  1. the ability that goes in the same slot as the 5th weapon skill, directly to the left of the health orb.
  2. Wait, no, if this was true then my #4 ability on my weapon skills would have the same problems as I do with Depth Charges. Or I would be having the same problem on my mounts as I do on my skiff. They're clearly 3 different things on some level. Also my #5 on mounts is rebound to a different key, so why is my skiff #5 working fine?
  3. I am having very similar problems. I don't really wanna be left hanging for literal months when it comes to knowing what I need for my next major project, but I also don't want to work on other things and then regret it down the road because I need things that I just spent and are more difficult to get. I think a lot of people are holding off pre-ordering until we get an answer on runes/relics, and I think that's frankly pretty reasonable.
  4. As for the new stuff being released yesterday, patches and updates are generally put in a pipeline on Friday nights before the Tuesday they're scheduled to launch, we learned this during the fiasco that was the appalling patch of 28 June, 2022. That's functionally automated, but I'm sure that some support staff were still in the offices doing their jobs, as you can't just abandon a game like this for 4 straight days and expect to come back to anything other than a heap of slag. Personally I'm excited for a.) a return to core Tyrian stuff, b.) answers about the Wizard's Tower finally and the opening of the door to maybe solving other long-standing mysteries (some of which were mothballed or semi-retconned potential future storylines, like Malik's Tree if you played Sylvari), and c.) Open World Leggie Armor. I absolutely understand and to a certain extent agree with holding off on making those leggie runes until we know more, frankly I'm advising everyone to just start hoarding mats and gold for now (while ignoring that advice myself, still making leggie weapons because I'm addicted now), but I am definitely pre-ordering the expansion. I won't tell you to of course, because that's for each person to decide themselves, and outside of GW2 I am firmly opposed to pre-ordering any game throughout the entire industry right now given how egregious business practices that involve pre-orders and pre-order bonuses have gotten over the last decade.
  5. Nope, this makes complete sense, I stand corrected.
  6. Today would be the first day they'd be back from that, and I'm not sure we should expect an update before the...is the balance update patch coming the 18th? Whenever that patch is. If they really had nothing in the pipeline they first need to actually put together proposed solutions and ensure that they can actually deliver them. Or...you wind up with waiting how many years for Alliances?
  7. Yeah it's my general complaint with the level 80 boosts that come with the expansions, because I agree with you wholeheartedly. If there is a valid reason for it, I can't think of it.
  8. free. filter. buff. use it. Unless you're doing the meta itself, then I recommend springing for the bottom option in the list that recharges when you open chests. Personally, it's my favorite meta in the game right now, if a bit long.
  9. This is, ultimately, a UI issue, and the idea of 1 key triggering multiple things assumes the possibility of being both mounted and driving a skiff at the same time. A simple(ish) solution would be letting us rebind the keys on our skiff like we can on our mounts. Spaghetti code being what it is, I imagine that undoing the fundamental issue of "two things bound to the same keystroke" is prohibitively difficult, but being able to reassign keys on any given hotbar independently would be great. Having a different one for each different mount would even be awesome...if difficult. Skiffs clearly don't use the same skillbar as mounts, or combat, so being able to adjust them through options seems like the most reasonable and realistic solution.
  10. Tell ya what, when they actually implement this in a way that directly reflects what you just said I'll admit I was wrong. But I have lost count of the number of times they've announced some feature well in advance, and made significant adjustments to it based on player feedback both before and after it was implemented. I don't really expect this time to be any different, so shouting "liar" at the top of your lungs is not only premature but downright childish.
  11. That answer was 'crap' because there was nothing concrete yet, literally all they had that they could put out to the public was "we're aware and we're working on it." If you're telling me you've never dived in deep to a project that you were excited about and got to what you thought was the end, but only then discovered some potentially catastrophic ramifications as a result of your work, you're either lying or haven't actually done much. I respect people adding their voices to the conversation, I too am concerned about the utility being stripped from my leggie runes. But my response to the concerns that they'll somehow remove functionality from other leggies is this: how could they do that? Without completely overhauling the equipment system through the entire game, or a complete overhaul of stat sets like when they got rid of magic find as a gear stat, there's no realistic way to split apart any other leggie and spread its effects over more items like has happened here, only Runes have the level of multi-tier interaction and dependency with the variety of effects that they do. And finally, if we look at the trajectory of their development methods over the last couple of years we see a trend of making the game and leggies in general more accessible and user friendly, not less. Now, if we could get some movement on actual accessibility features like color blind modes and such, that'd be great. They're behind...I think every other MMO on that front.
  12. There's a whole lotta angst in here that's ignoring the fact that @Rubi Bayer.8493 posted in this very thread about how they were aware of our concerns and were in the process of developing suitable compensation for us. Until we know what that's gonna be, we all needa chill.
  13. Yeah it's alright, I truly meant no disrespect but I also didn't process it as an accessibility issue at first. I was processing it as a QoL complaint, so I was a little flippant about it. I also really was curious about exactly what problems people were having with it, as I have rebound all of my Utility and Elite skill keys (not Heal), and rebound the mount skills on the weapon bar side, aside from the first ability. On mounts, I have zero issues with skills not working properly, but I do wonder if my rebindings are the reason that I cannot use Depth Charges on Skiff using the 4 key (which is what it displays), and have to manually click it.
  14. Is this related to why I can't use Depth Charges on Skiff with my 4 key, and have to manually click that skill?
  15. I honestly wasn't counting that because it was free, not a sale, and only if you were playing during the relevant times.
  16. Things are also taking so long because WvW is the mother, father, sister, daughter, brother, dog, 3rd cousin, and weird uncle of all spaghetti code.
  17. Not on the individual Living World Season's. Only on the expansions and the giant bundle that also includes the Seasons.
  18. If you just purchased the expansions, I would recommend contacting support and asking for a refund since you "purchased the wrong item" and then buy the gigabundle on sale right now for $80 USD. Otherwise, buying the Seasons as the bundles is the best way to go, I can't remember if the LWS4 price will modify since you already possess an episode, but I am inclined to say it does? Very rarely the bundles go on sale, and while people are saying that they might be on sale at the end of August my instincts say that this isn't that likely. That's also 2 months away, so you have to ask yourself if a possible 20-30% discount is worth waiting 2 months on. Furthermore, Season 2 is an interesting beast. I think having it is important to better understand HOT's story, and it provides 8 more Central Tyrian Mastery Points (more if you do collections that are associated with it) so it can be very useful to cap out your Central Tyrian Masteries, but otherwise it is the most expensive of all of them and doesn't provide much if any material benefit aside from the Mastery Points. Oh, I think Season 2 also gives you a home instance chest/node of some kind? Can't remember properly.
  19. That is an absolutely valid point, and in my opinion general accessibility features are where Anet fails the hardest. We don't even have a colorblind mode for the UI after all.
  20. If we delay everything else until we get a WvW update, we'll never get anything ever again.
  21. Assuming that the Ferocity is part of the 6th slot bonus being moved over, then you're correct. However, the wording of their announcement is a little ambiguous on that front and I'm not sure what that is going to look like when all is said and done.
  22. "This will be the first set that doesn’t require heavy investment into raids or competitive experiences—instead, the various crafting components come from open-world gameplay in Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure." While, in fairness, it says it doesn't require heavy investment, which does not necessarily preclude the idea of any investment, the implication is that it will truly be open world (maybe with some engagement with new instanced content coming out for the armor collections?) but yes it could still require some investment. I doubt it will require anything from raids specifically at all, or currency grinding from any of the relevant modes, but it does leave the door a little open. That smacks of them not having actually nailed down which potential route they're going to end up with.
