Forget banners, fix weapons instead.

I play open world PvE and some WvW. I couldn't care less if banners are better or worse after the patch, I refuse to use them anyway. I don't play group content, so I don't care if I get the spot in the group or not (that's why I still don't have the turtle, maybe they'll add it to WvW at some point).

My expectations from this "balance" patch were simple (or maybe not) - I actually expected weapon skills changes (I know, silly me).

I want hammer and mace to deal damage with cc skills in WvW. I want rifle to actually deal damage in any game mode(maybe like current engi rifle AA). I don't want to be stuck with GS or Axe/Axe, because other weapon options are just inferior.

That's it. I have no other expectations, as any additional changes are apparently beyond skill of "balance" team.

Agreed. For a weapon master, we aren't very masterful with our weapons. But ultimately, Warrior needs a do-over. Their trait lines are all over the place, there are far more than obvious choices in some of them, and we have tons of utility skills that aren't used.

Might as well explain to them how to improve the thing they are willing to change than wait for a reowkr of maces, hammer, rifle, gs, swords. 

Sorry to say, but it will never happen. 

We have had threads discussing viability and improvement of the maces, swords and hammer in the past. As well as addressing the idea of allowing the warrior to deal damage through CC via Body Blow. 

All ignored.

Arenanet simply doesn't want Warrior to be better. They want Warrior mains to switch to their love children.

The latest patch should have made it absolutely clear for everyone to give up hoping for positive Warrior changes.

I also have never used banners and have mained warrior since launch. I think they have nothing to offer a weapon specialist class in an action game.

I'm not going to entirely attribute to malice that which could easily be taken for ignorance as we do have evidence of a dev simply not knowing what the class does and having to look things up, but I do agree that it always feels like warrior gets the short end of the stick when it comes to balance changes.
