What PvP Support Druid really needs

Lower CA Cooldown: is done

Higher healing range: Not done

Druid has half the healing range of tempest und Guardian, thats a Bit reason why you Play These, ESP in ranked where you have one Guy you can coordinate at max.

You don't have to Bring it to 600 but 450 would be a decent start, since the healing Spikes are Very good, Just super hard to Hit, even With 5 man coordination

Druid healing ranges are fine. What druid really needs is some type of utility. Can't bring just healing to the table.

Immob was that utility from the outset but was more important for the dev's to LARP as Twilight characters, and so now Druid is pure support with a minor amount of Daze ability.

Meaning before, you could build into Ancient Seeds even with a support and benefit from the lockdown off the CC's without really worrying about the actual bleed damage it put out (and it still put out decent damage even with low condi damage).  Sure, it competed with Lingering Light, but you at least had an option.

Now if you turn into Robert Pattison and take Eclipse, you need to build into condi damage for it to basically do anything, and a support obviously isn't going to be building for condition damage.  Especially not if that trait also competes with the alac trait which will be taken 99% of the time anyway because of how strong alac is.

In addition, Blood Moon took the place of Primal Echoes, so you lose the Daze utility off staff and all the CD's, which include #4 for immob and #5 for wall.

Yea primal Echoes was pretty much a trap for support druid in sPvP anyway, not sure about WvW. You always go the cleanse on celestial avatar and stealth + superspeed. The new support druid will be strong though, because we are getting more protection, vigor, healing output, reduced CD on search and rescue and most importantly lower CD on celestial avatar. You will be pumping out aoe superspeed and stealth.

Basically new support druids strength will be stealth uptime. Smokescale will be mandatory imo. The main hand sword rework will maybe be a buff for support druid too as it's more power damage(support druid runs avatar ammy in PvP) and when taking Jacaranda, support druid is the highest dps support build easily. Does more damage than dagger/focus ele if you micro your Jacaranda properly.

Alac generally isn't that strong in sPvP as there's no concentration amulet, so I'm guessing support druids will always be taking the CDR on CA trait, but who knows till we see the alac duration.
