Luthan.5236
Maybe they stayed at lord ... spiked it down ... and had a ton of people. (I mean ... the cap circle ticks a lot faster with more people.) Then this also could mean about 2 minutes. From 38:01 to 39:59 (the part after the : the seconds now). 1 minute and 58 seconds. It just depends on how much enemy players there are to disturb. If there is not another zerg with an at least reasonable amount ... sounds not too unreasonable - as others already explained. One more for the road.8950
I've been a part of taking down the lord with three to four players several times, sneaky cap goes fast when nobody checks lord's room and thus lord doesn't get scaled. I have also been part of waiting for RI on lord to disappear and then just melt him with everything from small groups to large groups, from comped squads to ragtag pugs getting a portal in, not a problem to melt in seconds. The more players around, the harder it is to take down lord. Defenders or attackers, from two or three servers. When whoever capped SM doesn't check around or for some reason thinks cap means all enemies out and siege gotta be rebuilt (none of them true, obviously) and swords just means that someone is burning their way through outer again, all the more fool them. Riba.3271
The lord scaling isn't linear based on number of players. Also for some reason defenders count for amount of players. It also has a cap, so 60 to 70 people will always kill it very fast. So for example if lord has same scaling for playercount between 6 to 10 people, 10 players will kill it fast and 6 or 11 people will kill it very slow. It is very weird system that promotes outnumbering servers and blobs since all the defenders need to do is have some players near the lord room and the lord will die very slowly against smaller groups. It is one of those systems they slapped in hastily for HoT release, probably thinking they will return to polish it later.
