I am absolutely loving that Griffon Skin. It was the first thing I bought with AA. This from someone who has not used my Griffon in years. The new skin motivated me to finally knock the dust and cobwebs off of it and actually learn to fly it. Thank you Anet. Having the Kryptis Skyscale skin available for AA would be a win.

The first time I did that meta I simply showed up a little late with no idea what to do. I died in banish, silly me, which requires a waypoint trip plus a bit of a trip to rejoin and still got102% completion. Every time since then, and have been doing alot more stuff to contribute, the highest I ever got was 73% and I was in at the start of the Meta. So no idea what's up with this.

I just saw that hotfix. At this point, anything to reduce the spam of it will help. Hopefully will help the smaller groups out. That last champ fight was brutal. , the three of us got hit with it almost constantly.

Yep. I tried it on a champ in an area that had a giant wall/column between two door openings. When I got the green circle of death, I ran and hid behind the wall/column until the debuff went off and my character took zero damage. Had to run behind the column repeatedly due to the champ relentlessly spamming the green ring-o-death. but escaped every debuff with zero damage. The other 2 (two) people fighting the champ and getting the green ring-o-death did not do this and kept hitting the ground... We did finally beat that champ.

Fighting Champions is zero fun. That one shot mechanic being spammed by the champ with no working counter and the ones that do have a counter for it does not work half the time is such bad design and implementation. Really???!!! A green circle indicates a stack or safe zone in the rest of the game. What happened here??? This green circle means death to anyone it touches. And after enduring respawn hell fighting a champ the rewards are trash. I can make more gold farming mats in Sparkfly Fen in less time it takes to kill a champ.

Same issue here. 3840x2160 resolution. DX11. EDIT: Yep unchecking DPI scaling does return character to the hero panel but those small menu windows on a big screen, uh, no thanks. Setting the game to DX9 and restarting the game "fixed" the issue for me.

Yep. Having the same issue. This started after one of the updates in August. Have never had this issue prior. Windows 10. Even tried closing game deleting the Local.dat file and restarting GW2. This did not fix it. After reentering the UID and PW with the save boxes ticked, still get this issue.

Scrapper is very good in Open World and Metas right now. Using Hammer or Rifle they get the job done. Invincible? No. That was nerfed to Oblivion in the spring of this year. Better Firebrand? My Firebrand says "No". Interesting, in Open World Meta groups I am the only Scrapper more times than not. So if it is really that good, why is it not the only class people play? Asking for a friend... Great bait post tho.

I can get a sort of drift when turning at speed. Don't want to turn too hard or you will scrub off too much speed. A hot turn skill at speed would be interesting. I want to add water skiing/wakeboarding to the wish list, but I imagine that is where it will stay.

I love my skiff supercharger tier 3, so no it is not a waste of a slot for me. The boat mechanics in the game are a pretty good indicator of how a real boat behaves. There are no brakes on a boat. You throttle back well before where you wish to stop, as it is in game now. Real boats do not stop on a dime and the skiffs in GW2 mimic this behavior. So my vote is no for brakes. Now if I could have a total of three (3) jade bots hanging off the stern of the skiff providing MOAR POWAH, I would be in boating heaven. :P

The expansion has been out for going on 3 days. I am sure many players like me are still in story mode and are not gonna even play the meta until they finish story. Other peoples posts about how long it took to LEARN the previous metas upon their introductions should be noted. The older metas in this game have been run by a large portion of the player base so many times they have it down to a science and actually make running those metas easy. This will happen to the new meta as well. It will take a little time. That turtle will be there waiting for you, me and everyone to learn the meta. It is not going anywhere. EDIT: Please, Please, Please do what the commander for your group in the meta is telling you. If you don't do what they are asking then you are helping the meta to fail. To the person who tagged this post with confused, do everyone a favor and stay out of the meta. If you cannot understand my post then you are well under qualified to learn the meta.

Maybe reset will fix it. I hope so. Bitterfrost is one of the go to farms in this game. If they still are not there in the daytime sequence, may want to submit a support ticket.

At first, I really didn't like the fishing mini-game. Now that I have fished a bit more it is doable and am starting to warm up to it. I only have the first mastery in fishing but have discovered bait and lures tend to make fishing a bit better. Nice that a lure gives a 1 hour buff. Having spent a good deal of time in the past fishing in the real world, the game does illustrate how frustrating fishing can be. I view the mini-game slider bar as a decent representation of the time spent in fishing dealing with Snagged lines, Line breaks, Spit out hooks and Broken Tackle. Remember Bass Masters are pros and make it look way easier than it really is. I would like to be able to change the color of the bobber to something more visible. In real fishing, bobber colors run from red to white, orange, yellow, chartreuse and more. Just make color selection so the color impaired folks can pick a brighter color as well.

Have not been to Bitterfrost today. However, there will be no chest out during the nighttime sequence. Chest will only be out during the daytime.
