Like the others said it's most likely a Antivirus Issue i'm having the same issue with AVG. The funny thing however is i did whitelist it but AVG also flags the installer as having a virus sometimes. So i'm starting to wonder if something else is wrong on my pc. I did a complete system check with multiple tools including CMD. So i wonder if the problem will return

That does sound like the Anet way, either by updating the home instance and making it more personal and giving players to edit it or creating a home instance outside of the racial cities. But knowing Anet their way of creating something like it would be instance based and based on stuff they've already made in the past of the game. Care to elaborate?

Is it though because there are a lot of topics on the forum about the subject, all with their own ideas about how it should work, be it renting or instances or updating the home instance. So if people keep mentioning it, bringing it up and inventing ways how it could work and people keep agreeing with it then perhaps those people are the majority. The Naysayers just give very long explanation about why they think it's a bad idea but I don't believe they are the majority. Perhaps most people are skeptical that is something I could believe but not that the majority is against it

I remember a few topics about it and almost everyone agreed that it would be a good idea. But I think you're right that we would have to wait a long time if it's ever going to happen. I think it would be a great way to update the home instance as well because for a home instance some of them feel more like a home neighborhood than your actual home. Not sure how they could update it tho but it could use a update after 9 years other than smashing it full of nodes

I don't mind Renown hearts in EoD but not as much as in core Tyria because the only reason I always postpone world completion as the last task for creating a legendary is because I utterly hate most of the renown hearts. Sure there are some fun ones but a lot of them take up so much time and aren't that much fun once you've already done them before. So after reading this discussion I think it makes sense for the maps to have some hearts or dynamic occurrences that change the map permanently for the player. Just as long as they aren't repeatable and not tedious meaningless tasks.

Understatement of the year, it's not just that you don't agree with us but that you can't understand(or refuse to admit) that there is a portion of players that would love this feature. Not judging though, it's just funny to see that you're so convinced of your own truth that you dismiss everyone who doesn't see it your way

I don't think they'll add something like this anytime soon, even though I'd really like a feature like this. Something to give your characters a bit more of a personal touch. Because let's be honest the "Commander" has become a bit of a killing machine with nothing more in his life besides killing dragons and god's.. not that there's anything wrong with that but some players like a bit more RPG in their MMO. On the other hand it would be a nice way to make scribing a more useful profession and it could possibly be gem transaction cash cow. So there is definitely potential, but I'm very skeptical we will ever see it actually implemented.

When i first started playing my main was a human ranger, i chose it because i had the same name as my gw1 character. I liked to think it was his descendent. Then when heart of thorns came out i played a lot of Revenant. Nowadays my human warrior is my main, it had a name that is similiar to my ranger.

3 Years and it's still a great idea, i Really support this idea.I wish Anet would act upon it. Maybe unlock it with a achievement with Snargle Goldclaw that would be a nice touch. If they can give Snargle a bookcase in the Eye... Well one in the home instance for us wouldn't be so hard now would it.

The whole issue is strange, it doesn't really matter what kind of payment option you use, i tried my creditcard, a paysafecard and online banking none of them worked.
