  1. You don't need the trib weapons, you want them. Players do not have to get all all available rewards within a single year. The stuff that they add to festivals are hardly substantial; a newer player won't really have that much additional work. Like the trib weapons, you don't need every reward. If you're not going to realistically use any of it, then there's no point other than to say you have it. It's just a self-imposed problem created by FOMO.
  2. People want more SAB and here you are wanting to remove some of it.
  3. If they do make a GW3, it would have to be a much smaller game that way their team has the capacity to support in in its entirety. Something like GW2 is just too big for the existing team.
  4. Here's what will happen: You'll have people telling you to report and move on Anet will eventually lock or delete this thread
  5. I don't believe that would be true for the maps that get split across several releases. A player just starting the map after the second or third release could potentially get spoilers.
  6. It's how they pad out the releases which they started doing with IBS. I personally dislike how it interferes with the story but then we only really got like 20 minutes of story. We'd still be disappointed; just about something else instead. Another thing that I disliked was how repetitive the fights are as most are just wave after wave essentially feeling like a grind. You complete one set of waves and then progress to the next story step to only be met with more. It just feels low effort compared to what we had in LS2-4. Even some of the map events were essentially copy and pasted as you have a three event chain that starts with destroying tentacles which is practically identical to the one on the first part. The event in the NW corner that you have to use bombs before you can do damage is tedious due to how many things you have to kill.
  7. What's wrong with having something for those that want the challenge? CMs are essentially the replacement for raids until those themselves get replaced with whatever they have next.
  8. This is the route that they taken with these optional endgame items since EoD that require a significant. At least these ones are buyable off the TP.
  9. The reasons have been specified. You just shrugged them off as minor things people would get past.
  10. So according to you, who have played all of these MMOs, every MMO is the same? Raids in every MMO are the same?
  11. I know. I'm trying to walk them through in critically thinking their position but it's not working.
  12. Can you provide several example of how they are the same using examples from all of the games?
  13. How are GW2 raids the same as those in FF14 and WoW? Them all sharing the same content category name is not an answer.
  14. You haven't answered those questions. All that you've done is state those things as facts to support your position that a raid finder should be added.
  15. How would it bring in newer players? How would it be more ease of access? How would this get around the obstacles of determining which mechanics players will do? What happens if nobody knows how to do them? Why do you thing this would be successful in GW2?
  16. I'm already starting to repeat myself multiple times. You clearly don't know how a raid finder is used in other MMOs and why it wouldn't work in GW2. You don't understand how GW2 raids are not the same as those in other MMOs. You also don't seem to have a strong understanding of GW2 raids and how players would account for specific roles that handle specific mechanics that change with each boss. You also seem to feel that a raid finder would magically create new players while existing players would stick with the LFG or remain with their statics.
