  1. Friend that doesn't have the expansion yet is thinking of getting the Thousand Seas Pavilion pass now. It is available on the Gem Store for them so we are thinking it's not restricted to EoD. Is it restricted to the EoD expansion? Don't want them to waste gold in gems to buy it and then not being able to use it until they are able to purchase the expansion. Before anyone asks, the reason behind it is that these items don't stay too long on the Gem Store and they have the gold to convert to gems now to get it, and the pass will probably be gone by the time they can purchase the expansion and who knows when it will be added back. Does anyone know 100% sure?
  2. Would definitely like to see the fishing supplies vendor have the higher quality lures and to be able to open the map and WP to any place in the world. Add those two and it would be perfect.
  3. I'm kinda bringing up a point I tried to make on a thread that I just had started before the EoD subforum got archived/readonly. Why doesn't the fishing rod have Fishing Power? Other games that have fishing have rods that give you better stats, hence why I was disappointed when I got the Spiritwood Fishing Rod and it didn't have any extra stats and it's just a skin. Why make it "ascended" to begin with, it doesn't have the typical "ascended" behavior that has a bit more stats than exotic, and so on. Also, why not make rods craftable? Is that something you are planning to bring eventually?
  4. Hi, with the upcoming release of LS1, my old Lion's Arch nostalgia is kicking in really bad. I can't wait to be able to play the story so I can go revisit the old Lion's Arch, and then I realized I really would like a guild hall themed after the old Lion's Arch. Currently we have 2 HoT guild halls, a PoF one and an EoD one, but we don't have a core game GH. And what better way to bring back the old Lion's Arch than to have it as a Guild Hall? I know a lot of people are very nostalgic about old LA and would like to be able to have that one instead of the current one, but imagine how cool would it be to have old LA as one?

  6. Mine is constantly crashes when I try to "Replay for achievements". Either 2 options cause a crash (and don't have arcdps or any other addons running)
  7. I noticed today while getting my dailies through the API was throwing an error. When I debugged my code, it looks like the endpoint today is returning the old schema for required_access: https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/achievements/daily?v=latest "required_access": [ "GuildWars2", "HeartOfThorns", "PathOfFire" ] according to the API documentation here https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/API:2/achievements/daily, Even worse, tomorrow's dailies has been switching between returning the old schema, and not returning required_access at all https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/achievements/daily/tomorrow?v=latest doesn't matter if I pass v=latest, or a specific date past 2019-05-16, it always returns the old schema thus breaking my code that is using the new one for quite some time
  8. Hi ANET. After countless weeks of grinding to finish all the 30 fishing collections, getting my title and buying the ascend Spiritwood Fishing Rod, I'm a bit disappointed at the fact that it's just a skin. For all the trouble, especially for the Saltwater collections, I would have expected this fishing rod being ascended to give some extra Fishing Power. Yes I know this affects 0.02% of the population (only 57 of us have completed that use gw2efficiency), but it's something maybe you can look into? If feel incomplete as a Cod Swimming Amongst Mere Minnows when I throw my Spiritwood Fishing Rod line at a fishing hole and the difficulty is yellow or red 🙂 Thanks, Itsy
  9. I really hate this design that stuff can attack you while on the skiff, damage you, damage/destroy your skiff in seconds without you noticing it but you can't attack back. And on top of it, you have like what, 15 sec to kill the enemies and get out of combat and respawn your skiff before you lose association to it? It's horrible Also I posted about it before on another thread, there is no way of you knowing your skiff's health while you are standing on it or fishing. So most of the time you don't even realize that the enemies are damaging the skiff and you just flop into the water.
  10. omg yes. when I noticed that at first I didn't even realize it was a fishing thing, I thought my eyes were going crazy cause I thought I was seeing little red dots on the minimap. It wasn't until I started fishing that I realized what it was
  11. yeah it really ruins the cutscenes since it's always show. I get the "marketing gimmick" comments, but we already already have that icon being fully lit and a blue glow when they want to let us know that there's a new item on the store. This sounds like a bug to me, and if if intentional, then it's a horrible UX decision and breaks all the UI design patterns.
  12. Interesting, i can right click on the Jade Bot: Personal Waypoint mastery to set "Activate Mastery Skill (J)" to it. Do you have that Mastery unlocked? My beef is with not being able to assign individual keybinds for each mastery instead of having to pick 1 of the 3
  13. I actually figured out this problem, and I feel super dumb cause I've had the same issue with the WvW mount skill 4 since it came out. It looks like if you set Mount Ability 1 to 4 and Mount Ability 2 to 5, it breaks it. So I just removed those binds and put something else and now everything works... Still looks like a bug cause it happens only with certain skills
  14. my skiff has disappeared from under my feet too but I think it's that something is attacking it. I also posted about that since there is no indication while you are fishing that your skiff is taking damage or health is low
  15. Thanks. It's even worse from what I captured on that video. 1. like 95% of the time when I drop anchor, the icon appears 2. If you stand between the first to boards infront of the boat, it's always on. That spot doesnt recognize you standing in the boat at all. 3. Sometimes you are standing on the boards themselves, and as the boat sways, especially in the middle of fishing, it turns on and off continuously, along the Board [F] text, which is quite disturbing 4. Also, every time you drop anchor, the camera seems to be stuck inside the lantern and then a second later it pops out IDK I'm very frustrated at this right now since 1600 gems is not cheap and this is pretty broken and considering going back to the other skiff skins to avoid all the hassle
  16. I thought these would be disabled via Game Messages > Inventory like the rest of the gathering messages, but they don't turn them off. Actually if you disable everything under Game Messages they won't go away. The only way to get them to go away is by disabling Game Messages itself. Is there a hidden checkbox for fishing? Or are they supposed to be tied to Inventory like the rest of the gathering/item acquisition?
  17. Title says it all, when fishing with the commander tag on, the red ! doesn't show up when the fish bites, and you sorely have to rely to hearing the sound and maybe the minnow moving to know that you need to press 1 to start fishing 😞
  18. here's a video of the issue with the collision detection and the "Losing association". I noticed that it happens a lot right after I drop anchor, pretty consistent. It's really broken
  19. also, the camera is always stuck inside the back part of the boat/lantern when you drop anchor and it's very annoying to get it unstuck to start fishing

  21. A lot of the times while standing on the skiff using the new Crescent Canoe skin, it doesn't recognize I'm standing in the skiff and I get the Losing Association icon. Have lost my Fishing Party Stacks a few times because of this. Here is a screenshot https://imgur.com/iaeAXVl
  22. Hi Anet, super big fan of fishing. Thanks for adding it to the game, been wanting it for years 🙂 That said, here are some suggestions that would make the fishing experience better: 1. Bait/Lure: Right now I have to fish with my Hero panel open in the Fishing screen in order to know if either of them are empty. Would be nice if we had some indicator on the main UI when fishing mode is active to show how much of lure/bait we have. 2. Skiff Health: While in fishing mode, we sometimes get attacked by monsters underneath us. There is no indicator of the skiff getting damage or how much health it has left, and most of the times I don't even realize that the skiff is being attacked until I drop to the water. While riding the skiff the health displayed is the skiff health, why not the same thing while you are fishing standing on the skiff? 3. Angler Sense: Why do we have this skill on #6 while riding the skiff and #5 while fishing? Can't we have them on the same slot? 4. Keybinds: Could we have individual keybinds for fishing and spawning the skiff? It's super cumbersome the way it is right now. So many clicks/keypresses in order to place the skiff/board, move, drop anchor, enable fishing mode. Agh, it's just so inconsistent
  23. yeah idky there isnt a keybind for it. all the other mounts have had a keybind option when they got released

  25. It's really cumbersome trying to click on that tiiiiiiiiny bar below the weapon swap and select the skiff or fish or jade bot and only being able to keybind to 1 of them is underwhelming. We have the same ability I'm suggesting for mounts and novelties, why didn't this get added for these masteries as well? Would definitely make QoL and usability a lot better.
