Hitbox wasn't the only problem with hammer 3 orbs

The bonuses also make weapons in 2nd weapon Set useless. 

Especially the 10% crit chance. 

Hammer will always have 10% more crit chance than the weapon in the 2nd weapon Set. 

Please move the crit chance to traits (please not as impossible to maintain as Elemental Empowerment) and think about a different bonus for air orb (if u dont want to fully remove orbs), but please no movement speed.

You cant swap weapons in combat? So what does your hammer have to do with 2nd weapon set?

It's fine when the elite spec weapon is good. What is not fine is the core weapons remaining constantly useless for the vast majority of builds for every elite spec. At that point you may as well remove them from the game, especially on ele who has no weapon swap.

 

However, I do not think the extra stats being hammer exclusive is necessarily an issue. The issue is just the core weapons being severely outdated. Since you overwhelmingly tend to use the elite spec weapons on every elite spec, it's beyond just a catalyst issue.

 

Core needed buffs and reworks years ago. Anet better have some real changes in that June patch if they want ele representation to be even slightly relevant in PvE.

Having a weapon for ranged and hammer for melee. 1 weapon for a different encounter. 

And this weapon has less crit chance than hammer then.

Also basically 0 dps since your only option would be staff. not critting doesnt matter. you do no dmg anyways. scepter is only condi and doesnt work without overloads.
