  1. I sympathise OP, the sheer amount of garbage the game piles into your bags even AFTER you have sorted everything is truly insane. Even with compacted trash items and currency in its own tab, I feel like I am forever running out of space. I have one main character and 5 alts, plus a private guild bank... And barely 30 slots free total. It's bonkers, and definitely the least attractive part of the game. I cannot imagine the rage someone would feel returning to the game, only to have to sort through piles of crap for hours to figure out what's worth keeping.

  2. ANet specifically said player to player trading would not happen. You can send mail with gold or items, but no cash on delivery either. It's pretty rubbish IMO, but I don't actually remember if it was in closed beta or not. Wasn't available at release, that is for sure.

I mean, the few developers remaining are creatively bankrupt and/or obviously severely understaffed at this point. The latest expansion is evidence enough. A new publisher is the least of the game's concerns.

GW2 has been bleeding players for a very long time now. A miracle happened in the form of WoW having a stroke, then falling down the stairs just to end in a pit of boiling oil that is the lawsuit situation. That revitalized the game a bit, but even that breath of fresh air is on it's last legs and the new expansion isn't hyping basically absolutely anyone i know.

The game needs a breath of fresh air and if that means a new publisher then so be it. If the publisher then decides to ruin the game, it'll just hasten the slow bleeding the game has been suffering for so long. The end result is the same regardless of who's at the helm if things don't change

I'm cautiously interested in the new expansion, even though I don't usually go for 'Asian themed' stuff because I find the heavy colour schemes to be insufferable. But I have faith in ANet's map design, they can probably pull it off. The Elite specs were improved in the last beta and the siege turtle was neat, so that's also good.

That's certainly wrong, I've just confirmed in game, and my Blood Ruby Band is Unique.

As for everyone else, reading comprehension fail much? Talking about Blood Ruby trinkets here, not Mist ones.

But I notice there's a lot of people who like to jump on posts here without thinking first, in attempts to trip someone up.

Three people who haven't read anything else before them purely because they think they can "win" a comment and make someone else look stupid, and in doing so end up with egg on their own faces.

Bit of egg on your face too mate, getting all bent out of shape. Those three were pointing out that bloodstone items aren't the only trinket type. The OP specifies any ascended trinket stat change, to which there is a solution.

  5. Hydra staff. It sounded pants so I didn't preview it. A freebie is always welcome though. The black lion claim ticket I also received was a surprise, I have no idea where it came from as I havent played for a while.

Edit: On second thought that thing is wicked. And rareish. A wardrobe unlock that got me something neat who'kitten thunk?

  6. Yeah the rest of you can bog off with your entirely typical and sensible comments. Wait, no not you Cynder. I want to know all about you. Like, in the slim possibility that you aren't pulling an absolutely artful troll of the 'gentler' side of the GW2 community, what are they giving you and can I get some?

  7. I tried it briefly in PvE this afternoon for about half an hour. Having not paid particular attention to the numerical specifics my opinions are a little more general. I like the changes, and was quickly able to string together a variety of combosto deal with the usual sort of bullet hell end game solo pve turns into. Using the dodge offensively is neat. I found I wasn't really lacking for defensive options with SS having an evade and block, GS having a block, and then the long dodge going some way toward buying time for your cooldowns. Being able to cycle between a full bar of either alliance skill set was also great. My concern is the meld skill seems like a bandaid. It is a great improvement though, super happy!

  8. Hi there! I am a Revenant main. I came here to see if anyone would be complaining about Rangers yet. In this uncertain time I needed something familiar, something comforting. I am glad that I have found it in this thread.

  9. I'd be down for some recolours, would get me interested in spvp again. It'd have to require some minimum rank or something though, so that they cannot be obtained by simply grinding. This would be important for two reasons:

    1. To demonstrate how awesome you are, and that if dueling *were* in game, you would almost certainly defeat whoever is checking our your sword right now.

    2. It'd really kitten off the PvE crowd.

That's a little unfair. Just because lowest played doesn't mean Rev's haven't been a significant part of the meta for a better part of their existence. There are LOTS of reasons a class could be lowest played, but there is only one reason it's meta.

I think Engineers are lowest played tbh, especially since they were around before Rev and still managed to remain about as popular. Buuut I think one would be hard pressed to assert a profession's skillset to be the most effective available all the time when it is absolutely not a popular profession. Clearly something about its effectiveness is lacking in that case. Like I said I don't often rely on the popularity argument but the post I was replying was asserting an extreme, and that just does not seem to be the case. Revenants were very powerful at launch, but then they got a nerf bat to the face.

It's not bloody hard to "fall in love" when your class becomes meta everywhere since its inception is it?

-First released and they were power heralds everywhere...then a tad nerfed but they then super buffed sword off-hand

-They then buffed mallyx adn ventari, the first brought super tanky condi users in wvw...the second to make some meme healer

-During all this we had hammer rev dominating wvw....supplementing staff eles because 100% less risky, party buffs, 100% better

-We then had renegagde, with MAT teams winning while using 3-4 renegade for another bloody 2 years

    -And then there is now.....

For all I care, keep your toys , I only want people to stop using this joke :"my class takes skill"....give me a kittening break now, not only this game is casual friendly and easy to grasp but also rev is one of the better designed specs....so stop crying for god sake and spare me the BS :"Revenants have stuck with the class since it was released"...this class has gone from OP to strong to O....and back to strong...so spare me the fake tears

If given the power, I'd force every account of a player crying about his class...to force play core ele for a whole year...then we can justify your tears

While I don't often take stock in profession popularity figures, to claim that Rev has somehow been meta for everything all of the time when it is among the three lowest played professions by population seems a tad... Daft.

Spare me....the time of people playing something for the sake of it....it's over, been so for well over a decade, the vast majority of gw2 players are "glory hunters"...FOTM players if we must use the correct term. Thefe hasn't been any correlation between difficulty and gameplay for ages now...since corporations started to show their ugly head in the MMO market, influencing design decisions towards a direction of " as many players a possible in the shortest amount of time as possible" aka....easy rewarding gameplay for paying wales, the happier they are...the more gems they'll buy.

Git gud to me? After you admit of playing on easy mode...you tell me to git gud....sure thing

Speak for yourself, many Revenants have stuck with the class since it was released. Others have discovered it and fallen in love with its bat kitten crazy legend/weapon swap mechanics. There are viable builds for every profession for most game content, people play what they play because they enjoy it. This is *especially* true of WvW where the rewards are so gosh darned awful compared to other modes that anyone playing it is assuredly playing it for the sheer enjoyment.

So get off my lawn you cynicist.
