  1. Yes, it is a coverage issue now, because people have steadily stopped playing. And I never claimed it was too strong defense thing: "when the defenders get pushed by the attackers and then there are no counter attackers left" Meaning, when defenders get rolled over, they leave. As in... leave. They don't attack back. Just stop playing. 2 weeks ago the defense fights were poor, nobody really bothered, had a week of a break and come back into this. It's been a steady decline in fights for objectives unless it's a quick flip of an empty thingie. Now that the defense boons(for clarity the things mentioned in the patch notes) are getting ever worse, why bother to fight at all?
  2. Well, this is what happens when the defenders get pushed by the attackers and then there are no counter attackers left. It's been like this since friday, neither blue or green bothers to go into EB anymore. How's the karma train now? The borders have some action yeah so you can do the dailies but even that is max 30 people. And this is on EU T3. https://i.imgur.com/iK9iKUb.jpg
  3. Because after taking a month long break from the game, clear the decay and the first Silver 3 match of peak gameplay. Do note we only had 1 afk on our side. https://imgur.com/GPA6TdN
  4. What does this even mean? I've seen plenty of people saying this but the attributes, runes, and sigils from a character's PvE equipment are not used in structured PvP maps.
  5. I have to agree with nearly everything from the original post and on so many other threads that I've seen. I tried spvp in 2016 and didn't like it, moved to wvw and decided to try again about 10 days ago, enticed by the gold in the pip chests. So I'm not totally new in pvp combat. What I don't understand is why the unranked doesn't give the pip chests. Because the matches seem equally bad in both ranked and unranked and by bad I mean it's total coin toss wether you win or lose. Even if you do your best and try to adjust in the match it most likely won't matter it's gonna end up with 200/500. Most of the fights are "who can spam the most aoe condi and stunlock" and that's it. The visuals are very much covering everything so you kinda have to just spam aoe and hope that something hits. However I don't agree with the TTK part though as I've had plenty of duel fights where they drag out until one team sends another player to help. And I've seen this while trying to play as a support and roamer style with meta builds and my own that fit my playstyle better. However the low population is a big problem in the system. Over the past week I've come to recognize the same names over and over again. Not that it matters since it's still a coin toss wether you win or lose. I think it's very unfair for the higher tier people to be paired vs low tiered players even at the cost of queue times it should not happen. It is very demotivating to be literally spawn camped halfway of a match which has happened more than few times. Haven't seen that many afk people at least in EU. I was given an advice "Do not play during the weekends" and I wanted to see why not, during 4-5 hours I ended up in a 163 point loss streak against players that my random team had no chance to win and it seemed to get worse the lower I got in the divisions. During the week my matches in both ranked and unranked were fairly 50/50. I highly doubt anet is gonna do anything to increase the population, better rewards or something I don't know but I'm not going to stay and increase the population. I find more balanced battles in wvw and more class variety even if the rewards are far worse there. With some 144 matches played and only 51 wins it's more frustrating than fun especially when you can see wether you win or lose the match within the first 1 minute of the game, even if you still do your best.
  6. Do you play on NA or EU? = EU What team were you on during January 12-26? = First Haven, I think, didn't pay much attention What team were you on during January 26-February 2? = First Haven If there is a day of the week and time of day you usually play, what are they? = Most days, 18:00 - 20:00 UTC+2 Did your world restructuring matchups feel more or less balanced than your regular WvW Server matches? = More balanced, population had great coverage on all teams from my point of view Did you select a WvW Guild for the beta? = No Was your guild part of a larger alliance guild? = No Were there usually commanders around during your normal playtime? = There was usually a commander or 2 Which week felt most balanced and enjoyable for you? = All of the weeks were balanced, enjoyable however...? That depends on what I find enjoyable at a given time What part of world restructuring felt the most well executed? = Population number balance What part of world restructuring feels like it has the most room for improvement? = On EU language balancing, if there's a way it would be plenty better to have people with language you can actually understand instead of mixing spanish, france, german and english. On a more general feedback. I did find the beta more enjoyable now that it has actually ended and I'm back on the "chosen world" as I'm now seeing what was actually happening. Early morning PPT crew that cap absolutely everything and you are unable to do your dailies/weeklies, then the rest of the day it's empty on your side = population imbalance. There's plenty more of people afk at the spawn and not actually playing, making it extremely difficult to even flip a camp/tower since the enemies are roaming in numbers of +5. For whatever reasons I found the random people in the beta friendlier and more active in the small scale fights. Commanders are back with voice and discords and whatnots and only accept the meta builds with voice. Granted the big fights were very one-sided in the beta because of the boonball but that's hardly a problem from the beta but more of the short sightness of the devs and their choices. Overall... I've been more convinced that this change might be better for the current guildless randoms. For others it could be if there's a possibility to keep some sembalance of a community and not make it into random OFFENSIVE fights because the defense of objectives was horrible. Garrison was flipped multiple times because nobody came to defend even if it was asked in advance and multiple times. Even I started to feel that "why defend if nobody comes to help? Why have keeps/towers at all?" It was only and ONLY ppt. For those with a large guild and feeling of community and so on... this is probably a worse change. If this randomness actually goes through there HAS TO BE a voice support or something. Joining every few weeks into a new discord for voice chat is an arbitrary burden, especially since there's a big change you never play with those people again.
  7. https://imgur.com/MScKOpj We also had couple of tournaments, never understood why you only got 250 uses on a finisher that is impossible to get these days.
  8. This is the build that I have been running for few years, with updated EoD stuff, I've been running a greatsword + hammer for a while, even before the hammer changes and it slaps. With the lack of healing it relies much on the aegis and dodges for survival but boon rip builds will crush it. It hits hard enough and is surprisingly tanky unless focused on so you have to choose your fights. But it has quite high quickness uptime even if you just tap once the Mantras of Solace, Potence, Liberation and Advance and wait until you get your charges back. With hammer + greatsword it's a bit tankier and you can pressure your foe with leap of faith + change to hammer and keep wailing. Mighty Blow can hit up to 8k damage on squishy targets and Leap of Faith around 5k. The skill 3 from Tome of Courage is a standard reflect skill vs ranged. Relic of Speed is another that I use. If you have the weaponmaster you could run with sword off-hand for more mobility. It's not a guaranteed winner but I can do casual roaming and zerging just fine and get more lootbags than I give out. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PWwAEx3lRwuYPMJmJOyL9PNA-DWZYnhDEOqRBzB5VINFCtmA9WB2eKIABsHeLBODAA-w
  9. Logged in after few weeks. My glitches seem to affect the character and not the enviroment and that happened after I used the Knife Tail Gang Hunting Bond and the effect did not go away after losing the buff. Armor pieces change, character inside the armor is invisible, colour changes, tail is... like from a bad Elder Scrolls mod. https://imgur.com/mu3yR0P https://imgur.com/muzVrFW What is should look like: https://imgur.com/1upiKA8 EDIT: After I used an outfit and took it off, my armor looks have returned.
  10. During World vs World while casually beating up tower guards this one enemy Soulbeast comes along, pews me into my back, mauls my butt and my response to this outrageous assault is promptly to delete myself by my own skills being reflected at me. Can someone explain to me what is going on here? https://i.imgur.com/8kQSfcS.jpg Mystery solved: on a closer look, there seems to have been someone else aswell that I did not see because diamond legend and squire, an asura maybe, those small things.
  11. The 1 dodge would've been fine if you could not be interrupted halfway jump or taking damage, they have to drop the regen somehow if they are keeping 2 dodge. What's more amazing to me is that they haven't fixed the fact that a vindicator can dodge while using siege in WvW/PvE like in Marionette or Silverwastes. So now with 2 dodges you take almost no damage, either heal yourself or grant boons while sitting on that cannon or whatever.
  12. To me this is on the same level as the WvW achievements were 5 years ago, ridicilously high demand for no gain. And in no way are we supposed to agree that the current achievement is reasonable. This is not a long term plan to keep playing. I don't understand what was wrong with the item gain style in the previous living story achievements. Here's the example of the old WvW achievements: There are 6 camps on each map. every 5min every camp spawn 2 dollies, thats a total of 144 per hours for 1 million dollies you need an absolute minimum of 6944 hours. And I do not believe that it is possible to catch all the 12 dollies nor that always all 6 camps are enemy controlled, if you catch 4 every 5 min you are good and it would take 868 days of 24hour play, i.e. longer than GW2 is out now. And they were changed, eventually. Here's also a link to that old forum post: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/WvW-achievements-still-impossible/page/1
  13. What has already been said. The concept is kinda okay, missed the quick daily dungeon type things but there's hardly any people for those. The rewards are low and the chances for the actual rewards are garbage. Since the boss counts as a giant I've been tracking the times I've done this and in the last 49 times I've gotten none of them. I was more fond of the achievement rewards in the past story lines, grind here and there, do some challenges and eventually you can get the new skin or whatever. There's plenty of complaints of how rare these things are. And the simplicity of this mission makes the rarity absurd. Enough so that if this style keeps up with the following stories I'm just not gonna play them. And using this as a raid stepping stone... well no, I'm not intrigued based on this. And yes, I know what raids are. I'm gonna try few more times and if not I'll just forget the whole reward thing, not worth the time/effort. But hey, atleast the giant achievement is going up faster.
