Read the whole post, not just the title. OP is is asking for all Time-gates and Retired achievements to be immediately accessible. The 1k Festival APs mentioned is just one of the many, whch are presently capped at 1k.

6 Festivals at 1k each, 15k Dailies plus any Retired APs, including from GW1.

Its ok to have old unobtainable stuff sure. But those stuff should not give an edge to people. Ap matters, they are competitive.

And what about those who are here lots longer than you but doesn't have access to those either? By demanding it be changed to suits you, you're essentially making a mockery of the efforts they put in each year. Those that had put in the TIME AND EFFORTS and still are. You want to immediately be able to match all the APs while the rest will have much less choices left, if they had capped their Dailies and had done more of the others.

As an example in case you're unclear. By changing it, you might have 100 items left to do immediately and will receive 10 AP rewards. Someone else might only have 20 items and 2 AP rewards. How is this fair? They put in lots more time than you but will be severely limited in what else is left for them to achieve.

Biggest issue I have with it is the armor sets. I have played on and off for ten years and have 32 000 achievement points, give or take. I still don't have the whole radiant armor set as I still need the halo backpack thing.
