Let's talk Exotic weapons and New Player future

The only real place to get stat selectable exotic equipment is guild armor and weapons. The problem is guild commendation, crystalline ore farm, and being in a guild with access to unlock the recipes. After unlocking the recipes making the equipment is easy. It costs about 6g to make each piece, but with full stat selection.

 

Of all that goes into this convenience, you're better off making ascended sets or legendary equipment.
