  3. What I think is hillarious that your idea is for a ranged class to jump down and give up the main advantage it has in that situation. It's just pulls that are stupidly designed, not the range class doing "ranged" stuff. No pull should work without a clear LoS. End of story.
  4. And I forgot that Return of Reckoning - the fan made version of Warhammer Online still exists. They always had a better system but it lacks dodge and a similar combat system.

  6. I'm having fun in Conan Exiles PvP, but I don't see any mmorpg out there with something similar to wvw before the patch broke it.

  9. And by strategy you mean putting 4 catas on a wall and bruteforcing into a keep because defensive siege can't hit you and if it hits, it won't hurt you. That's not exactly something what you need a brain for.
  10. I want to meet the person that thinks bruteforcing your way into a keep should be the #1 thing in this game mode.
  11. Since the latest patch the sight in EBG seems to have changed. When you are inside green keep, you can't see from the outer north mortar position to Aldon's Ledge anymore. It seems like the sight distance is halfed to what it was before which makes defending that tower even worse.
  12. As I said in another thread like this. - bring back Epidemic. Make it corrupt 10-15 boons and let the corruption spread to targets in a 20 radius. - give us a condition that punishes cleansing (similar to Unstable Affliction from WoW) that deals damage and silences the one cleansing. Give this to two melee classes not in the meta and to two "more caster" classes not viable in the meta. - give the spellbreaker bubble an additional effect that prevents healing inside the bubble
  13. One important point to mention because it's been not talked about much. There is still the thing of not taking keeps for an hour, because your blob is full of braindead people that feel the need to farm a bunch of randoms that try to contest and defend their keep. It never makes much sense but it still is the reality that this happens a lot on smaller/outnumbered servers that you find 10-15 people trying to fight off that boonball. This should be a working option not a "3 people and a dream" situation. This is were the whole keep design is lacking in all aspects and gives attackers another huge advantage

  15. Wait? You really think "Attacking" should be equal to "Defending"? In that case I won't even start a discussion. Of course a defender should always have, on equal numbers, a huge advantage. You don't need a keep if that isn't the case. And you still have too many advantages as an attacker. Placing of siege in or close to walls, walls as death traps for defenders, the option to block the way into the structure, etc. A defense isn't an open field fight and never should be one. A keep should be defendable with less than a zerg vs a full zerg. That's why Keeps and Castles and Fortresses exist. WvW always was a game about sieging.
  16. You must be very new to this game if you really think Defenders were at an advantage in any fight of the last 7 years. You sure that you played WvW before?
  17. Anet should. They did the same for people that made more than one legendary armor back in the day. A friend of mine builds her guild hall alone and she has farmed all those WvW stuff over the recent two years.
  18. The greatest fun of GW2 right now is to put three accounts into EBG, try to not get afk-kicked and play something else. Yes, dear bandwagoners, I do this just for you.
  19. The problem is that Anet can't enforce much. You can't stop transfering in times with 2 dozen alt accounts. So they basically had to make sure that all the accounts you own are on the same server. And you'll end up with new problems. What if a server really goes low on population because players just quit? Will you allow transfers? The whole system is very difficult and we know that players will get creative to avoid those restrictions. Anet should have taken away the incentives to transfer and the goal of being on the winning team. If I remember correctly there were a lot of great and stupid ideas from the playerbase to make transfering a really bad option. The whole "fun" the playerbase creates in WvW reminds me of the time when my brother had to "babysit" me, because my parents were working and school ended at 12. So he took me to the football field where him and his friends were playing for hours every day. Their team vote was "he and his two best friends in a team vs. the other kids". All the other kids were smaller, younger and worse at football. To make it less unfair I had to be on the other team, so they had one player more. So his 10y old sister and some 8-12y olds vs the 14y old boys. Oh the fun they had winning 27:0. Guess how this went in the long run? Nobody played with them anymore until they learned to make fair teams. The difference to those times is: Those 14y olds learned a lesson that GW2 players will never learn.
