  1. I don't think I'm being dramatic when I say I would kill every other commander if it meant I'd get my own Kodan cub.
  2. The level 10 story is the final part of the first chapter of personal story. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Personal_story#Chapter_1 If you were playing a Human with the Commoner background, for example, your level 10 story step would be The Commander. Finishing that step rewards you with a black lion key. So you definitely should have gotten one then, as well as for finishing the level 40 and 60 storylines. Had you done the level 10 story on a different character within the past week of doing it on that one character?
  3. Go do the Dragon's End meta sometime to see how many people still get downed or die to Soo-won's initial attack. Or go do Tequatl (much older content) and see how many people still get downed/die to the various AOEs around his feet because they just don't move. It's not a UI problem. It's the same old problem of people just not paying attention.
  4. What cronospere said. Spears, spearguns, and tridents haven't been part of most weapon sets/boxes for quite some time now. It's very possible she just never sold a chest of spears. I'm pretty sure there are spears in the Chest of Raider's Two-Handed Weapons that she sells, though.
  5. The glyphs in the Black Lion Glyph Selection Containers are all account bound on acquire. They cannot be sold on the TP.
  6. What are you talking about? The personal story was/is a huge part of leveling. And Lost Shores was released in November of 2012, just three months after launch. Living World came out the following January. Story has always been a major part of this game.
  7. For real. Even I, someone who really likes cutscenes and exposition, think those can go on a bit too long. 😉
  8. Masteries help your mounts and gliding function better than baseline. Raptor, for example, gets a longer jump when the mastery is trained. Training masteries for gliding lets you glide faster and for longer. So no, you don't NEED them, but having them makes using those features much more enjoyable.
  9. Well, if you know you'll be needing a lot of volatile magic and don't care about the rest that comes with Ultimate, then I'd just go ahead and get those. But if you're not sure if you'll end up needing a ton of it, then there's no harm in getting the Ultimate edition for the Janthir tools and then picking what glyphs you want from the provided containers (once they're out Tuesday). In my personal opinion, the Ultimate edition is a pretty good deal, considering you get the 4000 gems (which you could use for the volatile set for an alt, if you really wanted), the set of tools (usually a cost of at least 2000 gems on the gem store), the expansion, and then the other cosmetic items. But really, it's just up to your personal preference for how you spend your money.
  10. Everyone who got the Janthir tools will get glyph containers on launch day. They realized it was a bit of a goof to not give glyphs, so they're adding them. Edit: "Beginning with the August 20 game update, all players who have Eldritch Horror Gathering Tools will be able to visit a Black Lion Exchange Specialist at any of these locations to exchange them for a version that includes the glyph selection containers. Players who purchase the Deluxe, Ultimate, or Digital Deluxe Upgrade editions of Janthir Wilds after the August 20 game update will automatically receive three glyph selection containers with the Eldritch Horror Gathering Tools."
  11. It's not on a long timer, but it requires the Forro event to be done first. It also won't appear if the meta event chain is happening. And both the Forro and Narcisse events are heavily prone to bugging.
  12. That's why we already have it set up that succeeding gives more rewards than failing, and all without the pointless appendage measuring contest.
  13. So it's a crappy way to design rewards for open world content, but you already know that.
  14. While there are definitely a number of minis with no use, there are some that are used in recipes to make other minis. Mini Professor Mew is used to create Mini Mister Mittens, which is used to make Baron von Scrufflebutt, which is used to make Mini Snuggles.
  15. While I think the people you're referring to probably are doing something they shouldn't be doing, a player not responding to a message doesn't really mean anything. I've lost count of the number of groups I've been in where people just flat out ignore all chat. It's common behavior. Also, bot reports will never give you an immediate action or response. They investigate the reports first.
  16. To unlock fishing you have to have at least one level 80 character and own the End of Dragons expansion. If you have both of those things, then you can start the End of Dragons expansion story by going to your Hero Panel (press H), and click on the Story Journal tab on the lefthand side (the star-shaped symbol). Then find and click on End of Dragons in the list, and then choose to start the story. Once you've finished the first two parts (0. Convergence and 1. Old Friends), you'll unlock fishing. Keep in mind that if you care about experiencing the story chronologically, you might not want to do that. But if that doesn't matter to you, then go right ahead, and have fun fishing! Edit: And once you start the story, you'll get in-game mail and big green stars on the maps to show you where you'll need to go.
  17. Probably not the case here, but did you use a kit to change your eye color to Chocolate yesterday but somehow didn't actually save the change? Otherwise, yeah, I'd try a repair and Support.
  18. Where are you looking at the cooking station? Do they show up in your Materials Storage?
  19. Just to make sure, since you haven't explicitly said you've done it: have you taken the fourth statuette out of your bank and taken it to the NPC to try to turn it in?
  20. My only thought is to try a different forge.
  21. To be fair, 177g is a lot of gold for many players, especially for a dye.
  22. As others already said, it's not a possible drop. The Imperial Everbloom Sprout is, but that's it.
