  1. GW2 raids are casual when compared to other MMOs. No need to go below the already existing easy mode.
  2. Then I'll gladly be called an elitist. Soldier anything is trash in PvE.
  3. Because dungeons were designed with these story paths in mind, these paths are completely different from the explorable paths and thus do not apply for raids. So I'm acknowledging my unfamiliarity with raid content in GW2 here, but if I understand your post correctly, there is no 'story' to the raid content?Dungeons have a big part of their story in the story mode, which is strongly interwoven with the personal story. Their explorable modes also contain bits of story, which takes place after the story mode story. However, as Grogba already said, explos are totally different from story mode. They have more or less similar locations, but that's it. A possible raid infantile mode is a totally different story, since that one would be a poor copy of the normal mode. Dungeon paths are no copies.
  4. Good catch and just another sign that the possible audience for an infantile mode is very limited.
  5. Just as dungeons had casual-friendly paths and paths that weren't, but no double versions, raids have trash bosses and bosses where you need to put in a modicum of effort. Your "argument" doesn't hold against the history of this game.
  6. Excellent suggestion, that would help tremendously when you have a bunch of alts that have very different playstyles.
  7. I find a definition of rule 38 of the internet which I definitely won't quote here, but I expected as much. Apart from these issues, I tend to agree with Feanor - I don't think all the troubles associated with user-generated content (what kind of QC do you implement? where do you draw a line? etc.) are worth it. Yes, there are mods out there that blow most AAA games out of the water, but they're incredibly rare. Most of the stuff out there is, as Sturgeon's law states, trash. That works for SP and normal MP games, but not for a MMO.
  8. Well that's the thing.. I actually like the abilities on the scepter, but it's just super annoying to actually use. It needs at a minimum a visual rework :) Art/visual complaints are perfectly valid complaints. But do you really think this is where the team should spend their time on guardian?Right. Mechanically and damage-wise, scepter is in an excellent spot at least for PvE, don't care about the rest. Its art is nothing special (few classes' scepters are), but other weapons need to be reworked much more urgently.
  9. Right. With very few exceptions, normal bossesalready are at the level of what would normally be the easy mode.
  10. So once again it just boils down to the shinies.Isn't that what this thread has been about since almost the very beginning? People who want the shinies but don't want to put in any effort? I really have to applaud people like Feanor who somehow possess the patience to constantly refute all the falsehoods that are spread here again and again. At that rate, I would have gone mad long ago.
  11. What exactly is locked? I must have missed the necessity for an attunement or whatever before you can enter a raid.
  12. Indeed. All the current SAB stuff is ugly and inappropriate enough, but SAB mounts would be an order of magnitude worse. If such stuff is introduced, I demand a new setting to prevent eye cancer (i.e. display other people's mounts as standard models).
  13. Yes please. And while we're at it, bring the cost of BSSBSS somewhat in line with all the other meta food.
  14. What's the point of all this "the next WoW (killer)" anyway? We've been hearing this for a long time with regard to many new MMOs and none of them managed to come even close to WoW's success. I'm confident that won't change in the foreseeable future. Blizzard were extremely lucky to release the right game at the right time, now they still benefit from those amazing start conditions. With a stagnating or declining MMO market in general, there is just no space for a new WoW.
