  1. Sorry if I'm going to be a little rude, but this is the worst idea I've seen in a long time, congratulations. Do you have any idea what a change this would make to the game? Have you noticed that many of the items sold on TP revolve around legendary items? Materials T4, T5 and T6, mystic coins, amalgamated gemstones, antique summoning stones, even spirit shards have as one of their main purposes to be used in legendary, whether refining materials for higher tier or buying bloodstone shards. Or even Karma that is used to buy obsidian shards, or event currencies like HOT. Or Elegy Mosaic, which you get at some POF events. Or else map completion from HOT, POF or core game, which serves to make legendary. Do you realize the magnitude that this change would be? The devs would have to overhaul much of the game's reward system. You probably don't understand anything about economics or rewards in a game to create a thread like this. If you don't want to play the game then simply uninstall and stop playing.
  2. Same here, i need Electric Eel to open avid collection, but i abandoned this collection after spending more than 8 hours trying to get the fish, too much grind and boring
  3. Sorry buddy, but why the hell would elite specs be weaker than core builds???????? If it's an elite spec, it must be better. Also, it has a lot of interesting content and builds that you can create to play in pvp with other elite specs, buying the expansion will make you like the game even more. Another point, do you think devs work for free? Developing a game costs money, a lot of money. They have already given away ALL living seasons (return achievements and now ls 1) for free. What else do you want? You should be ashamed of yourself for creating such a topic. Anyway, Another cry baby topic on the forum. Open the wallet, buy the expansion and, before calling gw 2 p2w try a real p2w game before crying on the forum.

  5. First of all, I have to say that I already have the 3 legendary raid sets, so I don't need them. I totally agree with the idea of another pve armor, unfortunately some people don't have the possibility to get their legendary set and we can get annoyed and tell them to raid, but the fact is they won't raid. As I said in another thread, I agree with the idea, as long as it's a little challenging, with achievements like: "do a certain meta event without being hit by a certain skill, dodge skill x from boss y 10 times", etc.
  6. I've always been an open world player, the only moment I stopped was when I went to make my raid set, after that, I started playing open world again. I don't think it's weird to have 40% of your group as support, especially when you consider that support roles are becoming more and more common now. More specs can provide quickness/alacryty, and the trend (according to arenanet) is that more builds can provide these boons (like druid spirits and bs banners).
  7. Rewards on all EOD maps need a boost. I believe that if the rewards in case of failure in the DE meta were better, there wouldn't be so many complaints. I won't even talk about the new strike CM, this is a real joke. I don't need more LI today, so I'll just ignore the content and do the normal weekly strikes.
  8. True, most good squads already ask what is your role when you join. What's the problem? It's a question I think we always have to ask ourselves when joining groups: "How am I contributing here?" About organization, I don't think it's a complex event with great organization. If you think about it, the only thing you should know is which way your subgroup will go in the split, and CC, is that too much organization?
  9. I think we need more data: 1 - Are these 60% considering squads that reach the boss and fail due to time? 2- Are these 60% from squads at least with commander? Because if those numbers are from all maps open in DE, then the numbers are good. I still think this is not a hard meta, if all ppl do their job, it is super easy, even the dps check is super easy. If you do only auto attack + shades on scourge, you do much more than 10k dps, i didnt tested it but, considering Mechanist has confusion on auto, im sure if you spam only 1 on mecha you do more than 10k dps. Same for breakbar, anyone know how much is soo won breakbar size? Cuz im sure if at least 1/2 squad get emp and use it on CC bar, you break it
  10. I missed the meta just now on my alt. This is the second time I missed this meta. Our problem was lack of DPS, people didn't know what they were doing in the squad. By the way, most people don't know what they do in a squad: for example, I've seen commanders asked what the role of a certain player in the squad is and they really don't know what they are (quickness, alac, dps, bs, alac heal, druid , etc). Also, we failed because the DPS was too low, the people in the group really didn't care
  11. I think what is missing in this meta is a correction in rng only, maybe. Increasing the time or flexing mechanics will not increase the success rate.
  12. I did the meta twice today. As I hadn't done this meta yesterday, I decided to do it in the afternoon before the reset. Then I did the event on reset too. In the first one, it was a full pug random squad, we didn't have alac/quickness for all groups, there were 6 - I repeat -, 6 spellbreakers in the group (this caught my attention, and that's why I thought the dps would be low and we wouldn't go get). But, all the people followed the commander instructions and did their job, and we broke the 3 bars of CC. We finish the meta with 5 minutes left. After that I did a run with another commander, in that squad we had quickness/alac/might in every group, and a member of the arenanet devs was on the run to see how easy it was, well I don't remember but I think we're done the goal with 6 minutes left. I dont remember, but i think it is my 22° meta in a roll with success. And im not doing with hardstuck/raid group. Just doing with groups that know how to read chat. I will save the log for the next ones. Im sure this meta is a problem only if you cant read chat and do CC. But i agree about RNG, it really can be annoying. But thats nothing on the final result, What really means is boons, dps and cc (whats new?). Also, someone have the size of the breakbar/escalation of soo won? Because im sure if 1/2 of squad or less got EMP and use it on CC bar, all squads break her bar.
  13. I think they really need to add more data to that 60%. 60% win rate doesn't say much. I would love to see the arcdps of your run too 😞 Because I can't believe I'm so lucky to have been able to make this event successful so many times in a roll.
  14. Did it again yesterday. PUG squad, the only difference is that we had alac/quickness/might in each sub, we broke all cc bars and follow commander: done with 7 or 8 min left.
  15. Do you think follow commander calls is a hardcore thing? Or ccing boss when you see a blue bar is a hardcore thing? 7k dps is a hardcore thing? Sometimes I think arenanet created a game with many features, but it's not possible to use them, as people will complain. It is "so hard", this is "hardcore". CC bar is a basic mechanic in the game. Also, there's a tutorial about cc on Dragons End story, did you skip this? I think arenanet put this tutorial there for some reason. What to do then? Will all bosses be like Pinata now?
  16. I run DE on reset all days, and im on my 20° victory in a roll maybe. I never did it with Hardstuck. But I did it with commanders that ask for specific roles/builds. If you look, most squads that ask for things like alacrity/quickness get victory in that meta. Is this a raid comp?   17. I think the problem with people complaining is the builds they use. When you're playing in a party, you're in a community, both working towards a common goal (finishing the meta), you should use what's BEST FOR YOUR GROUP, not what's best for you. I've sometimes seen people saying "you can't tell me how I should play." I don't think it's wrong/toxic if the commander kicks these people from the squad, do you want to play your way and not help the squad? Then play solo.
  18. You don't necessarily need to change builds for this. The only situation where I see that you really need to change the build is in the DE meta (to adapt to what your group needs). See, I believe another legendary armor from pve is needed. Many people are afraid to start in raids (when I started, I was very afraid too) and they have this armor locked. However, I think that other challenges (challenges, and not completing the map, this is basically time spending) even if they are of a lower level, would be interesting. I could think of fractal cm or - at the very least - fractal t4. Or even the cm strikes. Also noticed that some people complained that in pvp and wvw you don't necessarily need to win to progress in armor. I think an interesting solution to this would be to add the sale of Legendary Insight (exchange) with Gleena, using Magnetite Shard or Gaeting Crystal. Keep in mind that the lower the boss's remaining health in the raid, and you wipe, the higher your magnetite shard or gaeting crystal reward.
  19. I think people asking for this didn't realize that open world already has 2 trinkets, 1 amulet and ALL precursor collections tied to this game mode. Another point, I noticed that the collection suggestions for this armor don't even mention raid, strikes or even fractal. So I wonder, why do you want legendary armor? The QoL that the armor gives you is precisely designed for this type of content. I agree with the idea of another legendary armor in pve, however the collection should be challenging, including at least cm strikes or cm fractals.
