Tanner Blackfeather.6509
Yes, it's normal. It's a protection against accounts being purchased using stolen credit cards.Highly annoying, but it passes quickly.
Illconceived Was Na.9781
It's really annoying for four days. A month later, you'll probably forget that you had to wait (until you see a post from another player complaining about the wait time, too).PS Welcome to GW2! soistheman.7208
When GW2 launched back in 2012, we couldn't use TP for like 10 days. You can handle it!
Inculpatus cedo.9234
Lol, I probably didn't use the Trading Post for months when GW2 launched. Took me awhile to figure out how things worked. I'm sure a few days won't really matter in the long run; my ignorance surely didn't. = )

Although if I remember correctly back during the first year most white, blue and even green drops were considered vendor trash. I'm not sure if people hadn't caught onto the idea of salvaging them and selling the materials or if the lower demand for mats in those days meant it wasn't worthwhile (in those days there wasn't as much to craft, once you got to level 400 and made a set of exotic equipment, if you weren't getting that from the temples in Orr, you were pretty much done with crafting) but no one I knew did that, and as a result there wasn't much demand for the equipment either.
