The expansion teaser art style

Quite amazed by the new teaser video’s style. GW2 has always use two art styles for trailer videos: 1 flat motion sketch-painting style (icebrood sage trailer). 2: in game model style (join the game trailer).

I have been hoping gw2 introduce some new trailer style that look more cinematic, like the new WoW and Diablo trailers. But today the expansion trailer looks really good!

It’s a paint style art render on a 3D models . This align well with GW2’s concept art style but look a lot more mature and professional. Hope to see more videos this style in the games future :D

I do agree, one of the thing that did make me start guild wars 2 was the sensation of playing with in a painting!

I did not like all the visual clutter. Hopefully the next trailer will actually show what the area will look like.

i dont think will have big different with the old cantha. you can get some idea from gw:factions

The art style of the trailer was really beautiful. I liked it very much :)
