  1. And now you're just ignoring the 50 man blob sitting on that map. Hey might as well just do away with outnumbered altogether cause it's not fair for anyone, and let the boon blob rampage over an empty map. 😏
  2. If 7 from the blob is over with the 3 it wouldn't be a problem now would it. In fact if that blob breaks up into 25 at each keep the defenders would be taking a vacation. Meanwhile there are other targets they could attack that's lower profile, a keep tends to attract more defenders. 🤷‍♂️ Funny that it's unfair and frustrating to the 3 but not to the 10 that have a blob 5x their size on their "home map", they have no control over that either. 🤷‍♂️ P.S I'm not exactly for changes like these anyways, it could be interesting affects to outnumbered, but with players mentality it would just turn toxic. If anything like this were to be implement then outnumbered should be localized to territories instead of map wide, so those 10 would get it against the 50 in bay, but not against the 3 in hills(the 3 in hills wouldn't get it either since their side has the most amount of players on the map). So essentially outnumbered becomes two layered, you get the potential of outnumbered buff if your side is outnumbered on the map, but you would only get it if you were actually outnumbered in numbers in a territory. But anet is lazy and only bothers to throw on outnumbered now by the ticks regardless of the situation. I still would prefer outnumber change to overwhelming, where the biggest side gets this affect that gives bonuses to their opponents that fight them, thus promoting a more healthy 2v1 situation, and not the clown 2v1 on the weakest always.

  4. Because the overall situation is 53 vs 10 on the map, regardless of how they divided themselves up. The three are just paying the consequences of their blob attacking one target, and being too large for the defenders to bother with so they defend the next best option, the other keep. Not to mention the 3 are also taking on a target above their pay grade. ----- Perma stab or superspeed for outnumbered would be interesting, but then we get into the usual territory of people telling others to get off the map so they can get the bonus. And less we all forgot already, the solution that anet expects from you now, is to not to defend unless you got a map queue, otherwise go to desert and sneak cap objectives all day long.
  5. Well then neither should any other skill in the game work without LOS, that includes aoes and mobility skills. Then everyone could freely stare at each other while breaking down the gate or wall I suppose, although you could already do this by being on the mount in the first place....
  6. Technically he moved his entire top raiding guild over to WoW after being impressed with the alpha/beta, at the time soe was putting out buggy content you couldn't even clear. Blizzard did eventually hire some of the guild leaders as devs. EQ1 and 2 still live on to this day though, still releasing an expansion every year. Anet hired a player too.... I'd say it isn't working out too well for wvw either...
  7. These f'ing changes are so god kitten garbage. Defenders advantage, the biggest idiotic statement since "Cornerstone". They don't want you to defend, so stop defending, stop feeding bags, give them empty objectives and you'll see how fast they go back on this dumb philosophy. Absolutely moronic what they have done to this game mode catering to super support boon blobs, kitten clown show.
  8. Cancel World Restucturing. Add full skirmish rewards, mount, and gliding, to EOTM. Reduce NA to two tiers, give EU all 27 servers since they don't like each other. Now we will have the casual/pug trains moving to EOTM like before, no queues to worry about. The elite will get four free maps to fight without siege. Win/Win for everyone. You're welcome. 🍦🍿
  9. A cannon cannot kill a ram before the reinforced gate does down. It was funny. I watched the commander drop rams, and then went on inspecting a fashion show with his zerg while waiting not even worried about siege. It was funny. This commander went into inner smiling that they were going to farm bags on inner. It was funny. It was a totally comfortable break in for the commander. It was funny. They said the defenders will log after they break their spirit. It was funny. They were farming a havoc guild with pugs with their fight guild. It was funny. They totally didn't feel any pressure capturing a T3 garrison, the small ring totally helped, it was fun for them, mission accomplished anet. It's funny sad what they turned wvw into. Lets see how long before you all get bored. 😏🍿

These are the low-mid tiers guild I'm talking about, you can get good fights from these groups still, many still run in lower numbers, it's the super sweaty or blob guilds that ruin content on a map, the ones that sweep through a map unopposed because they're too big or too meta for anyone to bother with, other than clueless pugs who will defend stuff no matter what, everyone else just avoids them. Making rings smaller isn't going to suddenly make them come to you. 25v25 was the old gvg numbers, you could make 10's 15's 20's, it isn't the only bracket they could make. Still plenty of guilds around for this. Well what's the matter with that? Why wouldn't you want to go somewhere more private for competition? You all don't want to fight with allies anyways. Wouldn't it be better for you to face each other under same team sizes for the "challenge"? The meta is super stifling to the game mode, it's another barrier of entry for pugs. I'm sure there's plenty of fresh face pug and havoc commanders, (plenty who started as a pug commanders and created their own guild in fact many guilds started this way), would tag up more often if they weren't under the threat of a super meta blob chasing them at every corner because they're desperate to get content for their 50, or under constant pressure to run perfect meta comp for every fight to succeed. You think forcing these competitive players to face each other in another game mode is bad, yet it's ok to force everyone else into gvg mode? Well, that's been going on for like a decade now, so how's that working out for wvw numbers? The devs been buffing boon balls for three years now, yet they still feel the need to nerf game play in order to force people into fights with those elite players? Why has pug commanding been dying off over the years? 6 teams of 15.... from 27 different servers.... But yeah lets force everyone in wvw to play this way... 😏 Huh recruitment problems, I wonder why.
  11. More low-mid level tiered guilds are carried by the support meta, guilds like ViP don't quite get one pushed every fight, good for the big fight guilds to farm them 5sec slower I suppose. Constantly nerfing it doesn't help either way, they're taking away the option smaller groups had to use on bigger groups. Highly organized groups are the ones who are least affected by those changes as they carry more firepower than low to mid level groups, they certainly don't need it for pugs, while pugs/smaller groups will always need it against them, even as unorganized as it is. Outright taking it away made it worse for the lower levels of organization. At this point I think maps run by gvg/fight groups have a negative affect on maps, worse with the support meta, some don't like other groups on the map taking their "content", some don't bother to defend objectives they are just there to fight whatever. While these groups will say pugs make half the map population useless for fighting it also works the other way around with them clogging up maps invisible and defenders can't get enough to defend something on a queued map, while that invised groups is off to some remote tower trying to pull a fight while the defender lose a t3 keep because that invised groups says they can't take on the enemy blob, then why are you even on the queued map when 3 other open maps are available. Kinda pulling that from a recent situation. 🤷‍♂️ Enemies like Indo tend to also kill content when groups fight him once, figure out they can't beat him and run away to another corner or even another map. They also drive down and out pug commanders who might be willing to take a shot at driving the map, but when you see a blob group like Flux or Indo there is just no point to playing that map, you're just feeding those groups. Of course the answer is always, well run your own organized meta group, and the answer to that is, not everyone wants to play like that, if they did they're already in those groups. When boon balls leave the map more pug/havoc commanders are willing to tag up, that's a fact, it happens all the time. Those players always say they want competitive gameplay, so why aren't you all running monthly gvg tournies and what not? oh and don't make the excuses of different tiers, there's eotm and now guild hall arenas to use. Instead you can find them slumming it in keeps farming pugs for bags. No, the real answer is to make a separate rated battleground for those groups, or make a 25v25 spvp map for their tournament system, it should have been done long ago. Fight guilds were better back in the day, these days they don't care about wvw, grew fat and lazy, get catered to for their meta, and overall have become a blight to wvw game mode instead. Go ahead and wutface me about it -->

  15. Well he wasn't hiding behind the merlon part of the wall, the running edge of the walls are not that high nor are they evenly placed in height as in some places you can easily just W over it. If you were pushed to one in real life you are most certainly going to trip over it, although in a lot of places particularly the T3 iron upgraded versions of walls it's pretty hard to pull people over it unless there was a lot of momentum generated from the pull(sometimes you get to see people get tossed high into the air because of this). Also kinda hilarious to state not being able to target an attacker without exposing yourself, when it's a ranger in the video who has access to longbow 5 which doesn't need los and recently buffed for wvw. 🤷‍♂️
  16. Yeah like I said before I'm not really a fan of stat bonuses, even for outnumbered situations, that was just more of an example of breaking up bonuses over objectives. I'd much rather use tactics and strategy to over come situations like that, it's why I love something like pulling people out of groups, especially when they're running on walls, I don't need extra stats for this, I just needed to get creative with skills and the surroundings. Most other passive bonuses people aren't really going to care about anyways, most didn't care about the pve bonuses from power of the mists, and they probably don't even notice the magic find or speed boost you get from guild claims. Planetside had a nice system of using lattice system of captures, and every objective was unique and offered unlocks for your army as you went through, like unlocking drop ships or tanks on that continent. Unfortunately that's harder to translate for wvw, or maybe if you capture hills it unlocks char cars there for you to take like eotm has the scorpion unlocks for siege. 🤭 But in the end it all really doesn't matter, everything will be ignored as usual. 🤷‍♂️
  17. Except they've nerfed siege damage, supply in objectives, stats, and every other advantage you can get for defenses. I doubt they want to add any bonuses of that nature. Might have been more interesting if they went and split the bloodlust stats into pieces and place them in different objectives. Like Set would be like +10 power, Swt would be +10 condition damage, etc, etc, or maybe every tower gives your team +5 to all stats, and the keeps give +10 to all stats. Maybe every camp you own on the map gives you +1 to your max supply total. maybe capturing an objective reduces cooldowns on all current tactivators on cooldown, maybe each objectives give +1% swiftness top speed, or mount speed, or glider speed. Maybe owning firekeep lets your auto attack proc burn, maybe Air keep lets your auto attack proc a free sigil of air, maybe owning earth keep lets your auto attack proc protection, etc etc etc. I'm sure there's a bunch of interesting things we could do there beyond stats and points, but the reality is, this is anet, they don't really want to work on wvw, it will not change from a points system, and they don't believe in straight balance, only extreme lopsided balance, comfortable snowballs that favors the blobs they run in. And the "listening to feedback and monitor how these changes" is a bunch of crock, nothing we say in here matters anyways. 🤷‍♂️

  19. You mean the guilds that gvg like once a week and then spend 2-6 days in regular wvw farming bags? 😏
  20. You know, it is a bit weird that it takes the same time for white swords to show up at a camp as a walled up objective. Camps should probably take 10-15sec to pop white swords, while the objectives take the 30sec.
  21. It sorta has happened in Gw2 before though... Desert borderlands and HoT release, then after 6 months Colin had left, Mike had taken over, and then alpines came back and WvW enjoyed new development for another year. I don't think wvw would get shut down this time, I think WR is close enough to being done that it would get done and then wvw would just go back to maintenance mode forever and not even be made in gw3. But for any of that to happen it would require a massive amount of the fight guilds "food sources" to quit, or the fight guilds to finally rebel against their master, lol yeah right. So it's not going to happen.
