Seems ranger's spear will have two sets of skills.

Now during the trailer we can see white haired tanned Norn(?) character wielding a spear.
The wolf leap animation makes it pretty clear she's a ranger.

So.. notice how several seconds of the rather short trailer are given to her switching her grip on the spear?
If you take a closer look it seems like she's starting from a grip suited for throwing, only to change it to one that's meant for melee combat.

So gratz again rangers - after hammer and maces seems you'll be eating good again..

Super excited for Warrior to get absolutely cucked again. Between the "shared weapon proficiency" that did actually 0 for us, to dumpstering Bladesworn over a year ago (and leaving it there) to Ranger having more customization with their weapon options with non-untamed hammer than Warrior ever had.

 FEELS GOOD.

Ranger: More of a Fantasy Warrior than warrior ever was or ever will be.

@StraightPath.3972

& If you use your eyes, the green "wolf" (it's a fox) leap is performed by a Sylvari in a Trenchcoat. The norn chick is a Guardian and there's also a human elementalist shown throwing a fire spear.

Also @Cernoch.8524 it's more than 20 because ele has weave skills, and probably some new convoluted bullet system that they don't need or want.

P.S. ANet Warrior's underwater spear skills were already good. Probably better than any of their land weapons at this point... It's kind of a waste to use that development time on new skills imo.

The Warclaw leap (not Wolf) is not performed by the white haired Norn. It's a Sylvari with the Primeval Dervish Outfit.  https://imgur.com/a/Jk67tBx
You can also see the white haired Norn in the background.
The Fernhound Pet and green effect also kinda confirms that it's a Ranger. https://imgur.com/a/rSrxv8Z

The white haired Norn is a Guardian, you can see that in the scenes before, her attacks have blue flames. https://imgur.com/a/rKPyDP0

As for switching her grip for throwing, the very first skill shown shows how the Norn throws her spear in the air and let it rain down similar to Revenant's greatsword 5.
Due to the fading the throwing part isn't easy to see, but if you look frame by frame, you can clearly see it.
The later shown close up of the grip switch from throw to melee is either an idle animation or an animation from a skill not shown in the trailer I think.

In total there are 3 Guardian Skills shown in the trailer:
The one in the first image. Probably the auto attack.
The melee swing with blue flames from the third image.
And the Revenant GS5 like one.

For Ranger one skill is shown, the leap.

And there is one skill shown from (Fire) Elementalist where they throw a spear. https://imgur.com/a/8EWeTtv

Bonus: The explosion from the Elementalist spear looks really odd. Reminds me of these free explosion assets I downloaded when I played around with Adobe After Effects.
It's most likely a placeholder though.
