Well the strategy was already needed when the conquest mode with the maps with interesting mechanics (well at least some of them) was in the ranked mode. Now it is only death match. Just about killing and now it is possible to try fun builds just for fun (to see if the own team member rages if you get killed too fast cause you tried a new build). {I mean ... there is no unranked 2 vs. 2 to test builds designed for a 2 vs. 2 and it more depends on the composition of thoser 2 vs. 2 teams and the classes/professions both players play. 2nd team member being another profession could mean that while keeping your same profession a different build might be better - for snyergies.}
