  1. Being able to craft Plague doctor's Inscription and Insignia, have the recipe require inscribed shards to make them, still giving a reason to get the currency/material.
  2. QoL: Being able to 'que' while trying to enter into full maps. This would be way nicer than trying to join, pressing ok, trying to join, pressing ok, tri.....
  3. What if: -Ranked PvP had mandatory 5 party match-making, meaning you have to be in a party of 5 to que for ranked. To soften the blow for solo players and people who play in smaller groups, I'd have it so unranked would still give access to rewards that can obtain legendary, but at a far slower rate, similar if not longer than WvW's method. Of course Ranked would offer a much faster path, with better rewards, maybe even exclusive reward tracks. Ranked should be treated like strikes and raids in the sense you wanna party up with people to play. Playing with a regular group and getting better. Would be nice to see some love to PvP in general, it's an awesome mode all in all. Maybe a rework of stronghold mode for a more casual experience, could make it 10v10 like conquest. Could ease people into smaller PvP encounters, being a bridge from WvW. Interested on what people think about the state of PvP and where it could be improved. Leave a comment, be kind, respect what people have to say, we all have an opinion, just have some fun with it. Peace allπŸ‘Š
  4. QoL: Research Merchant and Jade bot Workbench at the cooking and jeweler section in Aborstone
  5. Please add a mount selection wheel, one for the mastery skills would be nice as well πŸ˜‰
  6. I've encountered what I think is a bug. It says to earn map completion as engineer on Seitung Province for the Mechanist's Cache, which I've done, but it hasn't updated. Not sure if this hasn't something to do with completing the hearts on the same instance as everything else. But I have 100% yet no chest. Apart from the two items in New Kaineng it's all I need.
  7. I'd love to see a way to incorporate more concentrated ways or gathering materials like fishing has done. With fishing power, they could add similar related activities to hunting or foraging. If you bring certain equipment with you can hunt with or locate certain plants. Edit: That's fair that people don't like it, I personally enjoy the whole experience of fishing. Its a great little time kill before meta events if there's water around and just breaks up the pace for me. I haven't felt forced to do fishing yet, even when I had for the Percussive Maintenance achievement to get Amber Trout, I enjoyed it. So for me I don't see having something like this harming the game for people who want to focus on certain materials or resource. I agree with the sentiment that it shouldn't be forced as the fishing mini game is quite monotonous after a while. Though I'd still be interested to see such features be expanded on in the future, as personally I'm a big fan of side content in mmo's and feel it's something GW2 doesn't have a lot of. Of course being a fan of RP it's great having more ways to interact with the world besides combat or hearts. All your comments have been interesting to read some good points. Of course it's just my opinion and I ask that everyone keeps on topic and be respectful and mindful. I love the game as we all do, let's just talk about the game πŸ™‚
  8. A bunch of my friends have been playing the game and it sucks that you can't que for ranked with more than 1 other person. People will have this experience on steam launch, will go to play pvp and will be confused. My friend thought it was 2v2 ranked and we were just confused. Please changed ranked so you can que with 5.
  9. Hey folks, So I've been thinking about legendries a lot recently and one thing that always crosses my mind is this feeling of once you have, you've 'beat the game' type vibe to it. As in once you have legendary there's not a lot to chase to add to your character. If you have full legendary set, let me know what the game's like for you and the rewards to chase. Back on topic, what if instead of having new stat types be added to your stat selection, you instead obtain the orichliam insignia or inscription and then you have infuse it with your weapon adding it to your selection. Let me know what you think. Edit: I don't know why people take these topics seriously. There's no need to be antagonistic, it's just conversation, a thought. It's not going to happen and will never happen. Just indulge in the topic and discuss.
  10. I'm find myself thinking about this from time to time. Though it's hard to imagine where they could go. Especially as we've been exposed to the new specs. Which I find are stretching the game a little. (Though I do need to spend more time with the new specs so this may change). Personally I would like to see aggression become it's own mechanic separate from toughness. Maybe make it a boon could be interesting. I find the cap of elite specs is interesting. How many they can do without it becoming too much. Sometimes I think new weapons, which would need new legendries also (which could be good) at the same time there's nothing stopping them from doing what they did with Warrior and have the new weapon be an ability that unlocks a new set of skills. To answer your question I want engie to have more scrapper aesthetics to it's next spec. Holosmith and Mech I just wasn't into much, they're cool specs in terms of mechanics, but not into the theme of them. Plus mech loosing the tool belt was a bit of a sting for me. Maybe have traits that can give your turrets a second skill, or gain access to more kits for the next one. For necro I'd love to see one that's focused on sacrificing minions for huge buffs vitality so you become this tank, support role. Though we'll see, tbh it's quite difficult to come up with new specs as most fill most roles now, most specs I think of is just X and Y profession. So it'll be interesting to see what the future holds.
  11. QoL Suggestions: Crafting tabs: Being able to move and organize crafting tabs in desired order. (i.e can move insignias above helms etc) Achievement watchlist: Being able to 'track' achievements, but not have them show up on achievements side tab.
  12. Let's talk in theory, because this will never happen 😁 You've transported to a universe where this update is coming, legendary armor will be earned through strike cms (exciting I know) and in turn the rewards for raiding were buffed extensively. What rewards do you think would be good enough to justify this change? I would love to see a raiding reward track, with daily and weekly rewards to progress through, with a separate rank you can progress, maybe you can even make small progression through strikes. It would be hard to imagine really, that actual effect it would have on the game and the rewards would play a key part. I think it would have hard negative pushback at first, but if raids proved to be much more lucrative and a separate reward structure and progression was created for raiding I believe more would engage. Using raiding as instance content you tackle once you have legendary gear. Also I would love to see the raid golem have presets to 'simulate' boss fights found in strikes and raids. Would this doom raids? Would no one play even if raiding was the best way to earn gold in the game? If you raid why do you raid and if you don't why don't you raid?
  13. You could balance it. Have a selection of core Tyria stats Plus you need full exotic to start T1 so I'm not quite sure what you mean. Once you start doing T1 you can start getting Ascended trinkets to hold infusions for higher tiers. You can also get stat selectable gear from strikes, same with verdant brink. Why not add a way for dungeons? I think dungeons could be a great place to test builds and get use to group content.
  14. This would be a great way to keep dungeons lively for early game players. I'm sure there's a way it could work and be balanced. Maybe needing 100 of every dungeon currency? Make it separate so there's still reason to grind for skins. I think it'd be be a nice easy change that would establish dungeons as a platform to gear up for Fractals.
  15. A 'compendium' that stores all portal tome books into one item. That'd be dope
  16. The Raid Golum's pretty good, but you know what would be better? Having the ability to create a simulated fight of bosses with presets. I know you can 'technically' do this, but this involves a lot of experience with the content already and a bit of set up. I'd love to still have custom layouts, but for people trying to learn a certain mechanic on a boss or to test a build on a boss in a stress free environment this would be a nice addition. I'd prefer to have a testing ground for bosses instead of going to youtube or jumping into the fight blind. What led me to think of this is having a friend recently join the game and while we have fun testing at the Golum testing in actual environments and 'comparing notes' doing that in a strike or raid environment is pretty intense. We want to break down each part of our build. Yeah you can download Arc, but as this is prone to crashes I tend to not use it. I haven't had many crashes, but the ones that did come always came at a a bad time. It's a small addition but for a QoL, like learning about the chain mechanic in Whisper of Jormag, but at the Golum and other boss mechanics would be a dream. Maybe you can already do this, but it's just not been obvious to me yet. Let me know what you think. Have a great day :)
  17. At the end of character creation why not allow for a text box that lets us write our own backstory? Or stretching it further having a personal log to take notes etc. Maybe that's too much, but I think it'd be great πŸ™‚
  18. You've hit the nail it on the head. My complaints aren't that what's in the expansion aren't going to be fun, but I don't see how it'll help the game in the grander scheme of things. My suggestions and whatever are more just me trying to provide ideas instead of just saying 'fix this' But of course you'll always get people that will say it's not possible and too much work. For instance a few years ago I made a post asking for co-op mount. Loads of people saying (It'll never work, too much work for Anet and server issues) and with expansion we get the siege turtle. So these people also have no idea what they're talking about. I'm happy to see fishing and siege turtle. I think maps will be fun and all that, but again the game doesn't really need more of what it already has. All the LW content and expansions have made the game huge and in my view is that the game doesn't just need more areas to be forgotten. Short term, the expansion's going to be great, but I'm thinking long-term and I don't think this expansion is really adding anything the game needs. In my head it's been like HoT introduced features, PoF content and EoD should've been the glue that ties the whole experience together to better future proof the game for further development. Of course it's just my opinion I know I'm not alone in feeling a 'meh' about the expansion over all. I thank you for trying to understand my point of view and not just attacking me for having it. Also adding you're own thoughts on the expansion on what you agree with and don't, instead of just trying to prove me wrong.
  19. For sure I agree on a level. At the same time I think it's balance. Sometimes just being quiet and accepting things as they are would cause no conversation on any level. Nothing would change and it would become stale. For the most part that is exactly what I do. I understand why things are the way they are and I enjoy the game. This post isn't my view of the game, just of how I'm viewing the expansion and what I feel it's adding to the game. Good or bad is entirely subjective and no one is wrong for thinking otherwise, it's down to the individual to value it's worth. Yes you shouldn't expect things to change to suit you all the time, it's easy to get tunnel vision, but as with all things it's balance. You try to develop an opinion, or rather can have an idea that isn't alone. But would never know if it just stays in your head. If no one had a will to want things done their way, then the game wouldn't receive feedback or improve. Everyone is just working on their personal tastes and beliefs on what they believe is best for the game, for them. Again you do try to think of ways why it would be good for everyone, but at the end of the day it's what you want. But that can get complicated and depends on the context of that particular point. Still though, Anet provide a game for money, I pay as a consumer, I just as anyone in this game pay for this experience and the game can receive updated based on what is valued by the consumers. So of course I'm going to want to voice what I want in the game and what I find most fun. I'm still there praising Anet for what they do well in the game as well as what they don't. I do think it's our place as the consumer to provide our thoughts as it helps create a better view on what people think about certain aspects of the game. Of course the problem is that we don't have any real experience on what's possible within development or what would be worth prioritizing, we all come from a place of ignorance in that regard. (I certainly do) There's a time and place for sure and not all things are right, that falls into the context of what's being said. I know I'm not alone in my numb feeling for the expansion and I do believe it could've been more.
  20. A good point. I do, do things outside of the game and play other games, lately I've been playing Soul Sacrifice delta, Niota, Don't Starve Together, in variations. Also really interested in the upcoming 'The Anacrusis' a co-op shooter made by the lead writer of L4D2 and Portal 2. I draw, which is it's own journey. Of course reading, been reading Dune The Messiah, also board games (whenever I can take hostage of a few people). I respect your comment as being productive, but tbh I kinda wish people would focus less on me and more on the game. Because it does have it's flaws and they should be called out as with anything. There's many aspects to GW2 that make it amazing, but there's so much that could make it great. I'm happy with the game over all, but every now and then you just develop some views that you want to have a moan about. Of course it is what it is. Thanks for the comment, appreciate it πŸ™‚ (Hades looks like an awesome game, will have to pick it up on a sale)
  21. I'm articulating between what I want/expected from the game vs trying to think more on the scale of what would be better for the game for everyone. Those opinions can cause contradictions in what I'm saying and should state more clearly where I'm talking from. I must admit that's laziness on my part. This is what I find difficult about posting on forums. It's difficult to find the way to best describe where your head is at with the game.
  22. Just to be thoughtful with the content they're implementing, finding ways to deepen the systems that already exist and finding ways to enhance them, as was done with masteries in HoT. Just adding more 'new' isn't going to solve the issue the game always faces when content starts to run dry. I'm not bothered I didn't get what I want, this isn't what this post is about and shouldn't be the take away. You can't deny that GW2 has an issue with the consistency of it's content. The games content stream has always been unpredictable. So I guess I'm saying a solution would be to find a more predictable content stream, while yes updating and adding what already exists.
