Exitlag and other VPN
codedbykush.2019 replied to Vegeta.2563's topic in Account & Technical Support
What proof are you asking -
Adding CS response: They replied saying my account has been compromised with a third party gaining access to the account. Asked me to reset the password, I did with a far stronger one. Asked me to add MFA, which I already have. In terms of Exitlag or similar software, "We are aware that many of our players that connect from outside North America use ping-lowering proxy services to reduce their latency. While we do not expressly prohibit the use of these services, we advise our customers to use them at their own risk. The account may be blocked and subject to review especially if the proxy you use has a history of suspicious activity." Final take: Arena Net servers may flag our accounts for using these VPNs and at the end of the day, better safe than sorry.

Exitlag and other VPN

You have made a lot of assumptions about how I checked my password strength, how the gamer data packet tunnel works and my area of expertise. Some of the subject matter you're trying to discuss are decades old and pretty basic. That's all I can say on a gaming forum. -
Exitlag and other VPN

Well, I didn't type in my exact password, I use typed something in a similar pattern. I'm a bit smarter than to not to trust any online service. I understand what you meant. -
Exitlag and other VPN

I can see two issues. 1. IPs used by Exitlag might get flagged for various reasons including spam, fraud, etc. 2. Guild Wars 2 security sweep aren't properly set for the use of gaming data tunneling. -
For Gawd sake, Please help.

Revenant is the most versatile and strongest class to clear through content with minimum need for specific gear. However, having a good build can make or break your solo gameplay into HoT maps, e.g. I ran with Soldier gear with Jalis and Shiro specs. The survivability of Jalis combine with Soldier gear helped me clear the HoT story missions with ease. However, you are not expected to solo hero points. Those are definitely for group play and look for commanders running HP trains on LFG. Once you're able to unlock renegade spec, you can solo almost anything. -
Exitlag and other VPN

My account was blocked for security purposes and I do use Exitlag to connect to NA from China. In the support ticket, the CS team said my password has been compromised and a third party have gained access to my account and asked me to add 2FA. The issue is my password takes 2 million years to crack (security.org), I already have 2FA AND I use Dashlane premium to generate passwords. Edit: I wrote to Exitlag about the issue and their response was hilarious. "I'm Anderson from ExitLag support team. You are the first person to notify this issue. We provide for several users of the same game, if it was a general problem, we would be aware" P.s. I work in the cybersec field. -
For a long time, devs failed to introduce some of the most important game mechanics like crowd control - CC - breaking the blue bar to the general gamer community. If people knew and cared to break the blue bar, most fights would be much faster, even though there are some occasions where a slow break would have a strategic difference. While content creators and communities like Raid Academy try to do a good job with training, most gamers opt-in "monkey" or greed DPS than actually contributing to the boss fight. I hope devs try to understand the casual player transition from easy strikes to difficult ones then to raids and add more engaging content.

In the reply to me, the CS team said that my account was compromised and they decided that I should change my password and add MFA to my account. The issue is I have already a very strong password, 2FA with SMS verification. According to security.org, it would take 2 million years to crack my password. What I'm trying to say is that, according to the response I got, my VPNs were not the response of their security sweep. I'm going to inquire about the VPNs soon.

Expansions didn't introduce raids. They came with Living World Seasons. I would like to see new raid wings and also harder strikes as entry into raiding.

Connecting from mainland China
codedbykush.2019 replied to King ov Hell.6309's topic in Account & Technical Support
I'm in China and I am able to connect to NA/EU without any issue. However, the ping and packet loss can be extreme at times. I used a gamer VPN to connect to the NA servers for the last 2 years. However, I got blocked for security purposes and I heard several people who use Exitlag also got blocked. Waiting for the CS team to reply to my ticket. -
I use Exitlag to reduce ping from my geolocation to NA servers for the last 2 years. Yesterday, I suddenly got blocked with the message "This account has been blocked for security purposes." Does anyone else experience any sudden blocks? I created a support ticket and I haven't got any reply from support as of yet.
