Since we can hide hats with outfits...why not let us transmute them as well?

I understand that all the parts of an outfit are "sewn together" and that's why we're stuck with the hole package with no customization possible.

But the head item is clearly different since it can be hidden.

 

If it can be hidden, why can't it be transmuted separately?

Id rather they converted all the outfits into armour skins tbh. So many outfits sections i could work with to make a really good look... but cant since they are outfits. Feels bad man

I'd actually consider getting outfits if I can use whatever head piece I wanted with it. Right now my interest in them is zero. However, it is obvious that the outfits would clash with all the other pieces in the game because outfits are textured better and actually adopts colors. They have dev preference because you have to buy them instead of earn them in game.

I don’t see them changing the ability to transmute pieces of the outfit itself as it is now. I agree that making it into an armor skin would be nice, but also it would be nice if our actual armor just showed through when turning off the headpiece of the outfit and the armor and outfit headpiece toggled on and off separately. Then I could wear the Aurene outfit along with the Aurene mask that is an armor skin.
