  1. Here is a little guide for the people on the forums who find reactions and notifications anoying: Deactivate the reactions Add in your adblocker filters: Deactivate the notifications Go to Account Settings -> Notifications Settings (on the right) -> Unckeck all settings You can now focus on the conversations. Take back control. Bonus: deactivate the posts counter To put everyone at the same level, add in your adblocker filters::
  2. I don't see the problem too. If I find that the squad is too slow for my taste, I can make myself safe at any time to go make me a coffee. Some critical hits are enough to tag any event of the game and get the rewards at the end.
  3. You would be surprised to know that is a really normal behavior on those forums, especialy from people with hundred or thousands of posts. Denying others opinions and even the people themselves is a national sport here. Fortunatly, those people are just going around in circles here. Devs doesn't read the forums since a long time and they are right.
  4. I think the best answer when a guy on your own team have a bad conduct is to just put down the keyboard and do something else like read a book or anything else. Since no actions are taken, the best you can do is helping him to lose.
  5. I understand the concerns but their plans are all mapped out since months and they will do what they planned to, nothing more. The majority of players who are not on official forums and are happy about the state of the game already buyed the expansion directly from the popup in game. Some reactions here could be appropriate but the studio's in-game stats and sales figures in real time will mostly influence the decisions.
  6. That's true and that's why the devs just moved off those forums too. There will always be people who have the need to express their concerns or opinions. For that, having some official forums where you can concentrate all the negativity is a great strategy. Blizzard do that with Diablo 4 too. Keeping the bad influence in a restricted controlled place and also give the impression to the players that they are listened is great for the business. A minority of players turn in circles on official forums and Reddit and at the same time the majority of the players get good testimonials of the game on social medias and from more enthusiastic Youtubers and streamers (especially the Anet Partners). In short, the studio handle very well the situation and I'm happy for them.
  7. I think they did an error with making more fractals. Each fractal is more and more bad received than the previous one. They have lost this expertise they had at the begining when fractals where more simple, short and engaging. They lost more and more player after the release of Siren's Reef, Sunqua Peak and Silent Surf fractals, alongside the rework of the Molten Boss one. They should better focus on strikes missions since they have reworked their organisation to develop them with more flexibility. It's so obvious that the new Silent Surf fractal was thought and developed like a strike mission.
  8. I hope the Wizard's Vault dailies will ask to the players to only play some matches (wins or losses doesn't matter) so everyone will pretend, especially the PvE players who will feel obliged to do that to get the last shinies.
  9. As an exploration type player, I secretly hope that it will happen so that the studio, according to their in-game stats, stop the development of strikes and fractals to only focus on what they are good at and what it make Guild Wars 2 truly unique: the open world, the dialogs and ambiance and the dynamic events. Expand the open world is the best way to continue to expand the Guild Wars' universe while making the casual segment to flourish which has a much greater earning potential, like the the players on mobile segment.
  10. Thinking about it, the reaction of the people here (and mine) was maybe a little too disproportionate. When we look at it: People will get a choice of 3 from 30 relics on each character. Players who have the 7 runes will beneficiate of a great progression to craft the legendary relic. The runes will keep their stats and the 6th bonus wasn't so awesome on the majority of them. The relics will bring more diversity to the game. Removing runes in duplicate will add more clarty for most of the players of the game. Developers will have more flexibility to enhance and balance all of this. I think the devs are right to not follow this topic anymore.
  11. I somehow agree. Sure reading the WvW and PvP forums is a waste of time for that. However, they have tools to look at the popularity of some contents in real time so why bother to read the forums at all. Only following the topics in the bugs section and only some selected ones like they do for the Soto expansion is the best strategy to have and they do it very well. Focusing their ressources on their programming tools, their games and future developments is their best decision.
  12. You will have to get used to the degradation of the PvP since both the community and the devs don't care about enhancing the game mode. There will not be moderation in game. Good luck👍
  13. I agree. The visible part of the community on the forums and even reddit is a minority and doesn't deserve to be listen more than the real monitored actions of players in game. At the end, the studio owes nothing to his consumers. I'm impatient to see their next innovative projects.
  14. Everyone want to move on one day, even the devs. Guild Wars isn't a nice thing to work on it anymore. That's normal to want to finish the job of the boring legacy project as fast as possible to go on the far more interesting new project full of novelty and promises. The legacy project is the source of all of the incomes for the moment and some devs have to sacrifice some of their time on it but better they will replace it, better the studio will grow. I would not be shocked if their next project was related to another license. Guild Wars is old. The studio need new horizons.
  15. I speaked about the good moderation. I think if Youtube did it, that's for a good thing. Youtube is a lot more successful and smarter leading company than ArenaNet. But hey, at this point this community is just an immense circlejerk. People with thousand of comments like to nurture their ego with dumb emojis instead of helping to enhance the game. The most successful topics are the most useless and stupid ones. People can't read more than the title or 3 lines of a topic without giving their opinion. The people here don't like the Guild Wars franchise and don't want to enhance the game. The dungeons, raids, WvW and the PvP are dead and get no more content because of the community here. At the end, the community deserve it. I hope the next unannounced game will allow to the studio to take a new departure and let that community behind for the better. I really understand why the developers don't read those forums and don't listen the players here. That's a waste of time. Focusing on new players on social medias is the best strategy.
