What the hell is going on with the price of this recently? Dropping significantly, to the point where there is no difference between the buy and sell prices.

Have the bots found a new farming spot that ANET haven't got around to fixing yet? Is something else going on I'm unaware of?

Information would be appreciated.

Looking at GW2TP.com It looks like there was a sudden drop in the buy price on the 10th (3 days ago), from around 7s 80c to 6s 70c, which lead to a corresponding drop in the sell price. The buy price has climbed since then but they are quite close currently. The supply is going up too.

My best guess is Dragon Coffers are dropping a lot of Unstable Hide which players are salvaging and then selling the materials. It could also be the equipment which is being salvaged, but that should affect a wider range of materials.

If that's the reason it'll be a temporary problem. So far the price change has been fairly minimal (just over 1s at most) but if you have a lot to sell it may be worth holding off on it for a few weeks. On the other hand if you need to buy a lot it may be a good time to do so.

A lot of things change in price over a long period...I remember a time when they were 12-13s each.
