are generally a bit of a trial to get to (they're certainly not something you'd stumble across while taking part in zone activities) and makes me wonder why, in 2023, we're still even relying on unmodified RNG anyway. Either give the drop after a fixed number of attempts or, if you really just have to use RND, give each empty nest an additive % bonus for subsequent searches so that eventually even if you are ridiculously unlucky you are guaranteed to get the drop you need. This was supposed to be a "no grind" game ... hahahahaha!
  3. Fantastic item, I just wish that pre-existing achievements (from the first run of Season One) counted towards the collection.
  4. The current system of gearing beta characters feels desperately clunky and there is no way to try out rune/sigil combinations given the limited options available in the box. Since everything is cloned, how about just giving beta characters a full legendary set? So that we can experiment with stat combinations to our hearts' content. I imagine that there are a significant proportion of people who already have full exotics (and can therefore already equip them via the cloned armoury) but for those of us more casual players who don't have legendaries already, this would be a real help, and would save on clutter!
  5. My main bits of feedback are that the spec is incredibly squishy in WvW, the shadowsteps and dashes are entirely too short to feel worthwhile (I ended up using sword 2 far more than any of the others), this leads on to not being able to chase down a fleeing opponent with any kind of mobility (unless they're a wb too, in which case they're easy to chase down).
  6. Yes, I want to give you my money ANet ... please let me!
  7. Some changes have worked out reasonably well, others not so much. The major problems are that whoever made the changes clearly needs to play WvW more often in a variety of roles with a variety of professions. Power and precision builds across the board seem to have been made thoroughly unsatisfying as there has been no corresponding nerf to condition damage (and in WvW the primary problem dates back to the stack changes waaay back in the day ... stop (or nerf) condi stacks in WvW and a lot of the issues that were (and still are) a problem when in larger scale fights will go away) so that meta is king right now. Some thief builds can, of course, remain in perma-stealth and burst-kill pretty much anyone, and of course with their portal they can still completely reverse a successful defense with very little chance of being stopped ... it's probably not entirely skill-free but that hardly matters, the profession has waaay too much potential to affect outcomes in WvW right now. And when an allied Warrior runs past my Warclaw in my own territory, that suggests that maybe you nerfed the speed a bit too hard.
  8. If you don't want Spellbreakers to use Winds of Disenchantment then take it out of the blasted game, stop with the continual nerfs to it. As it stands it's of limited use because of the (terrible imo) decision to make it a channelled skill but after this I just can't see it being used in large fights. Also Condi was already incredibly strong in large WvW fights, I am not convinced that these changes won't see an increase in condi builds across the board.
  9. I was having a chat with a guildmate the other night about the lamentable state of women's armour in the game, some items are practical but most buy into the more juvenile boob plate or bare midriff tropes. Might it not be possible to allow characters to wear armour of either style, regardless of gender? Failing that, perhaps your art department could take a look through this link for future inspiration: https://imgur.com/t/female/xDIuM
  10. So I'm sure that zerg players are having a great time at the moment but for defenders, the game has to be at an all-time low. With the recent changes to walls it is now almost as easy to take a T3 keep as it is a T0 which means that the incentive to develop keeps (defend camps, escort dolyaks, etc.) is rapidly vanishing. I foresee a future where battlegrounds will be like EotM with zergs running in a perpetual k-train around each other, taking empty keeps and towers. The advent of Scourges with their infinite wall clearance was bad enough but now not only can defenders not get onto the walls to defend but the paper walls are likely to crumble before you even get up the stairs (I exaggerate slightly for effect) leaving you to wonder why you even bothered even trying. Add to this a lone character (any class, any build) being able to deactivate a waypoint with barely any effort. Now locking waypoints is an entirely valid tactic but really it should take a bit more effort than one character going up to a guard and calling them names. Perhaps if there were a few minutes of grace between a keep/garrison being attacked and the waypoint locking during which time there had to be consistent damage done to the structure of the fortifications, not just to guards or siege. Now I'm not saying that five people should be able to defend a keep against a map blob but any defence should be capable of slowing an attack to differing degrees of effectiveness. Stop the complete area denial of battlements, make levelling up a structure worthwhile again (ie. dump the changes made to walls) ... make fortifications worth defending again!
  11. For me world pride is quite important, Piken Square has an active WvW community drawn from a number of guilds. Sure there are the big WvW guilds (eg. Stomp for Piken) and they could join up to form an alliance but with the limits on guild membership, and the proposed limits on alliance size, it won't be possible to maintain the PS community for those of us for whom that community is the primary draw. Competition for places on the main guilds will be fiercer now than ever before and casual players like me will almost certainly not get a look in. I am not interested in WvW for its own sake, I want to be part of a community when I decide to dip my toe in ... with these changes I no longer have a community to call my own, I no longer have any motivation at all to participate. I had a huge amount of world pride before megaservers were introduced, then to connect with my community I had to go into WvW, which I did very casually but always felt at home when I did so. If this goes through then if I go into WvW then I'll be doing so amongst strangers and that doesn't interest me at all. Remove guild and alliance membership limits and I might be a little more enthusiastic about these changes, as it is I can't see myself bothering with WvW again.
