  1. I enjoyed both and keep playing both. There are many things of GW1 that I terribly miss in GW2, as said in many other threads. I don't start the list again... :)
  2. I am too deep in GW2 and far from getting enough of it.I keep playing GW1.I have really no hurry to see a 3rd GW coming, alone for a question of lack of time for more than two games. So I would tend maybe for "when time is right", with add: "as late as possible please". Another side is: When I see how many things from GW1 I miss in GW2, and how much I enjoy when something of GW1 is in GW2, reminding me of earlier times... I believe that many players - like me - are attached to the story of GW continuing over time. If a GW3 should come, I do not want it to be a standalone without any links to the previous ones. I think that if we stay at those games for so many years, this is because we are attached to them via the stories, thanks to the continuity. I would not like it to be broken. If this continuity is not given, then it should not be called GW3, because it would be a different game with no link to the two others. It's personally not something I wish to see.
  3. Oh that would be so nice if we could turn off the effects of other players skills around! Yesterday, I did a big event in Istan, and I was literally "lost in yellow" and completely blind therefore. I was trying to use "T" key but the commander was not calling target, so it was not helping... It was really crazy.
  4. My impressions are very mitigated. I found the last step of the storyline too "heavy". For an average player like myself, who has it hard to solo storylines in general, with a caster, the final fight is terribly long in time and really hard to manage. That was really crazy for me and I was exhausted when I finally finished it, after long long time (too ashamed to tell how long... :p ). I really do enjoy the landscape of the new area. Lot of climbing possible. I do love that there is a lot of green (Elona is so dry...). I especially like that the configuration is not done to favorize one mount or the other. All mounts work well there. That's really good. I was afraid that one mount could possibly get favorized and become sort of mandatory. I am glad it is not the case.I also appreciate that the foes density is back to something fair enough and that foes seem to break aggro a bit more "normally" than in Elona.I would have liked more scavenger hunts.I had big fun at the events I did up to now. I have not seen them all yet.
  5. At the end, we are always back to the same, like all the other threads about mount skins before.Fact: Mount skins are optional. Nobody is forced to it. They are not required to the gameplay. They are a purely "nice to have" feature.Fact: Setting up the price is a marketing strategy decision from Anet side, with objective to have a good income of money. If it works as is, nice for them. Don't forget that the money required to keep the game going is not coming from the once-only payment at buying the game or an expansion pack. Now, regarding if price is too high or not: How to judge that? Based on what criteria? I don't know. All I can say is that taking into account the incredible amount of skinned mounts I see while playing, it looks to me like the price is not an issue. If it would be, we would not see that many. As for me personally, no change since last time I said it: I am happy to contribute to money income for Anet if it can keep GW2 - that is a continuous source of fun to me since years - going for some more years. So, my answer to OP is: No, I do not agree to boycott.
  6. Sorry, I do not follow you on that. I do not like underwater combat.I know that many players like it and would enjoy more UW content. I can understand that and would have nothing against it, as long as it remains something optional (not an activity mandatory to progression). So, as long as optional, it would be very much OK for me. I would not "touch" it. But I would hate being forced to an UW content.
  7. As said in a previous post, I have given up on crafting any of the Legendary Weapons for which I cannot buy the precursor. What made my decision was the Astralaria. I liked it much so I check the Wiki page about it (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Astralaria)... At first sight, I was like ... WOW! I then said to myself: "Come on, don't let it scare you, you have no time pressure, take it easy". So, I did not read in details to prevent losing the motivation. That's how I started. Collection I was more or less OK and done fast. Collection II ... LOL! I can still remember! I started with the Basic Axe Requisition: 750 mithril + 500 elder wood for only one item. I got scared. So, before to go on further, I checked in details the other items and for me it became clear: No way. I am a casual player with not much playing time due to busy real life. This incredible list of stuff would have meant months, if not years. At the top of it, the warrior who would have used it is a toon I use very rarely, so really, it was not worth the long work. Now even if I chose to abandon, my personal opinion is still that there must be something like that in the game. You know what I mean? Such a "close to impossible" stuff that needs patience and work until we can reach it, if at all, and that remains an "out of the norm" rewarding, sort of "The Ultimate". Also, since legendary weapons are not mandatory to the game play, nobody is forced to it so there is no harm done if we cannot get one. Our progression and playing will not be stuck in any activities due to that. That way, it remains a wonderful optional thing to have, however at big costs and big efforts, and I believe it is good so.
  8. I am lazy (oh yes... B) ). I do not want to go via collections. For all my legendary weapons, I bought the precursors. Counterpart: I can't get Legendary Weapons having an ascended precursor, because the only method for them are the collections and I do not feel for that. So, of course, for me personally, I would have preferred that both methods (buying or collecting) remain available for all precursors, so that players keep having a choice. What laziness can do... :3
  9. Most of the time, yes.First, I am a slow learning player. It means that I need time at things to become good at them. So, even nowadays I keep learning and progressing. Already thanks to that, I am always learning new and progressing, what I find very rewarding.Aside of this, thanks to my activities, I have a daily gold income varying between 10 and 20 gold, even more once in awhile. As a veteran player, compared to what were my earnings during old times, I find that very rewarding on a daily basis. Then: In term of golds, there are the meta events, WvW, fractals and such.In term of points, there are the loads of achievements available that I will probably never achieve to complete in a lifetime! In term of fun: I am a commander and this is a "job" that I love to do and that is very rewarding on the fun and pleasure side. Aside of that, there are so many things I love to do and bringing fun to me. That's very rewarding too, the best being when I can do stuff with my friends. And the reason why I do not select "All the time"? Simply because nothing can be perfect. There are things I dislike, out of which some that I find real bad or even "hate". I try to avoid those, but it is not always possible when they are mandatory to progress further. Also, regularly, I can be pretty upset and frustrated, and in such moments, my love for the game gets a bit down... ROFL.
  10. Two things would interest me, that don't exist at all for now. Both would be add to home instance: I would love to be able to buy decoration like colored lights, balloons, and so on... That would be especially welcome by players like me who have no GH because guild can't get one. We could decorate our home.I would love to buy animals with gems, becoming constant add to our home, like the hungry cats. Our home could then serve as a little Menagerie, like the one we had from original GW. It was so nice.
  11. What I like: The huge size of the new world. Mounting.New foes.New plants and materials.New hunts & JPs.That there are many different ways to obtain mastery points. What I dislike: Once more, no equality between professions: Casters (light armor) have it a lot harder to manage. Nothing valuable done to mitigate motion sickness troubles at mounting. The tons of dismounting at every little actions. No progress saving inside storyline instances although they are long and heavy, with lot of blabla sequences. When will checkpoints be added?Foes too hard (too long aggro range & too fast respawning) and many non-sense overcrowding. The breakdown of the BLT market due to sudden easy farming of orichalcum and ancient saplings. There are no more "rare" nodes. Not enough green landscape to my taste. But well, it is a logic in Elona.
  12. I was playing without any problems yesterday and earlier today. Now, hardly 2 hours later, I can't enter the game anymore. I can login, type auth. code, the interface window (for toons selection) appears, but it remains white and it never goes further. I don't even get an error code. I just remains white. Anyone else? Edited for update: Issue is over for me. I waited about one hour, tried again, and everything is back to normal.
