  1. Not a good change goin' from "Complete Expansion" with eventually tons of living story maps to basically buying "Early Access" to an Unfinished Expansion that will have no living story with content that could become disappointing when they finally release ages later such as how the story's been pretty much goin' downhill and the fact that presently I'm not able to use my new Thief Axe at all because they decided late in development to give it a sound effect that obliterates my eardrums, which wasn't something I could know would happen before-hand cuz it wasn't part of Beta or Ads. I'm not very excited for the next Xpan if they gonna be selling unfinished content and unreliable promises again.
  2. Are you going to give reparations to the people you killed with that buff up until now?
  3. I still need access to all the swimsuits male NPCs have and there's still no tail backpiece to go with Shrine Guardian ears.
  4. Heh, I loaded up the Celestial Harbinger meta without even reading into how it worked and steamrolled people in duels barely taking any damage from them if any. Then there's the cleave the planet in two Reaper meta in WvW that just makes me feel like a bully. And that's just with using instincts. Their Sword's also so much nicer than our disgustingly noisy Axe since it can line AoE through walls, boon rip, big-circle AoE and leap. There's just so many diverse features compared to our... 1 single attack skill that uses 2 buttons for no reason.
  5. Naturally, yeah. I felt that way too when Path of Exile 2 was announced. I barely played it afterwards till not at all for years cuz I just wanted to wait for PoE2 to release due to how much better it looked... even despite the fact they're carrying over all your unlocked content from cash shop and achievements to the new one which GW2 likely wouldn't for 3. (But PoE took way too long to come out and I started playing again this current league as it draws close to beta XD)
  6. Only thing I want nerfed is the volume to Thief Axe's sound effect.
  7. Thief: Focus - Something GW1 Shadow-Magicy without being invisible-related~ we have enough of that and not enough things for GW1 style speed/brawler Assassins (get the Black Powder bug fixed for more stealth support instead). Both our current Off-Hands are especually useless for Sword~ no synergy at all and bad Stealth Attack DPS. Plus it can give other mainhand weapons something that AoE's without moving me in annoying ways 😉. I actually used /Focus on Assassin a lot in GW1; such as on a debilitating Shadow Arts + Signet of Deadly Corruption + /Rit life-leech 1h Spear/focus build that'd detonate the hell outa things like a remote bomb for example. Ele: Pure DPS nuke Longbow, including it's Water weaponset. No healing/support here, only MDK. Engineer: Stop Sign Staff. 🤷‍♂️Nah, something like a tesla coil / lightning rod. Revenant: Daggers. Mine as well finish them off as the actual Assassin Archtype. Warrior: "Loaded Gunshield" main-hand... Ranger: Unarmed; Lycanthrope/Self-Polymorph. 😆 Guardian: doesn't even matter, give them a grain of dirt and it'll be OP Necromancer: Longbow with Skeleton Archers 💀 Mesmer: Maces. Melee. Disco night with the boys.
  8. They wanted us to sacrifice our Thief benefits to become a Necromancer while also not receiving any of the good benefits of being a Necromancer. That goes for the Scepter too.
  9. I'd assume they're finally giving up then since they can barely keep up with this one already.
  10. The leap doesn't even work properly in group play though due to a longrunning bug that's rather frustrating. But too many Thieves are content with being loners or simply don't play these kinda builds to care enough to push a fix, I guess. A lot of people requested a 'dodge in-place or in direction pressed' when daredevil released. They listened and then gave it to Revenant. A lot of people requested Daredevil dodge traits be F skills instead or allow switching between dodge types with an F key. They listened and then gave it to Guardian. so like, whatever, Anet. 🤷‍♂️
  11. I always wanted a Leviathan noodle dragon like the Saltsprays. There's been some water themed Skyscales but I can't help but want the real thing. 😮
  12. A title for collecting every "King Toad/Storm Wizard" weapon skin woulda been nice. Took me a lot of effort to finish. XD
  13. Weak yet forced. Equipping the same weaponset twice is so boring. I try to avoid relying on it and would prefer it be something different that doesn't require dumping a weaponset.
  14. Thief is a ranged DPS. Majority of our weapons are ranged. I'll spell it out for you. Dagger: Melee Sword: Melee Staff: Melee Rifle: Ranged (Top DPS) Shortbow: Ranged Pistol: Ranged Scepter: Ranged Axe: Ranged (Unfinished Weapon) Throw in Dual Attacks and the fact that Sword is dead and it's like 3 Melee Weaponsets VS 8 Ranged Weaponsets. Thief is not the Rogue class you're looking for, they're focused on us being ranged DPS. Deadeye and Specter are even ranged themed specs with Specter having no melee weapons due to lack of synergy/support for them. Ranger or one of the Heavy classes ironically are, with daggers and/or swords, or roll Mesmer to use dagger 24/7 but you'll be shooting it.
  15. I still wish builds just stayed the same in water, including their weapons. Just tweak all the weaponskills with different animation that mainly used just the upper body. Make ground target skills cast directly on yourself or enemy, including utilities~ no utilities should be locked. And eventually allow underwater weapons to be useable on land... if you think about it it's kind of odd our characters are carrying around a harpoongun, spear and/or trident that they rarely use/may never use instead of just learning how to use their sword underwater as magical beings. That's a big dream though and with the Cantha living story getting skipped there's very little chance of ever getting underwater content. Underwater content was a selling point to me before game released and it's been something underdelivered ever since.
  16. The developers just have very little passion for this class, I just don't see it at all anywhere~ they just put in the bare minimum effort and move on to things they actually enjoy working on. Staff in HoT was the last thing that felt like they were actually trying to make something cool and fun. Then we just get 3 copypasted ranged weapons ina row with some small twists done to them that aren't even entertaining. Kneeling/RP Walking... Ally Targeting (which was so intensely pathetic on release cuz no AoE healing)... A pointless extra button with no animation to recall Axes... wow, exciting. They still all generally fill the same niche Dual Pistols did, which P/P actually did way better before they gutted them and killed Ricochet. Then they make all the new weapons obnoxiously noisy so everyone can immediately know their most hated class is nearby so they can throw tomatoes at it. The Assassin archetype is just gone from here. So many dud weaponsets that aren't designed with fun or QoL in mind with bugs/mechanical flaws that remain issues for far too long. I don't think there are enough left who care though and if it pulls high numbers on a stationary golem then more chances of the things that actually matter being ignored like 'does it actually feel fun to play?'
  17. So did anyone test if Dual Pistols were actually buffed and it's just a visual bug or that it's really still -5%? Tooltips show it lowering damage when putting Deadly Aim on. Still doin' way lower damage than Rifle.
  18. Nah stuff like hearing FFXIV Samurai and Reaper's blades tearing through enemies is quite beautiful, you likely wont find better sound effects (and music) elsewhere in MMOs. There's just a handful of really unpleasant weapon sound effects spammed in this game, unlike anything I've experienced elsewhere. But it's not like Anet adding a volume slider dedicated to Weaponskills is going to hurt you, just leave it max and let people who don't want our ears murdered use it. The screeching rusty metal of Thief Axe I'm not sure how it even got OK'd for live outside of Anet seemingly wanting Thief weapons to be excessively loud on purpose as a poor way of telegraphing them in PvP and they're willing to sacrifice quality for it~ the Scepter and Rifle are also scaled louder than most weapons. The Axe hurts my ears so much more than anything else in game though which is crossing the line to where I'm now requesting some additional volume options to remedy it since they'll probably never change it. I've got no clue how they designed the sound to Guardian Scepter, it doesn't suit it's light magic theme very well like the staff does. It just sounds like loud buzzing noises randomly edited into something that sounds like a dying machine. I've always disliked using it since the beginning solely cuz of the sound. They didn't bother making a sound for Druid staff and just copied over a literal Submarine radar~ the Submarine in Draconis Mons uses it so guess they built that a while prior. I'm not sure what Submarines have to do with outer space or nature magic since they're technology themed. It's just a really bizarre choice. This was common feedback since it's addition though and it was never changed which is why I feel like I'm just SOL with Thief Axe if it's not done by now. Dreamer and Quip had trolling pretty much part of the design philosophy so it's annoying on purpose. Most of the Guns are just.. realistic apparently... needs ear protection to muffle the noise just like RL guns but our characters are likely already deaf from using them by now. Bonus: Sound team still hasn't sync'd the tempo of Ele Water Scepter 2 with the animation so that's annoying on an OCD level, lol.
  19. Please add a volume slider that only affects Weaponskills so I can turn down unusually loud weapon sounds like "Thief Axe" without it affecting all my other sound effects.
  20. +10% doesnt function, still decreases damage. https://i.imgur.com/vDD6Cqy.png
  21. I've played a lot of MMOs, FFXIV for example I've played every job in it and there isn't a single skill in entire game or any other MMO that is annoyingly loud and abnoxious. The sound team in GW2 on the other hand loves designing very loud and/or annoying weapons/weaponskills and spamming them nonstop. There's no care for ear health here, unfortunately. Guardian Scepter/Quip/Dreamer/Thief Axe & Scepter/Aurene Guns/Ranger Staff/Even Default Guns to name some They even recently added an ear splitting screeching metal noise to Thief Axe that makes it unplayable for me as it's currently the loudest unpleasant sound in game and I can't even change it with a leggy skin. Could at least add a "weaponskill" volume slider at this point so I don't have to kill off every single sound effect at once just to reduce 1 specific one. Or just make better sounds.
  22. They butchered your golems and used their scrap to craft those shields.
  23. Should start by letting Thieves using "Kneel" crawl when moving. Then you can add a slide into prone position when using "Kneel" while running.
