FuriousLight.9160
we all know the situation with the 3 vs 3 tournament that happened. this raises a big question, are things tested before production releases? i am paying for stuff in game just to play pvp how i like it, meaning expansions for elite specialisation and stuff like this. in eu we had 57 teams, 171 people who got blasted by the bug, and hopefully will get compensation for the time wasted. this many people at the same time playing this tournament means a lot, people enjoy more 3v3 than conquest in na was more from what i understand. just to be clear as a qa engineer myself, this is not allowed in production and the testing team did not do it's job properly, if any. user experience was heavily impacted for an already small community and this will just make it even smaller. all of this meaning that pvp needs fixing or it will die for good. pay close attention to gw2 pvp as it has more potential than any other game because of the dinamic combat. it is clear now that the system is flawed and it needs fixing as people enjoy more deathmatch rather than conquest. also all of this was streamed to other people ( mightyteapot 400+ people, just an example) right before launching an expansion that will follow. this is not acceptable in 2024 to have this kind of stuff happen live + streamed

FuriousLight.9160
nothing on the dev here, they did their best problem is the ones assigned on testing it, other than devs, proper planning and thinking was not there when you copy an existing thing and tie it to another you need to make sure that things communicate properly, referencing the timer bug here but won't go into details based on the observed symptoms. a dev would see that it works as it is but here must come the tester to actually replicate lots of scenarios to see if something brakes. it feels like none of them did a 3v3 to actually see a finished round and what happens after
FuriousLight.9160
also to mention that the bug was on the happy flow which is totally unacceptable for production releases you enter -> you fight -> you win/loose -> timer stops, round win/lost {insert bug here}-> users taken to the next round

Endo.1652
Watching the meta turn into Team USA swapping to triple vindis to die first and then the MAT just gèts pulled after an hour of people watching rooms get filled with gas. I swear this tournament was more like a WW2 simulator than an MMO.
Saiyan.1704
What if this was the game mode Anet has been advertising? 😅 "When you win, you lose... but only if you don't lose. This will teach players to be better at not winning, but also to not lose." - Anet
