TokyoGhost.6492
I remember when HoT came out, there was Jalis+Glint raid build. I loved the flashiness of animations and what skills do in general. The only downside was AA spam. Over time, I decided to try and make something similar to it, where I can use more skills and not just AA.Idea was to buff up before fight using Glint, consume "Burst of Strenght" and "Facet of Nature", then switch to Jalis and sword 3(Unrelenting Assault) + Jalis hammers(Vengeful hammers) until all energy dries out. Then back to Glint, buff up and repeat. Staff is used for some extra situational CC and blocks. With buffs, I have 25 might almost permanently, 96.71% crit chance and 3.5k power. I am open to any constructive suggestion or feedback :)http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PmxAwyZlpQHMLyhdRNMM6hJSfsCKgJ/lWTF-zRIYR01XItFE1WBVkKqNA-e
Infusion.7149
If it's for PvE I'd run Shared EmpowermentFor fractals people prefer renegade for alacrity + soulcleave summit however.
Virdo.1540
I would prefer this:Devastation - Unsuspecting Strikes; Assassins Presence; Dance of DeathInvocation - Rising Tide; Incensed Response; Roiling MistsHerald- Rising Momentum; Shared Empowerment; Draconic Echowith Glint/Jalis SwordSword/Staffand using F2(directly to active) only on dwarfIt makes you carry almost everything in Fractals & Open world. Jobber.6348
Forceful Persistance if yur doing content Solo, but Draconic Echo may be better for group content so as to keep the buffs running while yur swap to Jalis. If yur doing like map Metas, I think I would just run Forceful Persistance, because there are alot of boons flying around, yur little pulsing boons may not really help the others as much as it helps mainly yurself.Shared Empowerment - similarly, use this only when supporting a group, if not, yur better off using Hardening Persistance. Why the two Persistance traits? Well it allows yu to use Vengeful Hammers to their full capacity as both a tanking and sustained damage tool.
Nephalem.8921
dont use unrelenting assault for anything but the evade please. it is terrible for damage. use word 2,4,5 instead.always run assassins presence in group content unless there are 2 revenants.Dance of Death is probably better than swift termination even for dps. still needs further testing.shared empowerment might works on yourself aswell. 13% damage is huge so would probably always run forceful persistence.Another thing is that starting in t3 and especially t4 these semi supporting hybrid builds don't work as good as specialised dps or support builds. its fine until you face sirens reef with bad instabilities were you either want real dps or real support builds. you can still do that as herald but would play it more like a dps.Hybrid builds work when they bring unique or strong stuff like quickness or alacrity. Renegade just works much better as a hybrid support. you still give might. you still give protection and even fury with pack runes but you also give alacrity and have powerful spirits which can stunlock entire mobgroups or add insane amounts of lifesteal to the party functioning as a semi healer. This is not a "meta only" post but renegade is just awesome as hybrid. only downside is legend charr theme and i can totally relate if you dont want to look at charrs all the time.well if you like flashiness kalla spirits win easily over facets.
