I had a bit of a problem with ths one. I kept on checking in and eventually was successful when there were a number of others around. Couldn't complete it solo even though I took a lot out of her health bar.

Hi. I guess it's from the diving platform in Prospect valley. I TP'd to a friend and successfully did the dive. No award for the Return to Living World Season 2 achievements. Someone else who made it to the top by just jumping up also had the same problem (we chatted on the diving platform about it - he had also successfully dived). Am I in the right place?

Ranger is good especially if you become untamed and utilize the ambush skills. It's like have a medic by your side. Plus some of your pets are good with defiance breaks, converting conditions to boons etc. I also tried to max vitality. My health (the big red blob centre bottom screen) is 30K whether it's longbow or hammer.

I want to finish the Dragon Response MP. I've been waiting for the dailies (every 4 days) and I'm up to 23 missions but it is such a hit and miss affair as to who shows up. I can't find anything on the LFG. That is, 'looking for other similar players'. Cental Tryia perhaps? Can anyone point me to the right place? Thanks

For me it has become so boring doing the dailies. I think I had this canta armoury thing 3 times this week or that canta ghost thing keeps popping up. I did it but can't be bothered two days later. And how many break bars do I want to keep breaking so soon after another. My dailies now seem to revolve around the refuge camp in Amnon (complete a task and loot) and the bandits in Queensdale (perform a dodge, loot, combo). I logged on tonight and thought I can't be bothered so I logged out. I love the game but my interst in waning. PS. The wizards chest is a good idea. The execution is not!

I had the same problem - I did not want to do fractals. However I joined the 'looking for groups' 'all welcome' fractals (others seem completely condescending about newbies). At first nothing dropped and I didn't realise the spoon dropped from mobs. So I played about 10 and then suddenly I'd completed it cos I looted everying I killed. It is not so hard top achieve. I bought 4 Antique summoning stones this morning, I didn't sell them as they were only 2g 60s (though I normally would if they are above 3g), now they have disappeared from my inventory. I checked my bank account just in case I put them in there. I checked last tranactions in the Trading Post. Nothing shows up. I can't buy any more this week as I have used up my quota. Yet I only bought them today after the weekly reset. I even checked my other characters just in case! Has anyone else experienced this today or can shed some light on it? I'm raising a ticket with support and will post updates if any,

SOTO is good for an expansion. It sets the scene for, hopefully, things to come because there were only two maps (not including Wizard's Tower which is a commercial hub). However I loved what maps there were and the amazing graphics. I did like the end game where you battled the boss but it didn't go on and on pointlessly like some other end boss fights. Good touch. I note that people gripe about the wizard's vault. It's basically a good idea because of the reward structure. What is bad is it takes away some of the fun of the old daily structure. For example, you were occassionally asked to participate in events in Dragon's Stand. Without those dailies I could wait there normally hoping enough people would turn up to start the event - just to be disappointed and move on. Daily events were good. Or, for example, how many times would you be asked to do a particular jumping puzzle and a friendly mesmer would be there to help out. It gave you a sense of community feel. The daily now seems to be focussed on places I didn't want to go to (Canta - boring) or doing things like break an opponents defiance bar or kill x amount of enemies etc. I don't care about the gold award reduction, it was the fun element and there were options. For instance, if you did not want do Flaming Tendrils you could do events in Fields of Ruin. Re: the Skyscale path. It would have been nicer if the new features were added as a bonus to those who already have a Skyscale - after all we did some hard graft to get one. So for those who have just started you get the normal Skyscale in SOTO and then get the new features. For those of us that have a Skyscale you start adding the additional features to your existing masteries. Kind of a reward for long service and loyalty. So a general thumbs up for SOTO but with some major reservations.

Is there a quick way to kill a Veteran Supervisor or must you wait 5 minutes?

I used to sell them to get gold until I started making legionary equipment (after 5 years playing!). So do what ever you want. They are always a quick source of ready cash!

Fishing is a total waste of time here and to what rewards? A long time ago I used to fish in Star Wars Galaxys. It was as it should be. A relaxing fish by the river bank and you could hang trophies on your walls. In GW2 it is a stupid left right quick quick slow exercise. I gave up. And don't get me started on skiffs or turtles. A complete waste of space. Makes me shy away from the next expansion until I hear good feedback

I gave the restructuring another chance tonight. Pure bedlam! Chickens running around chasing their own heads. Others (like me) trying to work out a new map cos of the load, cos I usually play just the two, EBG and Alpine. No cohesion, no identity, nothing to fight for. The beta blurb talks about forthcoming guild alliances. But for who? JUst strong guilds who specialize in wvw? I am really not enjoying this much. Just a lone voice in the darkness but I am sitting out wvw until after the dust has settled

I've started playing wvw the last few months after being a PvE player for 3 years. I was enjoying it. You could instantly identify with your side because of the server. Now the identity is lacking. I am in a guild of a 100+ but it is old and few active players. OK so join a new one. However the server scenario gave us an instant identity. SO for my vote - I don't like the restrucuring

Do you have any idea of the cost for mirroring servers? Who cares, they should be prepared for situations like this. Who cares? That's rich. I would imagine that they are as prepared for something like this as much as they are financially able to be while still making target profit numbers for their investors. What is essentially being advocated here by mirroring is having double the servers with real-time data transactions between the two sets. That is not cheap.So I suppose if your bank went offline with no backup you wouldn't mind? This might be a game to you, maybe mega funds and can afford a setback, but to a lot of people here it is a serious issue. Why play if you will lose progress? This is one of the things that make it enjoyable. Getting to the next level, finding that elusive armor no-one else has. Many of us had a weekend wiped out. OK it can be redone. But the principle remains. Over to you :)

I just want to play! I was doing Mesmer start quests cos I recently bought the upgrades and could have a fully unlocked Lv 80 player. Was unlocking an area (decided to work through maps with this character). Went for a convenience break and less than 2 minutes later... POW! back where I was a few days ago. Ho hum.

Basically there should be mirror servers and back-ups so restore is possible (if not, then WTF are you doing). Yes , a major glitch happened, yes, if they had the back-up in place there should not be a problem (though an inconvenience for a little while), but they have to see what triggered the event, crash, whatever you describe it. BUT take the game offline until it is sorted!
