Craine.8162's Achievements

  1. i think the reward structure will be reworked once the initial rush has worn off. it was probably designed like this to not "crash" the marked. the metas will be played for a couple weeks/months anyway, even with trash loot. once player numbers drop, there's room to improve rewards and reignite the metas. i mean just look at the way most of the meta events are designed. seinung, kaineng and dragons end all have some sort of lane/escort that need to be completed in order to trigger the final boss. its easy to add some chests in between (see noxious pods in dragons stand for example)
  2. also note that the dragons end locations in the achievement panel are switched. talking to marjory at the harvest complex location will give progress for seafarer's enclave and vice versa. (at least that was the case when i did the achievement a couple days ago)
  3. It starts right in front of Aspenwood Research Facility. But it seems the event gets bugged when the Tengu event to the north-east is up at the same time because there's an NPC that's also involved in the Aspenwood event chain. Or the NPC is just bugged in general, idk.
  4. this exactly. get 10 mystic coins out of strikes and combine them with the strike/raid/fractal currencies to get 5 clovers. thats it. no matter how you twist it, there will always be two currencies unused and a lack of supply in mystic coins unless you buy additional mystic coins from the tp - which will definitely make the prices go up.
  5. if i understand OP correctly, he doesnt want to buy gold on one account and send it to the other. it's just a rant that he cannot send more than 500g/week to his alt-account, even if he farmed this gold 100% legit on his main account (or the other way round). all while ANet allows him to buy "infinite" gold via real money.
  6. Wasn't the exact reason they threw the concept of "living world" overboard that people who weren't able to play the content in the given timeframe would miss it entirely? I don't even have time to participate in the event this week. And i don't want to bother organizing a 50 people squad everytime i want to do it in the future.
  7. you can carry both of them at the same time on some classes. so there IS a point to crafting two of them. with amulets that's different.
  8. that's where you're wrong.me kicking you from the group will stop you from not caring about my rules ;)(before you answer: "i will not start caring about your rules because you kick me" - you know what i mean...) If one of your rules is good dps (not because youre an elitist but because you want a smooth run or simply dont have a lot of time) then yes, you do need a dps meter. otherwise you have to go back to 2013 and start kicking people based on assumptions such as "he's playing class X" or "he only has X AP"I prefer knowing the source of the problem instead of poking in the dark.
  9. No I haven't. And we never will. Because dps numbers are very different depending on what boss you're at.That's why people ask for a certain experience (within possibility of the given tools, such as LI ping etc.) so the people joining know what is expected from them.If you need a specific number spelled out for you, chances are you're not experienced enough to begin with. So you admit you have no good argument, you can subjectively decide anytime that someone in your party is not doing enough and kick them? Gotcha. While leading a squad I can decide to kick you whenever I want and for whatever reason I want. I never stated anything else. That's the only argument I need. You wrote something in chat i don't agree with? kickYou play ranger? kickYour char looks stupid? kickYou're last in dps? kick My squad, my rules. With or without dps meter.
  10. No I haven't. And we never will. 11. It's not me who is deciding anything about anyones dps. It's certain people who use dps meter. I'm just joining the group and killing stuff. And if I do let's say 15k dps and top guy does 20k, he could decide that by his pure opinion, I'm not contributing enough and kicks me. (I've yet to see lfg that would says 20k required or something like that in almost 8 years of playing). Dude says: "Again, it is not up to you to decide how much damage is "enough" for the other players in your group."You reply: "But it's up to them to decide whether my dps is below their subjective limit, so they can kick me? Nice logic."I reply: "doesnt matter if your subjective limit matches the commander's subjective limit. His squad his rules. If you cant live with that make your own squad with your own rules." the difference here is:you're just a "random" player joining a squad with certain rules. youre in a position with no rights to force your opinion onto anyone.the person kicking you is the squad's leader who sets those rules and has the right to kick you if you dont follow them./edit: same goes for 5 man groups of course. if you join 4 players doing e.g. fractals, you should do your best to meet those 4 players expectations instead of forcing your expectations onto them. i dont see any flawed logic here.
  12. of course it is. and you're free to create your own group with your own subjective limit. I'm pointing out their logical inconsistency and you come in to make entirely different point that makes no sense in that context. Bravo.your point was pretty much: the only acceptable limits are those limits set by the game itself (see quote below).others disagreed, saying players are free to set their own limits (even if they exceed the bare minimum) and only accept players in their squad that agree to those limits.no logical inconsistency there.
  13. And when they aren't performing to your standards, they deserve to be ridiculed, right? To stay with my analogy:If your performance doesnt match your salary your boss has every right to ridicule you, doesnt he? Your boss has the right to fire you. What benefit would there be in ridiculing someone? Oh yeah, "fun". Besides, if you think doing things like raids in game is like working a job, you might consider if playing that part of the game is worth the stress. Just something to think about.i was expecting the "if raiding is like a job to you..." reply.. ^^ it's just an analogy, don't take it too seriously. however:with almost 4 years experience in raiding i can say with confidence that most commanders will not ridicule a "bad" player. the main root for toxicity is kicked players starting to flame the commander.
