Best way to get stat selectable exotic gear (armor and weapons)

Hi there after the stat selectable update, i. e. you can select attribute combinations based on your purchased expansions, what is the easiest way, in terms of difficulty, to get exotic stat selectable gear? For example if one completes "A Bug in the system" achievement one obtains an exotic shoulder piece (Olmakhan Mantle), on which you can select the attribute combination on use.

If you enjoy player vs. player, I heartily recommend either WvW or sPvP for their armor reward tracks.

The final chest allows you to select an exotic piece of armor from any weight, which is stat selectable. With potions of PvP/WvW reward, looted from the daily chests, a reward track can be completed fairly quickly.

Weapons is different manner, and usually either a weapon specialization collection is the way to go, otherwise just buy off the TP or craft it yourself.

Thank you very much @Turkeyspit.3965 for showing me this possibility, I have a question regarding PvP/WvW, I played open world PvE only so far as a core guardian dps, I have zero experience in those pvp game modes, how should I begin?

The Bladed Armor from Verdant Brink is probably the best for PVE. Since the recent change to stat selection, you can apply any stat combinations to the armor, based on the expansions you own.

At that point, there is no need for stat selectable armor, since the only stats that would appear on that armor are tied to which expansions you own. Since we are talking about core game only, only core stats would appear in the drop down menu, and exotic armor with core stats can be purchased from the TP.

There are crafted versions as well as 'named' versions (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Named_armor) which players get as drops, the latter being much cheaper - on average about 40-50 silver per piece.

Map meta achivments in LW4 if you insist on selectable stats from PoF and PVE only

You can check here for armor. If it has selectable stats, it'll say so in the prefix column.The easiest and fastest for full sets are the PvP/WvW reward tracks for Glorious/Triumphant/Hero/Legacy pieces.

Edit: The named Exotic pieces of the Warbeast armor, which are tradeable, but expensive, on the Trading Post, have a rather large selection of stats to choose from. So this is probably the easiest PvE only way.

You can craft an Adventurer's Scarf or Adventurer's Mantle for cheap and it has selectable stats.
