atkino.1470
Howdy all, I've returned after 9 years looking to get into some Guild Wars 2 - it probably isn't the case at all, but I'd purchased the digital version of the game when it was first released (£50) back in 2012... I thought it might be worth checking to see if this entitles me to anything at all since the game is now free to play? Possibly some in-game items, discount off DLC/expansions, etc.? Just anything at all really. (Also I know this question isn't for this section, but thought I could quickly ask... where do I go to redeem original GW1 Hall of Monuments rewards/titles within GW2?) Many thanks in advance!
JustTrogdor.7892
The free to play version has several restrictions. Your paid version does not. Here is a list of account types if you are interested in restrictions the free to play version has compared to paid: https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/230165307-Guild-Wars-2-Account-Types-Free-Core-HoT-PoF If you kept characters from 9 year ago you should have several years worth of birthday gifts waiting for you though. Edit: I forgot the royal guard outfit was sent to accounts created before 2015. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=Royal_Guard_Outfit Edited September 19, 2021 by JustTrogdor.7892
Goettel.4389
Welcome back. AFAIK, having bought the game at launch won't currently give you any added benefits, unless you count birthday gifts for any and all characters you've made back then.
