  1. Agreed. Though I think Anet means well but they mostly get their development feedback from the louder minority of the player group since big part of them are the streamers and partners. They don't seem to take into consideration of the casual side until the forums are flooded with angry threads. However, this is not Anet's first time doing this either- every expansion they pull the same stunt...and the same types of tweaks have to happen. I feel maybe another type of feedback communication needs to be done otherwise its going to be the same type of reaction next major content drop.
  2. I'm glad y'all made this suggestion a thing upcoming. it will at least give people more optimism if the meta fails. Thank you for listening. Edit: I don't get why players are upset about the changes; nobody is getting the siege turtle egg without either doing the meta or putting time to invest in buying it. Either way players are still working to earn the reward. Nothing is given without doing something first...
  3. Basically when we get the club in Arborstone; the mini game slots on higher difficulties have way too fast of a expire timer. Like within 2 secs after you're shown the patterns. While some people might have laser fast reflexes, some of us don't for many reasons including disabilities and nerve damage and it would be nice if it the timer was longer like 7-10 seconds or something. At first I thought I was missing the pattern hence losing, but no...it was just that I didn't press any buttons immediately after being shown the pattern.
  4. I got the item from this strike after this reset. I would suggest there to be a note about strikes being a daily reward rotation in-game on the achievements so players who are not familiar with strikes will know and not keep trying when there is just a once a day thing.
  5. I think some of you are not getting that people ARE doing the metas and strikes for the turtle mount; many of those players don't want to do it, but they are, as you put it 'git gud' ... however! so many of them are buggy as hell and it a matter of luck of you manage to complete them and it gives you the reward. Its not fun to wait for a meta or a group for strikes do everything right but the problem is in the game itself.
  6. Tried it again today, still no drop. But I have notice during each run after the first where I couldn't get to the upper level. at the other platform- there is no chest. None of my runs have a chest showing and I asked a squad member to take me to the location and there was nothing on my end.
  7. Yep. If a collection needed to be done in order *usually* the achievements would have a list that doesn't reveal the next step until after you complete the first one. Tbh, CS reps are not really reliable with information anymore and apparently now blaming players for buggy drops.
  8. I have same issues with Kaineng Overlook; I ticket CS about it and they said they couldn't do anything, but said I was doing the collection items in the wrong order. I didn't know you know have to go a certain way with the metas apparently.
  9. All of this. Its not even three weeks and we're already at the point of players getting kicked or pressured out of groups/instances for not being a specific build or having a hard time with the mechanics. No one is saying ALL of GW2 need to be of casual mode but there needs to be a difficulties that branches off to where players can specifically seek that out with likeminded players. Mashing various groups of players with various playing abilities is causing more of a hostile environment than good experience.
  10. The collection process wouldn't be nearly as hard if the scaling was properly done. For certain meta events; players are either asking other players to move to another instances or are trying to find low population ones to avoid how bad the scaling can get. Plus given how buggy some of the metas can get; you can have a number of players who are already pissed that they put in all the time and waiting just for it to fail due to things out of their control. But; yeah- these types of things are not for everyone especially if they are disabled or have a learning issue.
  11. Tried it again. Still not dropping. If there is a percentage or a daily loot thing. You need to make it clear in-game.
  12. I don't know if Anet intended this to happen. But during Kaineng Overlook Strike, I got disconnected and when I returned back before the strike was over. It place my dead character to the base platform with no way up of restarting from check point; that was not the checkpoint above were we normally respawn, which prevented me from getting the thruster control Unit. If this was intended- Please, just boot the player out of the strike if our character 'dies' so we could at leave form another team and not waste time waiting for the rest of the squad to beat it.
  13. I honest feel this way too. I don't mind content that requires *some* mechanics...but the health pools and damage is obnoxiously large. Its that way for almost every event for the new mount.
  14. I don't really understand why Anet is trying to squish together various types of players into harder content that has clearly not been tested to factor in different playstyles. In none of the previous expansions; this has worked out either; why did they think this time would be different? This whole thing with the steps to acquire a siege turtle has really turned this community in-game and the forums into unfriendly and uncooperative mess. I have seen players insulting other players, players getting reported for messing up mechanics, and its generally unpleasant right now. I hope Anet considers other alternatives for getting the turtle items or at least if they events fail- there could be keys/currency that over time can be collected and turned in somewhere for those collection items. I've done the meta and honestly? I would rather not do a strike mission or other unbalanced and overtuned event content with how hostile the players are in-game currently.
  15. Hi, I'm typing this up because CS said it was the best thing to do in order to get Anet or at least GW2 Forum staff to see and give feedback. Plus I'm curious to see how this goes. GW2 has a issue with communicating with its players- A lot of the bugs or things they disable/do is primarily posted on twitter, but not so much on the forums (outside of patch notes) which leads to threads of bug issues being longer or more misinformed than they need to. I also find some of the ticket subjects that is listed on the website; the CS cannot help with and they direct the players here; I believe some of those ticket issue subjects should be changed or there should be a message notice on the ticket page to let players know beforehand. A few years ago (more than two) The forums use to have staff members make messages or acknowledge the issues more frequent even if it was a copy paste message and from there; the other players would link those messages to anyone who didn't know. Sometimes it would even be a known bug issues pinned mega thread. It could be a un-staffing issue going on right now; but I do feel that there is a disconnect with the communication to players when they are having problems or GW2 posting tweets on twitter but not as much here. I do see the dev tracker and I do see some of the replies from the staff, but again, there would be a lot less disgruntled players if there was some message or announcement (outside of patch notes and fixes) regarding the issues...that is not a twitter post. I'm not expecting anyone to agree with my thoughts; some player might think this current way is the best ever. I am however, posting this because A. CS swears this is the best method and B. whatever the outcome- it'll show in a thread...that hopefully it will not be deleted.
