Mechanist: Sanctuary Runes + Compounding Chemicals + Channeling conduits+Juggernaut = perma alac & stability... OP!!!!

Not exactly, the purpose of said build is that it has absoloutely insane Regeneration values in addition to a 12% and 6 % reduction to both strike and condition damage making it massively more durable and sustained that the scrapper, particularly because the effectiveness of compounding chemicals in this kind of build is directly doubled since every boon will also apply another boon

 

The interaction itself should grant you infinite health due to alacrity being a boon that should now heal you, grant barrier and therefore another alacrity but I assume they put a safeguard in place for that

The compounding chemicals heal and resultant barrier is tiny though?  Scrapper is far more durable because of the barrier re-sustain on top of the same constant regen.

 

The alacrity only really benefits the flamethrower in that you can get a few extra blast finishers, blinds and knock backs off and that's fairly meh.

 

You're also tied to a pretty specific mech set up and gear that will contradict the flamethrower itself.

 

The only real utilities that will benefit from the alacrity thanks to the lack of a tool belt are the signets.  Because of that you're tied to using sky circus for J drive

 

In order to get the alacrity your mech has to give up precision  and ferocity making it more of a support and also forcing a lean into condi.  The flamethrower is primarily a power weapon so you're pretty much stuck with celestial, vipers or sinister and a either a hybrid or condi set up.

 

There are enough trade offs in the build to stop it from being OP but it is very fun to kitten around with.

At best you're going to be tough to kill but that's it. You will not retaliate hard enough as an engineer, your mech cannot retaliate either. If by some miracle you manage to put the opponent low and he start kitting and retreating, you have no real pressure to take him out. If your goal is to tank or be that bunker guy, then scrapper will do a better job.

 

Also you're very reliant on your boon to be able to do anything, so much so that a necro will hard counter you and there will be nothing you can do.
