  1. I must admit those sound like pretty cool changes to the maps. With the pre-LWS1 Lion's Arch though, it confused me for quite a bit why Lion's arch was so different in the instance when I played it (I joined early this year so newer player here). When I hit level 80, I finally learned of LWS1 and how Lion's Arch was reconstructed. So in terms of instances, while it'd work, I would be disorienting for newer players albeit possible.
  2. *Would also be nice if we had Malyck as an interactable npc/quest npc then. However wishes aside, that sounds like a really cool idea. But then it would probably take a great amount of map reworking to add all these features, especially for a core Tyria map. We'd hit the issue of "Hey you updated one core map, now how about all the others?" (Definitely not against an overall core update.) And then we would also hit the barrier of lore consistency as Dierdre's been sitting in that garden with that tree this whole time. (How old would she be if she had planted it? Secondborn? Thirdborn? That'd be about 20 years. Maybe the seed mutated or is a species that grows that massive in that short span of time) On the otherhand, it would probably provide a better explanation for why we have Sylvari scattered/populated in the maps that are across the sea from the Pale Tree/Grove. I personally find it curious how there's so many Sylvari on that side of the ocean aside from the fact that several are there for wildlife protection/wyld hunts in fighting risen Not to mention, the full on groups of Nightmare Court antagonizing everyone on those maps (in addition to Inquest but Inquest are everywhere). So, cool concept. Very curious about the lore implications it could have if it was reworked that way. Can't help yah with the name of Blighted Trees though. Edit: Realized this is probably an impossible concept in core maps as it would screw over the Sylvari personal stories/intros where it's weaved around the fact that the Pale Tree is individual. Malyck himself is groundbreaking in personal lore esp since you would only know him if you chose the 1/3 story that contained him. So it'd be an unlikely thought in a core map. Future Living World maybe? Or a season that permanently changes the core maps like Season 1 with Lion's Arch? Who knows.
  3. Don't use titles too often purely for the reason of not having one that "fits" the characters' personalities I've created in mind. However, I have stuck to "Sunbringer" since I got it a few months back. Fits my second-most-used Sylvari male perfectly as he reminds me of a ray of sunshine.
  4. I have no clue how it turned out helpful for you but I'm glad my recent necroing of this helped someone XD
  5. While all of your provided ones sound nice, I must admit these 4 in particular would be immense fun to have. Especially the "Knows Everybody" as I greatly enjoy talking to every npc possible and listening in on ambient dialogue. It also brings up the thought but it'd be cool if there was a title specific to Whispers players who have managed to talk to all Whispers affiliated npcs/found all Whispers affiliated locations. Would be a cool nod to the world from core gameplay.
  6. Haven't been naming my mounts properly bc laziness but I do have my Raptor and Skyscale personally named on main as I use them most often: Raptor - Idiot (used endearingly) - I started refering to him as such before actually naming him and then realized I couldn't think of any other name because it stuck. (Also would like to think that my main refers to him as such because he runs into walls and rocks a lot/misses the intended jump (due to my bad guidance)) He uses the original skin just more red. Skyscale - Aura - She's my sweet baby girl that gave me an aura of happiness whenever she sqwuaked awkwardly as a hatchling. (I finally got the new shimmerwing skin and she's even more splendid) And the Roller Beetle is Petey for the same reason as OP. I find it interesting how when I use a different character and dye the mounts different, my impressions of what they are like also differs. (ex: red Raptor on main is an idiot and he cutely acts as such but green Raptor on other is the intelligent younger brother that still needs to be named)
  7. I see. I wasn't aware of the specific definition of Freebooter. Often glossed over it in the "Titles" Wikia. Thank you for the info! :D *Still will stubbornly wish for a loose "Wanderer/Drifter" Title but I'll work on getting Freebooter. Thank you :)
  8. I disagree. The connotation held to the word "Traveler" is different from "Wanderer" as wandering or drifting is done comparatively aimlessly. (Granted there is irony present here as one would be doing something purposefully for a title) And Freebooter is concerned with the sunken chests and is more of a treasure hunting title than exploration. Sorry for no clarification and necroing and old thread. I joined the game early this year and wasn't around when it actually happened.
  9. Very late to this thread and bringing it back up because I joined this year, however I want to add a title suggestion as well. I wish we had something along the lines of "Wanderer," "Drifter," or "Wanderlust" or something as that's what I enjoy doing in this game. I tell others I'm just enjoying drifting by and doing nothing in particular, just climbing ridiculous things, completing occasional events, and admiring the scenery so it'd be nice if I could have a title like that which fits the chara I do it most on. Just an add on to this thread
