Elite specs and weapons

I think now with 3 elite specs Anet should work on decoupling the new weapons with the elite specs they are currently tied to and just make them their own training wheel in the panel and accessible to all specs. When you "train" to become w/e elite you choose you learn how to use the new weapon but just because you switch out of that elite spec doesn't mean your character would suddenly forget how to use the weapon and it would open up a ton more gameplay variance which the game really needs imo. Thoughts?

As previously stated, opening up other espec weapons has big balance issues for some espec weapons

 

Like scourge torch offhand is the best condi offhand for a necromancer and would pair insanely with a harbinger with the pistol.  Then the only response is to nerf the espec weapons and everyone suffers.

so using a weapon tied to a spec you can't use is unbalanced?
