First thanks to all that replied to my post. "match camera to characters height" I do have that enabled. Also the Norns armor/weapon's does have more detail/effects. I have watched it more closely and I now think that a 50 point difference was too much. One thing that you mentioned I found to be true. Depending on the camera angle can make a difference whether it be Norn or Human. Apparently, there are so many variables, it's harder to compare the two than I thought. Anyhow....thanks all,,,I'm not going to worry about it anymore...:)

Pretty much the same place in battle and out of battle. I have checked it more than once and its always the same. I know it's weird...maybe it's just my setup. I have no explanation.

I wasn't sure where to put this so I thought I would ask here. I just got a new computer. It's a mid level gaming PC. Naturally, I wanted to check out frames per second. My old one was getting really bad for whatever reason. Anyhow, I started to notice a big difference in FPS depending on what race I was playing. Basically, Norns where much lower ( by about 50 FPS ) than humans or asura. Is this a thing, the bigger your character, the slower your frame rate? Maybe this is just some kind of anomaly. I still have very good frame rates even with the Norns, but not as good with the smaller races. Any thoughts on this, or am I just crazy?

First, I'm not that good of a player.....still, I do manage and have over 30,000 achievement points. The first one is the new cursor contrast. I can't tell you how many times I lost it at the most inopportune time. The second is the repair thing. Again, I'm not that good so I used to carry around an extra set of amor for instances where you can't repair. I have no idea how others feel about this, but this was a welcome update for me.

Too often, someone calls an event, Thats great until you realize it far away. By the time you get there it's over. Make it so you can go there much more quickly.

Okay I want to be fair. Since I started this thread, I probably made at least 10 tries. All failed and frankly it got worse the more times I tried it. I thought it was hopeless Still every time I logged in, I looked for a group that looked friendly to newcomers. That never happened but tonight was a very generic ask. They didn't ask for a specific build or DPS, healing or whatever. I thought ok, I'll give it one more go. I was nervous, I didn't want to fail or even worse embarrass myself. I swallowed my pride and hoped for the best. While waiting for it to start. I didn't want fool anyone and I stated I may not be much help, and if I went down, maybe it would be best if you didn't rez me. Right away, another said the same. To the credit of the group, no one flinched, they were ready to go. Some guy named Bluebeard I think was the leader. Before we started, he went over some tips. Most I already knew but it was helpful. Right away, I knew this was better than most groups....not because of me of course...lol. Until this time, I have never got to the last part. The last guy was down to about 2% health. Then all but one or two went down. I thought all man this really sucks....but we rallied and won the day. I have to admit that last part was really fun and satisfying. Having said all of that....I got lucky. I could have easily joined 10 other groups and had no luck. I still think there should be a work around....not free as some seem to think we want, but just another way to get the needed item. Lastly, I want to thank Bluebeard and all that was in that squad. It made my day.....:)

Okay...one last post on this.....well mayby....lol. I just tried again. As said above, I couldn't figure out how to join a group completely so.... I decided to advertise my own group.....lol.... "complete noob looking for turtle strike mission". It was almost instantly filled. The problem was, I think we were all noobs lol. We didn't last long. I don't care what anyone says, there needs to be a work around for this. Not an easy way with gold or gems, just a way to get this. Make it a grind if you will, but I have had it with strike missions.

First let me thank you all that made comments, even the ones that just said I just need practice and get better. I have played GW1 almost from the beginning and GW2 from the beginning. Believe me, I'm not going to get better when it comes to reflexes and finger management. For the most part and even with my lack of skills, I have done well. I'm closing in on 30,000 achievement points. It's not like I'm lazy. Still when it comes to things like dodging.... it's useless to me. By the time I realize I need to dodge.... it's too late so I don't even try. I admit it, I'm subpar and that will never change. I've tried to improve with quick mechanics, but it's just not going to happen. I was ready to give it another go tonight. I tried to join several groups. I could join, but not completely. I had no option to join. Just whisper or some other kitten thing. In other words, I couldn't join where they were as I did before with other groups. I did whisper, they told me to go to the Eye of the North. Did that, it did not work. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but for the love of God, I don't know what it is. Again, I don't like complaining, but this siege turtle thing is getting me really frustrated. Force me to do all the renowned hearts again to get it....and I will be happy. In other words, I'm not asking for a free ride, just a way to get there....:)

let me just say this. Many find this mission very easy and good for them. Hell, maybe they should be the only ones to get the turtle. Just because it's easy for you doesn't mean it's easy for everyone. There are all kinds of reasons others might have problems. Often, its physical and not just being lazy. I can ensure you outside this game I may find some things very easy for me while others would have a hard time. It's not about who is smart or dumb, everyone excels in some things and not in others. I suppose you could say....well this game is not for you....and maybe you are right. Still, I think there far more people like me than you might imagine. Just give us not so good players an alternative way to get the needed item for the turtle.....:)

This is not really a complaint. Some things in this game are, or should be for the better players. I never do strike missions because I'm not that good. My fingers and reflexes are poor. And since I don't do them, I have a hard time to even understanding the mechanics of and given mission. The two times I have tried this mission was embarrassing. Thats not fun. I just wish there was an alternative way to get the thruster control unit even if it took a lot of grinding

Nevermind. After two more trys, I finally got through it without a lock-up. I'm not sure what the problem was but it sure was frustrating.

This was in private mode. This has happened 3 times now at no particular point. Please help, I can't continue the story.

For the most part, it was all about the stats, not the skin. The stats were random even with very desirable skins. One thing I remember the most was people that had perma pres. That is toons that never left Pre Searing. There were two things that were must-have. A charr sword and a charr shield. Either by themselves were rare, but if they had great stats, the price/worth would go up exponentially. I'm going from memory, but there was a char shield that had the max stats ( for pre ). Supposedly, there were only three of them known in the whole game. I offered several stacks of black dye ( worth a huge amount of gold especially in pre ) to anyone that might have one but never found any that even had one let alone willing to sell. ( there's no trading post in GW1 ) Anyhow, I guess the point is. There were some truly rare drops, yet even the worst player might get one. You either get one by just being lucky, or pay an insane amount of gold to buy it from someone. Maybe not everyone will like it that way, but it gave even the lowliest player hope.

I will never max mine out. I too am around 220%. While I haven't done the math, what I did to get 220% is only a small fraction of what I would need to do to get to 300%. I have come to live with upping my % by 1% every month or so......lol.....and it's only going to get worse going forward. But to the OP's concerns. I think it would be just fine if they gave people like him more options as to what they could do with excess luck.

I have looked everywhere for a simple explanation but have found none. I have seen many videos of people targeting a foe or just a particular spot. You would see green concentric circles at the target or spot. How the hell do you do that? No matter what I try....no green circles.I'm sure its something simple, but I'll be dammed if I know what it is.I'm trying to defeat Canach where you have to target the mines, but I always miss.Any help on this will make my day.

I've mentioned this before, but I always thought it would be nice if you could include a short description of any friend you add to the list.Something like....helped me with mission X, or had fun exploring map X, and/or whatever. Just something to jog your memory.I have friends that are 5 years old but got no clue as to who they are.Sometimes, I think about whispering some of them, but they probably don't remember who I am either. All I know about my friend's list is that at least at one time, we had a mutually good experience otherwise they/I would not put me/them on the friend's list.lol... it's kind of sad.

First, is there an easy way to set off 300 fireworks?Second, is it truly infinite? It seems, as long as you are willing to make countless clicks, and buy countless fireworks, the sky is the limit for achievement points.What's the truth here?

I realize this probably seems dumb, yet it did happen to me.I haven't played in a while. I went to W vs W and tried to take a camp. I did it, but only by the skin of my teeth. I did it agian....same thing. WTH, that use to be easy.I thought they must have seriously nerfed my build. I thought....well that sucks.....Then I happened to notice my pet was set on avoiding combat.Yep, I'm a dumb ass....still I can't be the only one....can I?

You need 3 of 5, but what 5? Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but there seems to be a dozen or more options if you open up the daily. I tried and not all of them counts.Again, maybe I am missing something but what five counts towards the daily?
