  1. Lol i now understand more and more what people in other big forums write about ppl in this forum. I am out of line by making a suggestion - lol - sorry what a community. I now understand why so few people even use this forum - and i think i will stop using it as well.
  2. Looking at the prices in the Gemstore the game is monetized too much already ... I will never understand why ppl will even go as far as to suggest a company to take even more money from them ...
  3. Its a pain to read your posting and you dont even seem to understand what ive wrote. For example there was a long time where the game had the issue and many ppl didnt even know because they could still login. I dont even understand what your point is? I do understand. You for some reason need more communication. You need it to be on the forums which it was but also the launcher and other places so I listed 8 ways to hit me up for anet as sarcasm My point is it is the same process everytime. There is a crash/error on the servers that creates log in issues. Then we run on the forums and alert anet. Then anet posts we are aware. Then they diagnose it. Then perform maintenance to fix it. The whole time they tell us every step of the way. It's a pain to have to separate stuff because you can't read a paragraphOk you are trolling i'm going to ignore you from now on.

  5. The past few weeks have shown a lot of issues with the servers but also with communication creating more frustration that necessary. Here are some suggestions: Information Channels: use all Channels so that everyone knows whats up fastThe Launcher has to have the News - otherwise most ppl get random error codes and have no idea whats going on maybe even trying to fix their own router ...The Main Website should also have such messages in the News until they are fixedInformation: The Information given should be useful - even if its not perfectly correct it can be updatedThe information given was pointless - it also came way to late and way to unfrequent - tell your community if the issue seems big or small, maybe even what it is to some extent and a random eta (short downtime, longer downtime expected etc.) - communication is keyCommunication Methods: never and i repeat never have all stuff on the same server and affected by the same issuesFor example the last server issues also were account issues so ppl werent able to write/sometimes access the Forums for help this shouldnt happenatonement Gifts:this is always a good idea it creates goodwill with the consumers and ensures long time support BUT: try to avoid to split the community by gifts that are given out rather random give them to all that were affected by the downtime or to no one but not to a selected few this just creates angry customersA suggestion how it could have been handled: give a random mount licence to everyone that logged in or tried to log in the past 4 days (EU-Servers) - this should be 99% of the ppl affectedlets be honest the mount licences are pretty expensive anyways and rather cheap to produce so giving out a random mount licence is a great gift - ppl will probably not get exactly what they want - therefore not reducing future sales - still they get something niceFrom my point of view most of the bad reaction of players weren't result of the actual server problems but of the way the problems were handled.
  6. I do agree that the way this has been done was not perfect - it would probably have been way better if they just had given anyone that logged in within the last 5 Days a 400 Gem random Mount ticket etc. But some people here are over the top and the statements just get absurd. Lets be honest - most ppl that didn't login after they heard didn't do that because the only reason of their existence is to help ArenaNet and the GW2 Servers but simply because they were afraid to loose even more stuff etc. - sorry but some posts are almost getting comical. Also people attacking people who just logged in as absurd aswell - so are the comparisons with Corona etc. - reality is most people just logged in like they usually do - there was no indication of anything in the launcher and - lets be honest - nobody checks twitter the forums etc. before every login - not to mention that there was a long time without any message. I did login aswell - there was no notification of any problem - the only indication i really saw was after some time i thought - am i crazy or do i miss tons of loot from my last run - so i started asking arround and found out about the issue after some time. At that point there was no official message and nobody knew what would happen - some thought the game would just continue and the progress was lost - others thought maybe they will reload a backup if this is even possible etc. So yes if i didnt get it i would be mad aswell and i think they didnt handle this whole situation very good (almost no information, and the little we got was pretty late) - not to mention this rather random gift. I think they should have just given everyone that logged in within the last 5 days before the shutdown a 400 gem random mount - that would probably barely lost them future sales - and 99% of the ppl would have been pleased and it would have created goodwill. Also they should have communicated way more with the community - what was happening, and what they were trying to do etc. @Kulvar.1239"ANet made it crystal clear what they want people to do if something happen again in several years : log in massively to the point of saturating the servers." Lets stop pretending this was only about helping the Servers - the main reason was ppl beeing afraid of loosing even more by logging in. And lets be realistic, there was a rollback - the servers were running. It wouldnt have made any difference if more ppl logged in - how exactly did not loggin in help the Servers or Arenanet - in reality it was just about ppl beeing afraid of loosing more personal stuff - which is perfectly fine. I'm really sorry but i just cant stand all that postings that read like this forum is full of the nicest most selfless people on earth that never think about anything but others ... - especially when they after not getting a gift suddenly become the first people to mainly think about themselves. Yes this wasnt handeled great but people didnt login because they were afraid to loose their stuff - not because their sole existence is about helping GW2-Servers and Arenanet. And people who logged in were not selfish - there was no indication that something was wrong - and no no normal person checks twitter etc. before every login - and yes there never was a message in the launcher. But yes they should handle this differently.
  7. Sorry but this was the next bad decision after failing to actually communicate with the community. The server was down for hours - there was no information on the launcher, the information was late in general and the information we got was pretty much worthless because it didn't contain any real information. Now giving some people a 1200 Gem-Item and not others was the next bad move that will lead to even more frustration - especially since - to be honest - most of the gemstore items are overpriced anyhow. They should have just given everybody that wasn't able to play a 400 gem random mount item and be done with it. That would have cost them almost nothing since making a mount-skin doesn't cost much money in the first place.
  8. I haven't played the game for a while but recently started to play a bit. One of the most frustrating things in GW2 right now - besides problems that seem to still exist (hats that remove all hair; bugs in the story, problems in the story when playing coop) is the Gem-Store. The store seems to get some rotation every day - mostly items get prolonged or 1-2 items get added. Many items seem to only be avaliable once to twice a year - the gemstore barely seems to change for weeks. I tend to play for a few weeks/months and then take a pause so it is almost impossible to get the items i would want - even if i play daily for weeks or months there is almost no rotation in the gemstore. I do realize this is about - Artificial scarcity - but as it is in this gemstore its just absurd. By having Items only twice a year rather random you don't make more people buy it you make less people buy it because no one even knows when its on the store and most people at some point loose interest. So why not make Gemstore-Rotations in a way that all items will be in the store at least once over the course of 3-4 Months? Why not make more sales - especially for items that are really old and would be cheaper in any normal store (like for example old Living-World-Content)? Also i do realize that they need the gemstore to keep the servers running - but the prices ware just over the Top - 2000 Gems for a Mount, 800 for armor etc. are simply too high for what you actually get - why not make them a bit cheaper but add stuff more often? Black-Lion-Chests:But it gets even worse - there are rarely any discounts - and things don't get cheaper at all - for example living-season.Other stuff is even more frustrating - for example black-lion-chests. Years ago there was a good chance to get something out of them - which was good since many paid real money for the keys. These days there are so many Items in the RNG - especially almost worthless items - like revive-orbs, repair-canisters etc. there is no real point in buying or farming for keys anymore. OutfitsI don't like the whole concept of outfits but that's just my personal taste. But why not also sell all outfits as armor pieces? Yes there will be some clipping but there is a lot of clipping already and it doesn't really matter. Also this would create additional income for almost no extra work. Summary: rotation in Gemstore is way to slowBlack-Lion-Chests have too many bad Items in the RNGOutfits should also be sold in piecesAlso i can tell that many people probably think its too slow and that the Gemstore is rather boring now for months by simply looking at the Gem-to-Gold conversion rate which is pretty low. They didnt even bother to change anything in the gemstore yesterday ...
  9. I would still use Win7 if MS didnt force everyone on their new way worse OS. Since ppl werent changing to win10 even when it was for free MS found another way to ppl by making new hardware incompatible ... MS is taking away more and more control of its users which is awful. The only issue is that there are no more security updates - on the other hand its not like new hardware or software is secure anyways - and looking at the loss of control in windows 10 its not like the user has control anyhow ... Sadly once you move to new hardware you have no choice - i hope MS getting worse and worse will push other OS for gaming. If there was any OS that would be supported as well as MS for gaming i would switch within a second. I dont use Windows 10 because i want to - but because i was forced to.
  10. You mean like they fixed the hats that make every char in this game go bold since years?
  11. How about actually adding rotation to the store - the store is pretty much selling the same items now for weeks - with a few new items ... Also how about fixing the bald-hats and how about selling armor parts of outfits as parts ...
