  1. i agree with the other 2 stuff, but this is not true, build diversity is right now, pretty high, it went with eod high and now we have more viable builds than we had in core gw2

So we had EoD and now we have Soto,, i looked at the Soto roadmap but there was no mention of any pvp content. https://www.guildwars2.com/en-gb/news/guild-wars-2-secrets-of-the-obscure-launches-today/ The last "major" update for pvp was the intreduction of 2vs2/3vs3 offseason in 2020 where there was more of those mods announced but its okay those 2 are "fine". but my question is, is pvp now in maintance mod where we only get balance patches every 2-3 month or do we have to wait until the next Xpac? the population is shrinking, on EU we barely get 1500 as top 250, compared to 3 years ago it was 16XX, one major flaw was the feb 2020 patch and a long time not happening much. i am happy that this is gone (i believe ranger nerf comes in 2-3 weeks), but for real you have to change something. there was no ToL this and last year, there were no special tournament weeks like we had were every second tournament was a 2vs2/3vs3/4vs4 or even stronghold. so what now? Suggestion 1: can we get any diversity, you showed that special tournaments are doable, so can we maybe get them permanently? like every saturday 1 Special tournament? First week 1vs1, second week 2vs2, third week 3vs3 and fourth week is the monthly? i am not an anet dev but it looks reasonable easy to do, because we had it already. Suggestion 2: Implement 2vs2 and 3vs3 to unranked, many people, especially from other games don't know how the combat in this game works, so a simple smash your head mode for beginners is very welcome. People also like diversity, having more than 2 modes may interrest more people into pvp. Disable that you can choose a mode and let the matchmaker do it thing (you could maybe bring a variable that the players played every mode equailly when they q solo or duo. maybe a bit of work but i can't imagine that it would be that crazy Suggestion 3: fix King of the Hill, the orb Mechanic is totaly dumb, just diyng because you hold the orb is stupid af, make the orb carrier more vulnarbale, like 20-40% less toughness and vitality and let the players throw the orb to another player (You have now an special action key, give it a 20-30 second cooldown when you get the orb) . this could bring a dynamic protect the VIP/King of the Hill mode, and makes a contenter for another mode for unranked and special tournaments. this seems quite a bit of work i guess so i am not sure if you ever would do that. Suggestion 4: this looks for me, the most work to do, so its the last suggestion. Rework the league system, Boyce has 162 wins and 51 looses and is Rank 1 with 1765, we don't have a legend player on the leaderboard and its almost andoable (outside the first week) wihtout night silver ques or wintrading. Lower the whole system, make only Legend Rating at 1700 and let plat 1 & 2 stay, remove Legend 2&3 its pointless. Change Rating reset, Change that you start at gold 1 Rating, if you have done pvp lvl 20 and hopp into ranked, you get absolut demolished, yes gold players are not good, but people that have no clue can enjoy their first 10 looses and never come back to pvp, they complain that they get farmed, flamed and have no motivation every again to try it out. Let the gamers start at 800 bronze 3 rating, so new players will defenitly meet new or combat unaware players. You can even remove or lower the lvl 20 restriction to 10 or 5. Change softreset, let just eveyrone loose 100-300 rating. every seasonstart a big pain, no one enjoys the first 3-4 weeks and it makes the games way more coinflip than they could be. i know nothing will change, but i also know that anet employes read this. @Cal Cohen.2358 i know you are only head of balance, but maybe you can convince @Groucho.3429 or @Grouch.4203 or @groucho.8640 to bring a little bit of ressources to pvp, you both where pvp players, you both know how the community loves this gamemode and how sad we are. PvP is not dead yet, you can change it PLEASE Edit: i even gave you a Quartaly kinda roadmap suggestion, every 3 month one of those change, to community would be tahnkfull (tho suggestion 4 is probably the most needed one)

  5. i hit with 10k against light targets when they are rooted/cc'd if it would be 6-7k it would be still a big spike
  6. heyyo, ranger sword is pretty busted rn, the dmg combined with the mobility is super crazy. so i am a ranger main and i actually don't want that build to be completly killed but you could lower the dmg of sword to easily to 65% of what it is now and it would still hit crazy, just less crazy. many also complain about warhorn 4, and while i agree its a bit a wild skill in terms of duration, the actual problem is onewolfpack, lower its coefficent instead of nerfing warhorn 4 the skill itself is easy to avoid. the last thing should probably be maul, but i wouldnt go to crazy since you need to stay very very close to hit both hits, go by 10-20% bonus idea for berserker: reduce Savage instinct to 1,5 oder 1 second same with the stability where you get with entering and leaving the berserker mode
  7. i still don'T get why anet doesn't make a permantent q out of it, you have clearly 2 types of enjoyers, conquest players will play conquest und deatchmatch player play deathmatch
  8. you Just Walk Out when you See Hammer 4 and 5, Rest is easy avoidable than learn 2 Play issue

  10. i dislike the Idea of removing mat titles and gizmo's, it would solve some Problems on na but Not all Problems, you don't actually Team USA would Stop playing theory fav Game?
  11. yeah i know southsun survival and i know how many people playing and how much fun IT IS compares to normal guildwars 2 (Not fun at all) it removes thr good stuff from the Game (the Combat)

Okay Okay Okay, i know many will be in the first second confused and dislike the idea of having a Battle Royal mode, but the Game has every Mechanic already to create a Large-Scale Battleroyal mode. Pitch: The Gear/stats should be PvE Or WvW based, PvE should be an easier way to target the Casual Audience, since they don't need to Adept to a different variant of some of their skills. on the Opposit WvW stats would be a great way to direct players into WvW, which seems like anet has a bigger focus on RN. As Map could Any base PvE Map or maybe even Eternal Battlegrounds come in my mind, Obviusly the Gates have to be disabled. Both Variants would allow Free2play players reach every corner of the map to survive (yes we need deathzones, thankfully anet implemented them with the team deathmatch arenas) Airships Fly over the Map where people can jump of and Glide down to the map, since the movement of the game is quite fast you could be quite quickly with the times. After 3 minutes you could already start spreading deathzones arround the map to kep the pace up. Groups and Mapobjectivs: People can search as up to 5 players (full party) and the game will always autofill the groups. landed on the ground the group has to choose between hunting other groups or Killing Beasts. Killing Beasts will provide for up to 30-60 seconds a Full unremovable boon, these Boons are set static, Stronger Beasts giving you Strong Boons (Stability, Protection, Quickness), while weaker Beasts give more sensible boons (Regen, Swiftness) these are more common to find and easier to obtain, while the Strong Beasts become big investments, a stealthed group could steal the big boon ;). Instead of looting boxes you fight Real monsters to earn a Timed boost for your group to get an advantage over your foes. Having multiple groups including 5 people fighting against each other arround this objectives could create Storys that is unheard off. 1 Team could steal the Boon, the other 3 groups should ally to kill the group, but becarefull the backstab will come faster than you can imagine. Why in the World would that be a Streaming Hit? Battle Royal's are out !! Battleroyal's are stuck in their shooter element, Guild Wars 2's combat is from the ground up build for pvp. THIS IS THE NEXT STEP of the genre, streamers like Dr. Disrespect, playapex even summit1g could be all attracted and bring their viewership and populatrity. Beeing in a 5 man group against many different 5 man groups allows for long solo group battles and fast chaotic here are 20 people jumping on each other gameplay for fun and entertaining hours. Battle Royals are still very popular, but this game is an MMO, so you are combining it, people that only come because of the battle royal, will start love their characters and invest more into the open world, raids, WvW and PvP. This could be an low bar entrence for pvp based modes for many people. most did not even had an idea to try pvp gamemodes out, having an npc standing arround in the open world and sending people into the Battle, would also open up the own Community to new Horizens. i Hope i didn't forgett anything that i had in my mind

  15. i will leave the game until you fix cata, i think its bugged, since last patch it has more stability than any other boon (but it almost has every other boon). pls fix fast i am addicted
