  1. I dunno if I'm weird on this one but I'm at a point where I'm 160 gold and like 570k karma away from being able to finish a Leggie both of which I have with plenty of comfort, but I need ~170 more spirit shards.
  2. 1, legendaries 2, spirit banners which are 25 per (yes, I bought way too many of them a long time ago) 3, gen 3 precursors. For a while I was able to net 100-120 gold profit per precursor and it was 50 spirit shards to make one which works out to like 2 to 2.4 gold per spirit shard. 1000 Imperial favor though which is the real pain there for most people.
  3. I've been playing since about 30 days after launch. You don't get much more 'veteran' than me, and I clearly care.
  4. Yup, until you said it I didn't realize it. It's good information and I thank you for it. I still maintain, however, that there is no reason to not put the buff you get in Arborstone and Wizard's Tower in other places. Wizard's Tower in particular has a very long load time for me for some reason so parking characters there is highly inconvenient in my case.
  5. I wouldn't call earning Spirit Shards 25% faster in open world - where a lot of players play almost exclusively - minimal.
  6. You ever read a response to your post and think "Holy hell how did I miss that?" This has just happened to me. Mind you, I still think that the Resting bonus should be in all of the cities and lounges, but this does shift the dial on the "this is a problem"-ometer.
  7. I disagree with overexaggerating, but I would accept "unnecessarily complete".
  8. It makes earning spirit shards through open world pve 25% faster, that's roughly one infinity percent better than the gold find AA purchase, which is in fact a complete joke.
  9. For the life of me I cannot imagine why we could not receive the Resting/Well Rested bonus from the Arborstone mastery track while in capitol cities and Lounges. Unless it's a really spaghetti code level of a problem, it seems to me like it actively kills the benefits of leaving characters in both lounges and the cities, which actively reduces population and interaction in said areas. The Lounges are one thing, but reducing player populations in the home cities seems counter-productive, as it reduces the interactions between newer players and veterans of the game when those newer players could really use that interaction sometimes. In short, can we please get the Arborstone Resting bonuses in Cities and Lounges? We already get it in the Wizard's Tower as well.
  10. Is that value going to be tied to the rarity of your mainhand weapon?
  11. I would love some confirmation on this, if we're even on the right track.
  12. @Fueki.4753 I agree, however it doesn't explain what the value is that they're going to be using for those calculations. If you go look at weapon strengths on the wiki there's not "one weapon strength", there are a ton based on rarity, some with variances. So what value are we pulling from that table, if that's even the right place to be looking?
  13. "Profession skills that are not dependent on your equipped weapon will now default to the hammer weapon's strength." I cannot parse what this means or what value we're talking about at the end of the day, can someone enlighten me? @Rubi Bayer.8493?
  14. I may have helped turn this into a conversation about Anet's general failure to account for accessibility needs, but I think it's a necessary conversation to keep having until they listen.
  15. SAG-AFTRA is striking a number of game companies, list is here: https://www.sagaftra.org/sag-aftra-national-board-votes-unanimously-send-interactive-media-video-game-strike-authorization It makes me realize that I don't know if Anet and NCSOFT do their voice work in-house or if they're contracted through a third party. Just trying to see if GW2 is going to be impacted by the strike. And yes, I'm aware that the article simply states that SAG-AFTRA has authorized a vote on a strike, but word now is that the vote has passed and the strike is underway.
  16. Yeah I'm gonna second this. I don't have these kinds of problems but my spouse absolutely does, and even without those problems it still took me a good 5 attempts to actually succeed at it because of how little time it gives you. In fact, can we please work on accessibility across the board? How in the name of all the gods do we still not have a colorblind mode?
  17. Are we not supposed to get a patch today to give us a second round of pve dailies? There's not a whole lotta hours left before reset for them to do this...
  18. Little early to ask this imo, but it's absolutely an expansion. The only thing it's missing is new elite specs, but considering the fact that it's bringing us the option to use any of the elite spec weapons on a character regardless of their current elite spec, I consider that a fair tradeoff. Also class balance has got to be getting hard. Pros: New stuff! Also legendary armor and legendary relics coming soon as part of it. Ley line and updraft on skyscales and griffons is gonna be awesome. Cons: Fix the friggin daily login system. Only having 3 things we can do and being screwed if we don't like/can't do any of them is awful.
  19. Don't think they're random, but players who choose different game modes will have different options from each other. For instance, my spouse chose wvw and pve, I chose only pve, and we didn't share any daily achievements despite both having pve as one of our game mods. Our weeklies are also very different on the same wavelength. However, I compared my dailies/weeklies to someone on the far side of the world who also had pve only selected, and we had the exact same dailies/weeklies. Generally, could really use clarification. Yeah this part is utterly awful. Fix this. I like all of your solution suggestions.
  20. Please refer to the Spring 2023 Studio Update: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/studio-update-spring-2023/ It helps answer your questions. To sum up however, they're completely changing their content production model as a studio. Average of 1 expansion a year instead of every 2 to 4 years, with content coming out in stages. They'll be smaller in scale and replace the Living World model completely. As for why: more steady and reliable income stream is very good for them. Devs gotta eat, Anet has to keep NCSOFT from getting grouchy with them, so on and so on. And for people complaining about the content or lack thereof, we haven't actually seen it yet, so take a deep breath and let's see what actually comes down the pipe. And yeah, there's gonna be stuff that needs to be fixed when it first comes out. There always is. And it usually gets fixed.
  21. Been here since about 21 days after launch. Still love it, love most of the changes they've made over the years (setting aside some pretty awful balance missteps). Things change, rare is the game that receives constant live support and stays unchanged over 10 years. For one thing most players get bored of it and the game dies.
  22. Skar has been doing some amazing covers of GW2 songs, at least one of which has been sponsored by Anet directly, I would love to see them added into the game world somewhere!
