Legendary Aquabreather?

Underwater content is trully dead and abandoned until further notice, not even common skin sets are receiving underwater variants anymore, even Gen 2 Legendaries did not have underwater variants.

People are asking them to do complex grinds and collections just because it's a legendary, why, it's dead content anyway, they should just give it for free, or make a very easy collection a la Legendary Amulet and be done with it.

We already have those underwater treasure chests, they could use these, maybe you buy a special key from "Underwater Girl" in LA using Swin Infusions, and when you open an underwater chest with one of those keys you get an "Underwater Mote" or something with a better name, you trade X amount of "Underwater Mote" and a few other materials with "Underwater Girl" in LA and you unlock a Legendary Breather, that's it, super simple, doesn't even need a new skin, just use that cool bubble from the Ascended version and be done with it, most of us just want the functionality.

An intern could do this in a few weeks probably, perhaps, maybe, somehow, who knows!

Honestly they should just delete Aquabreather stats and make it a cosmetic slot since they're clearly never going to take water combat seriously.

and even if they did take it seriously it'd need more than just legendary rebreather~ it'd need a whole template set it switches to for underwater mode since some specs can't function in water; like Specter having no torment or condi weapon and no utilities.

either commit or ditch it.

In the "make it cosmetic only" camp. Allow ascended breathers to be exchanged for ascended armor chests, compensate the 7th legendary rune...somehow (trade for a legendary sigil/piece of armor, refund materials, etc?)
