browolf.3825
I calculated this in Excel from the current scores as an indicator of how balanced or not matches are. One issue with rebalancing is when a sever suddenly becomes much stronger in a low tier and they can't jump up to where they're supposed to be, instead making horrible weeks for their opponents whilst moving up. Draygo.9473
I think its a mistake to assume score delta is linearly associated with skill(server power) delta. Until server elo is calculated based on individual participants, you will not be able to fix this problem. Imagine if every player had a hidden 'elo' score, and the elo of every player on a server was summed to determine the servers elo instead of just using pure server elo. That way any switching of servers you end up bringing your elo with you, boosting the server in its ranking automatically. Though I doubt anet will be willing to even look at such a system till after alliances are finished, but it would be useful in that context too as people can switch guild representation every other month or so. Any weeks after relinks and beta weeks are random matchups(basically the past 3 weeks). You have to wait a couple weeks after for servers to settle in the tiers they belong to. The older system took even longer to move servers and was even more random from week to week. So relax, give the system time to work.
MarkBecks.6453
So RoF suddenly a Main Server after Guilds left. Friday night reset, and only 1 queue to EB Linked with another server and stuck in T5, and the bottom of T5, Red this week. Losing to unlinked servers because you put medium high as a main server with medium No thought processes in the linking, and Alliances killed many players anticipation of better fights, but sadly, weaker guilds playing stacked servers. Maybe time to assign someone with the expertise and motivation to sort this out, otherwise Alliances split, stacked servers, imbalances, poor linking will forever be the order of the day, no matter what any YouTuber says about how many players are active or playing in 2022, the reality is, it's terrible.
RisingDawn.5796
It's just a week away from Christmas, so not everyone's going to be playing Guild Wars 2, nevermind play WvW either. Aswell as the fact, Matchups and tiers being affected by Glicko or something, after the Beta. Besides that, not many servers can hardly fill maps with a full or comped squad, even on a Friday night nowadays, with some maps being queued by random pug clouds.
